Opechee Park

Great place to take photos. Especially this time of year when the trees are turning colors. The fall colors and the lake make a great photo combination.

My grandsons soccer game for MMS. Very cold by the water but great otherwise.

Took my son up there for a nice day and was not disappointed. It was very clean and had plenty of space for my son to run around. It wasnt overly crowded either, which was good. I like that theres a small beach as well. Except for all the goose poop, it was pretty clean!

Terrible spot if you are looking for a beach. Waterfowl poop was lining all the beach sand. Grass was also growing up through the beach sand. It almost looked abandoned. I thought I had gotten lucky driving by and seeing that no one was on the beach. Now I know why. Town should shut it down to the public and let the waterfowl have it.

Love this place. My kids enjoy playing sports here and the fields are always so clean and neat. Plenty of parking and portapottys. Concession stand has reasonable priced food and drinks for purchase. Playground for all ages and roped off swimming area at the lake. Fun for the whole family

They could have better parking for sure. However do not ever park on grass police will ticket you.

Super convenient for my daughters softball tournament. 4 fields all together, plus 3 parking lots surrounding them.

Love it! Grew up on this lake. I am an avid kayaker, it’s an awesome lake to paddle. Never had duck itch from the water in my 37 years,all of which I spent swimming in that lake. I guess maybe I’m immune by now? Lol.

Its a lovely place to relax under the shade of the big trees. There is some road noise, but we face the lake and get immersed in nature.

Quite spot nice place to relax, just need to be careful of the water because sometimes theres alot of ducks.

Great family space for fun, picnics, and exercise.

Nice lakefront park with beaches, playgrounds, ball fields, and running track.

Its a nice little park to take your children to and its also peaceful to just sit and admire the lake and mountains.

Went to swim here while on a small vacation with my family. We immediately left because the entire re beach area was covered in animal feces. There was what looked like cat feces all through the sand and by the shore there was what we assumed was duck or goose feces. We also witnessed a child pick trash out of the water in the 30 seconds we stood on the beach area. Shame on the town for not keeping the area clean.

Food was all homemade. Excellent quality.

Great place to eat, the prices are really good.

Pretty area, picnic tables, a couple of nice play areas for kids. Absolutely do not send children alone, though. The area is unsafe, drug use is prolific, and in warmer months its not uncommon to find discarded hypodermic needles. Wouldnt recommend swimming: water fowl is abundant as is their feces along the beach and the city no longer tests for e. coli or duck itch, which have been rampant problems in years past.

Not a good place to sunbathe nor is it a good place for swimming the water is frequently contaminated with E. Coli bacteria

Not much fun. Dirty lake and beach. The bathroom facility was okay. The swings were the only thing that my step child liked.

Great place for walking the track or having a picnic lunch. Not a good place for swimming. Too many ducks and geese.

Much thanks to the support staff of this park and the community that keeps it maintained. My family and I moved back to NH after a career in the military and this was the first park I was ever able to take my children, to teach them to skate and play hockey. We have been back multiple times this winter and hope for many more before the ice melts. The ice rinks are too often vacant. I hope to see more people from our community out on the ice for fun and games. My kids are learning quick and were yearning for some pick up games.

Literally go out our door into the parking lot and turn the corner and walk and youre right there great for the kids

Lots of room, two beaches, two play areas for kids, quarter mile track in great shape, lots of history, abundant amount of trash cans.

Needs more parking around the park. Had to use the middle school

This is a simple, but nice park with a playground and lake beach. There is what I think was a school next door, so I may avoid it during the school week.

Great place to play Pokemon go or the Harry Potter wizards unite games. Keep away from swimming in the cove though as duck itch outbreaks happen frequently from there.

Love this place, but when we went to the beach area there was dog poop everywhere. It was disappointing

Girls softball games only thing that would have been better is if the confessions stand had been open.

I love to go walking there!

The lake was pretty and scenic but when we visited, there was an information board close to the water that advises against swimming or wading because of high levels of bacteria in the water. Visitors are asked to contact the states Environmental Services office for updates on water quality.

Grest place to go on hot days

Its a nice park. Located in Laconia. The beach had been closed for a few years. Now re open, its a decent place to have a picnic or bring your kids for a day at the beach.

Noone at the beach in August? Oh ya.. duck itch.. and wth is with the no swimming sign at the point?

The beach is very rocky be sure to bring your water shoes.

Park definitely needs an equipment upgrade..

I was there for a church function. Park was clean and well maintained. It was peaceful and a lovely view of the lakeport area.

The Breast Cancer walk events too place at Opechee Park this morning ....after which we walked and money was raised to contribute to the Breast Cancer Cure.

Fireworks were great this year. Theres a 5k and 10k walk/run at least once a year that I know of. Overall a nice place

First time wall the track with a friend. It took me a while to do it but we did three times around

I didnt go to Opechee Park. I merely drove through Laconia, NH today, apparently with my smartphone on. Then my not-so-smart smartphone asked me to create a review. But I cant review a park I didnt visit. Next time, the airplane mode will be on while driving...

Really nice, clean, great place to take your little one for the day or even just lunch.

Came here for 4th of July fire works. Great show. Wasnt super thrilled to hear someone crack a joke about being bare foot in the sand and how due to needles you dont wanna fo it. Uggg

I just love it

My wife and I went to this location in August of 2017. There were signs posted telling everyone to stay out of the water due to a bacterial contamination. Trash was strewn about. The grass had grown long and was in desperate need of a mow. I read in the paper that there was a heroin bust in the park.All in all it was a mediocre visit at best. Definitely not a first choice of a beach/park to bring the family.

Been going here for years with my kids and now with my grandkids. Every year we have the 4th of July fireworks here the best show ever! Its just a nice little park.

Opechee Park is a lovely, family friendly park just outside Laconia center. With a sandy beach and play areas for the kids, it provides scenic and pleasant relaxation for both adults and children.

Nice park well maintained multiple softball fields, track, playground, park house with bathrooms with two swimming areas, the cove and the point . The latter, is the swim area that has lifeguards . Also Laconias 4th of July fireworks are launched from the track .

Beautiful beach to bring the family. Its got a playground and in some holidays there are vendors and a live music stage set up!
