As a full time homemaker, taking your toddler out everyday is very important. They need to use up all the energy they have so youll get a little peace at home. Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center is like cheap Disneyland for our kids. The Jack and Jill Hill is always my daughters favorite. We ride the train only if the line is not too long. The small houses for children are great too. They get to learn how to play with other kids on their own.
Splash is one of the few pools open for lap swim--a great facility & staff
The food is fantastic! Boysenberry beer is delicious. Homemade fudge. Amazing characters and the fastest rides! We love this place. We always get season tickets and bring our grandchildren! Great family fun.
Been doing water excerise classes since 2010 my granddaughter did mommy& me classes there since then also. Miss not going since covid-19 in March 2020. No idea when we will be able to resume classes for both my granddaughter and myself. Staff are all friendly and most know me by name. Love this place. It’s my 1.5 hr relaxation since I’m a caregiver full time for my husband.
Its a great concept for a hot day, but the sheer amount of people allowed in is astounding. I would have enjoyed the lazy river more if I didnt keep running into people or people running into me. The watersides are fun. The wait for food is horrendous and theres absolutely no outside food allowed in, not even a Powerade. We had to either drink the whole thing right there at bag check, or throw it away.
Love this place is not overcrowded. We got the membership and it was worth every penny. The place is clean and some (not all food)is affordable.hope to come back each year with family
Kids will enjoy this park for some time. They have only two attractions for young kids. Not so worth for the money spent. We can get free parking that is good!!
Fantastic place to swim. Very quiet and friendly staff.
My kids have lots of memories here
Great place
I been member for 3 years the problem last year it was food court sucks and you had no control over people allowed inside ...
Lack in communication and customer service. Booked a birthday party, our food was late and all my pepperoni pizzas had 1 pepperoni in each slice. Im not joking. Worse experience ever, this was my first and last time booking a Birthday party at splash. Such a disappointing place .
I love this this is the best place you could go and get wet and people to see you and fun for all occasional.and. worth the money $20 thats good love it if they will tell me let go to soak city i would said no way splash is best place big and more things and funner 100%
This place is nice but all you need to improve is your staff members being more nicer to the people that comes here and that try to have a good time. And another thing is just make the food a little bit less pricey. Just saying your waterpark is nice just dont be rude or overprice the items. Also for my last comment is the other time i get here there has never been a chance fir the big pool to have public swim, what happened to that?
Pretty good prices and short drive compared to over packed Raging Waters / Soak City.Food was good and affordable, my family and I enjoyed it alot, will return soon!
Super nice and cheap
This is My Heaven right here on earth. So family oriented. One Price, loads of fun. Unfortunately there food concession stand is so unorganized, and over an hours wait for food, and thats after waiting in line just to order it. Otherwise its Great
I love this place I have came here every summer with my grandkids they have lots of fun !
I went once but it was soooooo croweded. The food takes at least an hour of wating for and the water is so dirty. Plus they put some kind of chemical that lightends the color of your clothes. I like it and all but these are some major changes they should make.
Great for all kids. Park is great.Parking is horrible. The lines are long.If you’re hungry or thirsty the line and wait time for food and drinks is 30 minuets to an hour wait time. Ridiculous!Fun time but they could fix a few things to make it more enjoyable.
Ive gone twice, Im 13 and I love it! The first time I went with my cousins and it was a very fun experience. The food lines were a little long, but other than that it was great! The second was for one of my cousins birthday parties. They were allowed to bring food in, so we didnt have to wait in those ridiculously long lines. Everything is awesome(other than the lines for food) so we bought the pass which was only $60! We cant wait to go tomorrow!!!
This place is much fun and the prices are reasonable and different prices for different days though. My family and I had an Amazing amazing great time. The Lazy river is so cool!
An avid morning swimmer focusing on a.m. lap swimming. Usually the inside and outside are maintained. Today was an experience that makes me ask why? Lap swimming pool pH & Chlorine levels were above the normal levels (possibly to accommodate for the influx of usage over the weekend/pool cloudy, paper on the bottom to include cable ties, etc.). Maintenance worker decided to use the leaf blower while swimmers were actively using the pool thus, having to stop and avoid breathing in gas fumes and endure the loud noise. Next issue was finding your personal belongings covered with debris apparently from the leaf blower and the inconciderate maintenance worker. Recommendations...schedule maintenance during closed hours.
This place is awesome! The water park is a lot of fun, they have a lazy river and slides. There is also a playground area for the kids to splash around in. The line to get tickets can take a while, but they offer summer passes which is pretty cool!
My 4 year old is taking swimming lessons here and did last year as well. The instructors are always kind and professional. I feel like you get great lessons at a reasonable price. The pool and surrounding grounds are clean and well maintained.
This is a great option for young families and summer birthday parties. Entry fee was affordable, no long lines and free parking. The slides werent too scary and both main play areas were geared towards young children. The lazy river and 3 bigger slides were manageable too. Plenty of life guards and water was clean. Food line was slow though and they mischarged me.
Splash is a fantastic place that in riches the community specially in the summer months. They provide a safe and well keep environment for all ages. My child attends the Water Polo buddies here
***THIS PLACE WILL LIE TO YOU, TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SELL YOU SOMETHING YOU CANT USE***Wow...thought this place would be cool but they lied about what they were selling us and we wasted over $200 on passes we dont want. We wanted the lap swim and spa and they *assured* us the buccaneer bay passes would allow us to use those at any hours even if the buccaneer bay was closed. We only agreed to buy the passes because we had my fiances kid with us visiting and they said we could take her to the pirate park since she was there and then use the passes for what we wanted- lap swim and spa.It worked for the spa and lap swim 3 nights in a row with no prob- then we went tonight and they said our passes were no good. When we asked for our money back or for them to give us the lap swim/ spa passes like they had sold us, they said they wouldnt do anything. When I asked why it had been working fine the past three nights, we were told well all the cashiers the last three nights were new... I guess the person that sold us to them must have been new too.Even if they were new, we were told that when she scanned our passes, it said in bold letters at the top passes not validI just dont understand how people can lie completely, sell you something that isnt what they are advertising, let you think it is working for 3 nights and then pull the rug out from under you. Then the woman working said that even if the pirate park was open, we still would not be able to use the spa or lap swim with those passes. So $3 per night spa use for 3 days for 2 people= $18....and cost us $207 before taxes. Awesome.THANK YOU LA MIRADA BUCCANEER BAY!YOU GET ONE STAR FOR LYING BECAUSE *THAT* YOU DO VERY WELL.
Its good food but kinda pricey for me
Really enjoyed our visit! Just wish they had a legit baby section/pool. Everything else was awesome! Great food, watchful lifeguards, and great environment.
The security guy in the pool took our baby food and said just come back for it, since no food is allowed. When we came back to get the baby food they said they threw it away. I asked what can I feed the baby and they said they dont know. We end up leaving the resort and look for some food for my 1 yr old baby!
Took all three kids here, I think I loved it more than them. Small but has a good variety of things to do. And the price is just right. I recommend you take the family.
I have been a splash season pass member for 5 years and last year it was horrible. Splash use to be a family water park, it is not. Between water polo competitions and swim competitions the large pool was always closed. The top grass area booked with company events. It was horrible packed but horrible. As it is Splash is not a big water park, now imagine everyone crammed in one side. Unfortunately we paid for 5 season passes and only went 2 to maybe 3 times and left after 2 hours. We use to love it. It was our summer thing, unfortunately not this year.
It was fun. The children love it; however it took me like an hour to get food... take your own food and eat outside of the park.
Great job! Thanks to the city for putting together this event. The swimming presentations were fantastic! Also we appreciate you letting the Gardenhill and St. Paul students perform.
We really loved it here. The lazy river is awesome and so relaxing. We enjoyed the little ones area. There is alot to do for the little ones. In additon, parking is free and there is tons of restaurents around. We drove to the habit and ate there
We have been here. And the kids love it. Good place to go swimming or do the lazy river. Very fun
When I ordered their chicken tenders, they were raw. Many of my friends had consume the chicken and had a stomach ache. Their statement states that they care about our safety and wellbeing, if they really did I wouldnt have ate raw chicken. La Mirada Splash did cook me another batch (more cooked outside than the other batch) but it was still raw! However, I did enjoy the slides and the lazy river. I would like to bring my own food because the prices are really high and for the heath department to check out the food.
We went for a birthday party and the kids had so much fun we plan on coming back soon
We live in La Mirada and have had some great experiences at Splash. But the city is not providing enough resources. I believe they oversell tickets and on a given summer weekend you can find over 5,0000 people in a relatively small area. My daughter just caught a major ear infection. Also, the bathrooms are extremely dirty. I caution others and suggest looking to alternative locations.
A lot of fun for kids. But on Friday got very busy. Take food away from us but we waited in line for a long time to order their very expensive food and took an hour to call us. They told us it would be 20 minutes. Ran out of ketchup and mustard and napkins. Salad and dressing were served warm. Pool looked very muggy at only 1pm still 4 1/2 hours until close.
Clean facility. Request for clean up was met. Great for our large group. Pink Lemonade and grapes was a refreshing side dish with our pizza.
We spent 4-5 hours here with our grandsons at 4 and 10 years old! Very family oriented atmosphere
The pool stuff is GREAT! The food wait was the only draw back... Waited 1 hr 10 min. 40 minutes to order another 30 minutes to get food.My boys did love the lazy river.
Nice place n cheap~~~
The park is great! But dont bother the staff while they are at work. If you dont mind paying for memberships and then being told you cant have your membership cards because they ran out of plastic cards, or being told you dont need wrist bands only to find out after waiting for 40 minutes that you do, then this may be the park for you. Just dont bother the staff while they are at work.
Fun place, but they need to have more things! There is only two things to do at splash besides eat and swim, go down slides and go in the lazy river. I got bored after awhile of being there.
I love this place I get a pass every year
I called and asked if the childrens pool was heated since I was bringing my infant. They said it was, it wasnt, now I have a sick infant. This place must be nice when not congested with so many people! Pictures make this place look huge, its of a decent size.
Lots of fun!
Fun fun fun for the entire family.A couple of is stepped on bees in the grass but other than that we had a blast. Dont walk barefoot on the grass.
The waterpark is very small, there arent that many things to do other than to go in the lazy river or go down the slides (which take forever to go on since its super packed). The food doesnt taste that great and it is like $25 for a large pizza, when I go just go to Pizza Hut. The funnel cakes there dont even have whip cream! its just powdered sugar and strawberries like really dude? cheapest place ever! my advice, bring some whip cream and eat after you leave the water park. dont buy their nasty food or give them more money than they deserve.
Awesome day with the kids!!!! The life jackets could be replaced! Some are pretty worn and the belt clips are missing.
Been with the Armada Swim Club for 12 years. Team Preciado, nice little water park.
We went to the Splash on July 13. I am sad to say they were completely understaffed. We arrived 10 minutes before opening then had to wait 40 minutes to get in because they only had 1 employee working check in. We waited another 20 minutes in the lunch line and again another 30 minutes in line for an ICEE. The park itself is great, I hope these lines were a one time occurrence and not a part of a cost cutting.
Nice place at good price!
This is a great place for kids, yet the customer service lacks here. There are hardly ever any people at the front desk to help you, especially once 4 comes around, I guess they cannot hire people to multitask and scan a card to let people into the park. The eating areas are always dirty, and half the time all the employees look pissed off. I go there for the convenience not the experience.
Really ghetto don’t come here
Love the waterpark if you wanna get away near by other waterparks this is the place to come we loved it fun slides for all kids, my kids loved it defenatly coming back(: summer go getter !!
I had my daughters 5th birthday here. Although there were some bumps in making reservations, the staff was very friendly and made sure everything was corrected. I had the party on the first day they opened (5/21/16) so I was worried things wouldnt work out. But to my surprise everything was perfect. The food was great and everyone was able to eat when they wanted. I had 60 people attend the party. Everyone had an amazing time. For the individuals that didnt show up I was given vouchers. We have since been back twice and will be going again before the season ends.
Splash is a very relaxing water park with so much to choose from I truly enjoyed all the amenities this water park has to offer your entire family will love it .
Splash is not only cheap, it is also very fun!!! You have the option to swim in the pools or jump over to the slides and river for a reasonable price. & I believe the pools are free during the summer.
We had a great time. My 5 year old granddaughter had fun in the kiddie areas and we all enjoyed floating in the lazy pond.
Awesone and clean place. My kids love it!. Very nice splash with order and safety.
Well run facility, GREAT personnel! Smiling, helpful, just what youd expect from a 5 star resort!
Adorable fun. Small park. For $20 is not bad. If you have selfish teenS he or she will complain not mush to do for them. I have kids 16,15,11 they LOVED IT.
Fantastic place to take the kiddos!
This is a very nice place to spend a wonderful family weekend or very good to learn how to swim
Its the perfect spot to beat the heat. Im a big kid so I had a blast... Oh and the kids did too lol! Well be back!
Not going to renew our passes because they let so many people in that it gets jammed packed they should have a limit of how many people they let in instead of over crowding the place where you cant even enjoy it, also alot of the shower heads dont work. so frustrating.!
It is so fun am going AG in Saturday
I go to this waterpark every summer with my uncle his wife and my two cousins and also sometimes my sister its so fun you should go you will love it
Amazing place for $20 clean, near and has a variety of things for the kids only downside is it can get pretty crowded but i went on a friday maybe during the week theres less people. I will be back but staying in the outside pool its free, less crowded wich my kids preferred!
The place is good but theres girl work her name is Vivien she speaks so rude and not friendly at all, she bad if you dont like work with public dont do it stupid little girl.
Reasonable price perfect for toddlers my kids had a blast...bad part about it No outside foodanother thing I had an issue with, I observed when a test was being preformed in the lazy river for the life guards. I was extremly disappointed to see that it took so long for a lifeguard to catch the simulating baby that was drowning in between all the inflatable. I saw many parents letting their kids play alone in the water some parents need to pay a little more attention and so do the lifeguards!
I always have a great time. Family friendly staff is great. They keep it very clearn and safe. Get the passes you can save alot of money that way. Ive got them for the last 3 years and I just love them.
Nice place, would be nicer if they didnt charge a entrance fee for disabled persons.
My families experience there for the 1st time was Sunday 6/26/16. I must say the level of customer service I received was at the highest Ive EVER encountered. From the phone reservation, to check in, food delivery to our area and ontime, in fact a few minutes early and every question I asked any staff memeber ( and I had a lot). I was pleasantly accommodated by a young lady I asked about our cabana. Her exact words were we want you to feel comfortable about your purchase and experience with us. My daughters 5th birthday was a great family experience for all who attended, so much that we plan on returning this afternoon. Thanks Splash you guys are awesome :)
The waterpark is great but we were here for my sons birthday and the girl that checked us in didnt complete our check in so here i am an hour after our reservation time and we have no food. They barely put our order in, the kids are hungry and we have to wait i dont know how long for our food ughhh.
It gets boring fast especially for my 14 and 10 year olds I do not reckoned this for teenagers. Also the Food was okay and it took about 45 minutes just to get a 4 piece Pizza without drinks the only thing We liked was the blue slide and the Lazy river, but we went home after an hour and a half.
We have season tickets had a blast my grandkids loved it highly do you recommend for family and kids
My daughters school took her oneday and she loved it....Its great for your kids
First time taking the family last year - 2 times - second time for daughter 4th birthday party - had a great time.
Nice! My family had a good time there. We got there when it opened and we left there around 3pm. We will go again next summer.
Today was my first time here and idk if i will ever go back because the experience was so bad. Thomas was a jerk and instead of getting a supervisor about my concern he says next so he can help the next person in line..however chelsea seemed to fix the miscommunication i had received over the phone..to finish the day there we had booked a birthday party and splash staff messed up our reservations after everything was fixed our party finally got started at 445pm which gave us less than a hour to eat, serve cake, and open presents...after requesting a refund for all the headache they caused they said no but we can give u a pretzel...yea no thanks...this place is very unorganized from the line in the front to the lockers and reserved parties...other than that the water slides are fun but that doesnt out weigh the bad experience!!
Awesome water park! Like a mini ranging waters but with half the crowd.
I had my sons 10th birthday party here and everyone loved it ! I would totally recommend it
No pictures! Sorry! But my 8 years old and my 16 month old son had a blast. The lazy river was relaxing. The toddler area, my son had an amazing time. They had a couple water tables and legos for the little ones to plah with.. My 8 year old daughter loved the water slide. Also, the food a was delicious. We had 2 cheeseburgers with fries, funnel cake with strawberries on top. Food was excellent. Fries were great. I think they cut thier own potataes for fries. The only problem was that the food order line took too long. Also I recommend another point of service outside to alleviate the long line.
Not over priced, nor is it too over crowded... just enough for the kids to get their p
It was ok until you get thirsty or hungry so pretty much you have fun for about 2 hrs until your kid gets hungry then you pretty much have to wait for 1 entree of corndog bites and 3 sodas. The servers are unexperienced at anything. But the water is kids get tired of swimming and parents get tired of waiting
You know the place is awesome, so awesome its always crowded.
Great for a seven year old. Most kids need close supervision.
Great place for kids and adults. I loved it.
Good place to bring the kids. Not so much for adults.
Its a nice little water park and very convenient because its close to home. It can get really packed on the weekends, but Ive usually been able to find seating somewhere within the park. There is a small play area for toddlers, a lazy river, 3 slides and a large pool (which is broken up into lanes with ropes). Parking is free, which is a plus, and lockers can be rented for $5 with all-day in/out access. The locker rooms are fairly large, although I wish they would have used flooring that is not smooth tile. The floors are soaking wet, which is to be expected at a water park, and the tile floor becomes extremely slick. I enjoy the music they play throughout the park, but they could stand to turn it down a few decibels. My biggest complaint with this place is the no outside food policy. I wouldnt mind this policy if they had a variety of healthy options inside, but they dont. They offer a chicken or salmon salad and a salmon burger. The chicken and salmon are precooked, gross and rubbery. All other food choices consist of burgers, hot dogs, pizza, funnel cake, soda, chips, or fries. Take one look around the park and I challenge you to find more than 5-10 people that are not contributing to the obesity statistics in this country. I tried bringing in a bag of yogurt, almonds, and flavored water, but I was not allowed to bring them in. They said I could keep the bag in a locker and eat my snacks at the locker, but I could not bring the snacks into the Buccaneer Bay area. So they basically got me to pay $5 to keep my healthy snacks within reach, but I still had to walk halfway across the park to get to them when I wanted to munch on something. I was welcome to fill my piehole with the junk food made available there, but not the healthy snacks I brought. I love how they promote exercise by offering swim lessons here, but then they make it virtually impossible to maintain a healthy lifestyle while using the facilities. Not cool. I was not aware of this policy when I bought my annual pass, so Im stuck with it this year, but I will not be buying any more passes unless the food policy is improved.
I loved this place my first time here but me and my daughters had a wonderful time
