Such an amazing time! Staff was wonderful, we got some fresh fruit from the farm, as a thank you. The zipline and aquaball were a BLAST! As we discussed the adventure, we all agreed that, at first glance, everyone wasnt quite sure if it would be cool. We were totally proven wrong!!! Truly one of the most fun things weve done as a family. When you go, do the package with zipline and aquaball. The view of the ocean, Lanai and the mountains is beautiful. If youre looking for a tropical forest zipline, this isnt that. Ive ridden a few ziplines and this is a great one. Thanks again MDFF staff, you were awesome, patient and generous...when you can keep three teens engaged, you have some skills :-)

A Dream Wedding at The Dragon Fruit Farm! My husband and I have been to a million beach weddings and wanted something different, but still with the traditional Hawaiian feel. We found the Dragon Fruit Farm and fell in love. Crystal and her family and employees at the farm were amazing! Even when there was huge fire up the mountain, and The Dragon Fruit farm almost lost everything, they were still so hopeful and generous and our location was still so beautiful! We couldnt have imagined better Mountain and Ocean views! It was truly our dream wedding!

Did the farm tour here -- very fun and educational and not too expensive either ($15/pp). Unfortunately dragon fruit was out of season while we were visiting, but they still had some to sample along with jam and dragon fruit lemonade -- delicious! Our tour guide was super nice and helpful in answering all our questions. Would definitely recommend visiting.

Laura, our tour guide, was awesome!! She was very knowledgeable, let us stop for water, and gave us great recommendations for places to go as well. Really interesting to learn about the land, the volcanos, the islands, and the plants! The fruit at the end was very tasty, and really fun to try the different fruits. We even took home a small jar of jam - yum! Only about 1.5-2 hours so it was a fun lunch adventure. Thanks Laura!!

Stopped by to pick up some fruit. Got one soursop and a few passion fruit for a total of 2lbs, shown in the photos. They said, How about we make it $15? They then said the price was $8/lb, which had not been listed anywhere. Well, we went ahead with the purchase, begrudgingly, and while the passion fruit was very good, the soursop was borderline rotten when we cut it up 24 hours later (the inside should be white, not so discolored). So we effectively paid $15 for 3 passion fruits.

Really debated 2 vs 3 stars. Compared to the Maui Tropical Plantation Tour, this was horribly overpriced. It should be $5-$10, a token entrance fee. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, especially given she’d only been there 1 month. The farm is very small. Great view to the ocean. Recovering still from a bad fire. The fruit tasting was nice and learning a little about the fruit. Overall, just way overpriced for what you see/do. Seems like a hobby farm charging high rates to keep their hobby going. Tropical Plantation Tour cost less for a huge, expansive and well kept farm. If the dragonfruit farm was much cheaper, I’d say worth a quick visit if you’re already in the area. But not worth the current price or traveling a distance to see.

Cool place and worth going for the view alone. Get to eat some good fresh fruit. Especially the dragon fruit which I had never had before. And apparently it’s the largest organic dragon fruit farm in the US. Tour guide wasn’t overly knowledgable in farming practices but his great attitude made up for it.We did this after the O’o farm tour which was much better than this so that’s why this seemed a little less cool

This is our first time visiting Maui Dragon Fruit farm. I took my parents and my Aunt on a tour here 2 weeks ago. We travelled all the way from FL, NJ & CA. Mattie and Noah were very welcoming to us. It was a great experience and we enjoyed eating a plate of fresh fruit, jelly, and lemonade after the tour. We even purchased dragon fruit, ice cream banana to eat at our villa & lillikoi jelly to gift to family on the mainland. Its no wonder they host weddings here because the property is beautiful. Thank you!!

The people here are extremely hospitable, offering free fruit from Papaya to Bananas to Dragonfruit of course. We got to see the entire property and learned a lot about a variety of food they grow and even about local plants. Even with a recent fire burning the majority of their grounds two weeks before, the employees were very welcoming and happy to share their knowledge

We had an excellent time here. Honestly a highlight of our trip to Maui. We got a tour from the owner and went ziplining. The zip line is average, but you do get to go 4 times. Interesting Experience .... Im not one to post negative reviews, because I know how much they can hurt a business, but this tour was just weird from the start... The 5 minutes it took to see and learn about the dragon fruit was neat, but the rest of the tour .... I believe the farm help is knowledgeable, and means well, but they should have a dedicated trained person who is charismatic with visitors from the moment they pull in the driveway, if theyre going to sell tours.

Loved the tranquility. Run by volunteers in exchange for food (WOLF program?)Young adults made it joyful with their enthusiasm, optimism, and knowledge. My sister got to ride in a golf cart while another beautiful angel accompanied her due to her recent knee surgery. Not far to walk as they explain the fruits of the island. We got to sample fresh coconut water, as well as dragon fruit, icecream bananas, pineapple, and papaya. Yum! The two cart riders made everyone laugh as they maneuvered themselves around. We had fun! I have some difficulty walking due to a car accident, but this trek was not difficult and not rushed, which helped. Its a great place to visit if youve done most of the touristy things on Maui.

Really fun and interesting!! And not as commercial feeling as the tropical plantation. Run by WWOOFers. Learned a lot about the fruit they grow and their recovery from the bad wildfire. Wish Id also done the zipline and the aqua ball. You can buy tickets for those while youre there. Other tour people did that since our tour was early and not busy. Not sure how busy it is in the afternoon. We felt so welcomed and like part of their team. Not much shade but you can borrow a big hat.

Its unfortunate that a lot of their plants burned in the recent fires, but they were very gracious hosts and gave us a great tour. Lots of pineapple, papaya, and of course dragon fruit to sample before and after the tour, and we even got to try some dragon fruit right off the plant! Try the dragon fruit guava jam, its pretty unique and also quite tasty. They have some pretty fantastic views of the ocean and Lanai, and plenty of interesting information on their farm and farming techniques. Due to the location and lack of cover, the sun can be pretty brutal, so plan accordingly!

My husband and I ended up visiting the dragon fruit farm because of zipline Groupon we purchased. I have always wanted to try ziplining so I figured I would do it in Maui. Honestly, the zipline experience was underwhelming for adults but I can see how it would be a great experience for kids. The highlight of the trip was Liz and Corey. They are WWOOFERS who work on the farm in exchange for living there for free. They could have done the basic tour of the farm since theyre temporary workers and owner wasnt even around. But they really went out of their way to show us around and explain everything. Liz taught all us so much about plants while walking around the farm and seemed genuinely excited to be there. She was so personable and kind. At the end of the tour, Liz provided us with a huge plate of fruits consisting of papaya, dragonfruit, passion fruit, guava, and apple bananas. We were not expecting fruit sampling at the end and that was so awesome as we had not had these fruits back home on the East coast. This actually ended up being my FAVORITE experience while we stayed in Maui for a week. I cannot praise Liz enough!

Do not go! I think all of their budget has recently been spent on advertising and none for upkeep. We were really excited to go do the tour, the zipline, and the aquaball. When we arrived we were told that it might be too windy to do anyting which was okay except that it didnt really appear to be windy at all. So we took their advice and canceled ziplining with the intent to aquaball and the tour. We started with the tour which was led by a young man who literally knew nothing about anything at all. He was happy to tell us about his experiences in Montana and California, and traveling, but couldnt really tell us anything about the dragon fruit farm at all except about how the dragon fruit was pollinated. Even the simplest questions were Beyond his ability to answer. Moreover when we were settled in the shade to talk for a few minutes, he stepped aside to smoke weed. Later he told us that he was really happy for company because he had been dealing with a lot of demons in his head. This did not Inspire confidence. We looked at the zip line and Im glad we canceled because it was a single line and a short distance between the two towers. All of the advertisements showed a really cool aquaball course with green carpeting or AstroTurf, what we saw that day was Burwood and our guides inability to tell us how we would stop at the end. On top of that he kept going off about how it wasted water, how they were in a drought, and how when official people would show up they were told to not talk to anybody and to go the other way. Seems very sketchy. Because we canceled be aquaball and ziplining on their advice, the tour was $25 a piece this was for a maybe 20 minute tour, that was mostly our guide stuttering and saying thats a good question I dont know the answer, while other workers clearly did their best to avoid us. We are promised a tasting of a bunch of fruit at the end, and many of the items that we talked about on the tour we did not get to try, and our guide wasnt even really sure what some of the things where were eating or how to eat them. Very disappointed, I feel like maybe this place has fallen on hard times and used to be really awesome because you can see the bones of a cool experience are there, however for us that day it was just really unfortunate and Im very sad we went.

Its a small farm, established 2009 and though they dont have large volume they do grow a lot of bananas, papayas, and pineapples. Our guide Paris had a lot of useful information about the plants they grow there, and invited us to see, smell, and even pick flowers and fruit from the plants there. The zip line is simple, two platforms with two lines between them, but the guests who picked that option were clearly enjoying themselves. The aqua ball looked like fun, its one downhill ramp. My daughter begged to go, but you really need to have a swimsuit to do it, its a wet sport.

Staff was great and very informative but the farm itself was much smaller and not what we expected. The tour was expensive to walk down a gravel driveway and back ($15 per person). The Dragon fruit was also out of season but that was unavoidable with it being March. If you want to do the aqua ball check Costco online before going (they had tickets before we came). Aqua ball is about $25 more per person to ride when tickets are bought at the farm. The zip line and aqua ball course were also much smaller than expected and not worth the price in my opinion.

Our family (older kids, 14 and 17) visited the farm and signed up for the combo aqua ball and zipline. We were met by 3 staff who are there working the farm. Although not very professional looking, they were all friendly and we totally appreciated their effort to give us a good tour and fun time. We have no problems with the staff. However, our disappointment started soon after. We learned, once there, that dragon fruit is in season in the late summer. We were here in February, so no fruit. In our experience, the zipline and aquaball may be fun for younger families, but our kids quickly became bored with the zipline after a couple of trips and decided not to do the aquaball. We appreciated that the staff refunded us the aquaball portion. All in, we enjoyed seeing and learning about the farm and tropical fruit, but did not feel the experience was even close to wroth the money.
