(The underground/whiskey barrell)...So this big husky bouncer decided to literally get into guys faces last night and repeatedly be very belligerent while requesting that people leave the bar because it was closing. They had just served us our drinks, cups almost full, I tried to explain this and asked him why was he being so rude?? letting him know that there is a better way to speak to people and he proceeds to yell AT me then threaten to Take the drink out of my hand and stare me down as if he wanted to fight me, as if I wasnt a woman. I watched from across the room as he was getting rude with the friends I invited out, who were actually visiting from another country. Oh how I regret asking them to come out. This guy was looking for drama, hoping for a response so he could be threatening. Well dude, news flash, as a professional woman with a career, I wouldnt dare risk my freedom putting you down like the dog you presented yourself to be, threatening to come take something from my hands as if I was going to just allow you to get into my personal space without a struggle.... BUT what I will do is not spend another penny in there, nor bring anyone else there or tell anyone else about this Underground bar as I had been doing because they just opened under that name (no longer the whiskey barrell) and people I work with were stating that they didnt know about it.. Just last Thursday, my friends and I were the only customers for the night, they were going to close, we decided to stay and make the best of it, play pool and get plenty of drinks so that we could give them some business. We also invited other people to stop by so that they could have more business..... Then this! Both the crowd that this place brings in is sketchy and now the staffers are rude, rowdy and ready to fight women. The rest of the staff literally turned a blind eye to it. No thanks! Our hard earned BLACK dollars dont get spent anywhere where we have to be disrespected. Every other place around here that I frequent knows me to be friendly, fairly quiet and humble for yrs, never had an issue... but I dont tolerate threats and aggression because your ego is bigger than your b@ll$. Still disgusted. Do better!

This musical venue has great music that is sourced locally and has Famous Names regularly. The Bar is well staffed with good natured bartenders looking for a good time to be had by all. Good entertainment value decent prices and a good time is a guarantee. Check it out your be glad you did.

Ive come to this location numerous times, more than I can count and what they say about one bad experience is true. I asked the bartender why he was bending my ID and he took so much offense from one question and threatened not to serve me, which is fine, I dont drink Im the driver. He decided he was so offended from me asking why he was bending IDS. We left because of the arrogance. We went down the street where our table keeps being praised by the DJ. Sorry Whiskey Barrell, I dont settle and unfortunately for you, you lost money tonight and from here on out.

Just so everyone is aware if you post a bad review they report it and have it removed, that to me is wrong everyone should get there opinions even if the owners dont like it people have a right to express what they feel is wrong with this establishment..... witch in my opinion is alot..... So is bar tenders drinking behind the bar being extremely rude and disrespectful to women... bouncers being completely excessive for no reason, bar tenders are over serving patrons.... So go ahead report my review, but just know I have taken a screen shot of it and will post it everywhere!

I was there on a Thursday night. Great DJ (DJ Direct Drive) spinning awesome mixes and a easygoing crowd made for a fun night.
