Great place to have an event/party. Plenty of space indoor and outdoor. A very beautiful building that can host many guest at one time comfortably. This building is staffed with great individuals for an enjoyable time.
The Fowler House Mansion is amazing. Their chefs really know how to cook, and their staff is very attentive. My family and I had a wonderful time at Sunday Brunch they held.
Beautiful atmosphere, great food and service. I love how they have brightened up the interior. So different than I remember as a child going to the museum
While the house is beautiful, I hear that they have been forcing their guests into choosing between forfeiting money paid for the venue, or delaying the wedding during the pandemic. The house is hot and there’s not very good circulation. Would not recommend this venue for crowds who need the space to be handicap accessible. They also did not get the main dish right according to what the bride & groom requested at the wedding for dinner. I would not recommend booking with them. The owners have not been very understanding of the pandemic. I recommend booking with people who care about their guests
Best Location In The Area For EventsComes with Awsome History of Moses Fowler
Great piece of history and place to have your company parties, weddings, birthdays or stop by for Sunday Brunches every second weekend of every month, the staff is great and food is fresh and delicious.
Went the Fowler house for their sunday brunch and it was fantastic! Good food, was served by Jackie, who I assume was running the show that sunday. Was given great service and she was extremely accommodating and pleasant. The temperature inside was great and it is a pretty neat place to be at. I plan on going next month for sure. The changesd from buffet style to a all you can eat type menu where you just keep ordering more food if you like and they bring it to you. I think the change worked out pretty well.
The Fowler House hosted our Huston Christmas party on December 6, 2019 and it was perfect. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The food was amazing and the staff was fantastic. I give them 5 stars!
My husband and I got married at the Fowler House Mansion this summer, it was a dream! The house looked amazing and has so much historic charm. The staff was patient and met all of our needs and expectations. The food prepared by Sovereign catering was delicious. Our guests are still talking about how it was the best food at a wedding they have ever had! If you are looking for a special place for a wedding or event, I highly recommend The Fowler House. You wont be disappointed.
Beautiful place to visit.
Atmosphere and service top notch!, Breakfast part of buffet was just good, lunch/ dinner options were limited to one meat, a pork loin...and some very tough. It was not worth the $30, maybe $15 for food. Another $5 or so for service and atmosphere....maybe.
Went for Sunday brunch with Santa. Biscuits and gravy were great, so was the turkey. Pork loin was dry. Very nice and patient Santa roaming around to talk and take pictures. Dress warm because baby its COLD in there! 58 degrees according to the thermometer on the wall by our table. Will probably go again when the weather is mild.
Beautiful wedding venue. Historical and charming. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
What an amazing venue. So cool.
We had our baby shower here. It was great. Beautiful mansion and scenery. The only reasons why 4 out of 5 is because they cleaned up the food before my family could grab the last of it while we opened gifts, we wanted music but nothing was played, and although the food was AMAZING, I dont think it was worth the price tag. A lot of my family and friends who said the food was delicious and had multiple small plates. The chicken buffalo dip and the charcuterie platters were a biggest hits. However, when they went back to their plates after gifts they were gone.I wouldnt have another party here because of the steep price tag and the less and optimal delivery, but we did it once and that is what I wanted since I was a little girl.
This is a very nice place. It has a lot of authenticity to it in terms of historical accuracy. Its almost like a small museum.
It’s a nice place but there is no parking. Don’t have an event here because there is no air conditioning. Could barely stand the heat.
Very cool old place, and a great example of Gothic style for a New World house. The additions to the house (dining room and upper bedrooms) look like they were added on after original construction, as the build-ins look like early 20th Century materials and builds. That being said, I was thoroughly impressed with the house. Ive lived in this area my whole life and this is my first time stepping through the front door. I was quite enamored.
My wife and I were married at the Fowler House Mansion on June 1. From the one-of-a-kind venue that has been meticulously restored... To the highly professional and top-notch staff.... It was fairytale perfect.Matt Jonkman, president of the 1852 Foundation and purchaser of the mansion, takes great pride in the venue and it shows. We are still being told how amazing the mansion is. We had several attendees who spent most of their time at our wedding walking around and taking pictures of the mansion. It truly is extraordinary and unique place. The real superstar was Director of Operations, Karen Jenkinson. I cant say enough about her. Im not sure a Yelp review could ever do her justice. She is truly a master of her craft. Our wedding was BIG with many moving parts and topped off with uncooperative weather. She had her team fully prepared and on stand-by for two totally different types of weddings up until just a few hours before the ceremony. Once the call was made to go outdoor she led a highly professional team to pull off a fairytale wedding like an indoor wedding was never part of the equation. She exhibits a level of professionalism, decisiveness, bearing, and leadership that few posses. On top of dealing with me and my new father-in-law.... She pulled off a miracle. I can honestly say, given the hand that was dealt, she batted .1000 (as she would say). From planning, presentation, and then performance... she made it happen. Most importantly, she ensured everything was perfect and exactly how my wife and her mother had always envisioned her wedding day. She didnt need any oversight or micromanaging.... She just knew. Being able to provide that kind of confidence and peace of mind is a rare trait. She is truly one of a kind.If youre looking for a truly unique and remarkable venue with an uncompromising and highly professional staff to hold your wedding or any other event... Dont hesitate to use the Fowler House Mansion. You WILL NOT regret it.
Nice mansion good atmosphere
What a gorgeous place! The staff was so helpful with our event.
Was there for a womans Christmas dinner. It was set up nicely for the holidays. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The catered food by Huddleston Catering was delicious. The only downside was the parking which was all over the place and a that a glass of wine was $6 (not a huge surprise though). We look forward to coming back next year.
Beautiful location. If you love Gothic Revival architecture this mansion is a must see!
Love historical homes!
Definitely wear go there again great visit
Nice house. They tried to stick too many chairs in a narrow room making it uncomfortable and a fire hazard. For the right number of people, it would be a lovely venue.
The Fowler house is a beautiful home and the renovations, furniture and decor is fabulous! The Mothers Day Brunch was less than expected. The food selection was slim, not fresh, and picked over. The cost is $35 - 40 per person, and much to our surprise the Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar was NOT INCLUDED. Those were an additional cost of $7.00 each. This was extremely overpriced for the food that was included! I do recommend a tour, but the brunch is absolutely NOT WORTH IT!
Beautiful venue. Made my best friends wedding look immaculate
Love the beautiful old mansion
Valentines dinner was a joy. We celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary. Food was outstanding, atmosphere lovely and staff was extremely gracious. What an asset Fowler House is for the community.
It was nice, very pretty place, but didnt find it handicap accessible

Was here for a wedding. Very nice venue.
I am almost disappointed to write something negative here about an organization that I liked and is well liked by everyone but I feel the need to express this. We approached Fowler House in October and after two weeks or so got a response and could manage a showing two weeks after that. We took all the delays in responses as something that can naturally happen when your venue is booked throughout the year. A day after the showing, we texted our interest in going ahead with the booking (we were told text is the best medium to contact) and we followed it up in next few days with another text. There was no response to either of the texts. In the week following that we followed up with phone calls and there was no response. Ultimately after our 3rd week we sent an email, but there has been no reponse yet. 5th week we decided that we have been ghosted by a wedding venue we were deeply interested in. Thanks to the absence of a civil explanation of why we might not be able to use the venue for our wedding (our dates were flexible), we speculated a lot of negative things that could be wrong with us adding to the stress that couples already feel while planning a wedding. Thankfully we are out of that place now, but I hope this comment helps the organization understand that while they retain full rights to allow which events are held in their property, transparency in communication is better for all the parties involved and goes a long way.
Beautiful venue for small gatherings and parties.
This house is truly a historic beauty!
Beautiful mansion
The staff was amazing to work with :)
Great venue!
Love it
Beautiful building.
