We enjoyed ourselves. My daughter loved the water slides. I saw a lifeguard jump in when he thought a little girl was drowning. I don’t think she actually was but I appreciate them being on top of things. They are also pretty good at helping parents find their kids when they disappear which seems to happen often because there is an upstairs and a downstairs and a lot of places to hide. The bartenders were very kind too and the food was good for a pool!I gave 3 stars instead of 5 for 2 reasons. First, they reallllly need more tubes to ride on for the lazy river. They don’t have enough which causes people to hold onto the tubes up at their chairs instead of putting them back for others to use who are actually standing there forever waiting. The employees who work there saw the people just sitting on their chairs sunbathing with 7 tubes next to them for a few hours not using them and didn’t say anything. Second, the employees don’t all go by the same rules. One for example, I understand not being able to have a drink in your hand while in the pool. That’s fine. But some employees say it’s fine to stand like 4 feet from the pool with a drink in your hand talking to your family, but then other employees give you a public talking to about it. Another issue we had is with height. My daughter is definitely tall enough to ride the big slides because she’s 53 inches tall. Some employees would say yes definitely but then others would try to say she wasn’t tall enough even though she clearly came up to the right spot on the stick they were holding. A little consistency would have helpedake the day more enjoyable.Overall 3-4 stars though. It was overall a mostly enjoyable day.

Nice little park, 3 medium size slides for kids and adults. Lots to do for kids. Lazy river was very enjoyable. Bars are nice and have friendly staff. Lifeguards are very helpful and attentive. It’s nothing huge but for an on-site water park it does the job well.

It is a really fun simple waterpark for people of all ages. My little one enjoyed the splash pad and lazy river. I really liked that they are checking everyones temperature before granting admission during the covid19 pandemic.

It was a great get away from the normal life of hustle bustle ... much needed vacation after a 6 month quarantine from any traveling for our family!!

It was a great place very pleasing nice good time to have fun.The hotel is very nice, the views,and bathroom.The hotel has a moive theater, fun golf course, and paddling around.I would recomend this place.

This place is so much fun for the the whole family! I’ve only ever been here with my wife’s family which own a timeshare here. So, I’m not sure how much it costs but I’m sure it’s not cheap.

Check prices and entry requirements prior to visiting. If you are staying at the resort, this water park is a high paced high energy alternative to the more relaxed pools nearby. A large splash pad (cool water) with play structure and water cannons, combined with a lazy river (warm water) along with 3 water slide entrances are situated on the 2nd level. On the first level there is a large pool with the landings of the water slides, along with food and drink options. My kids had an absolute blast playing here. If you have little ones that like to run around, you will need to keep tabs on them because this is a large place and little kids can get away from you rather quickly with all the visual obstructions. On cooler days the splash pads colder water can be a bone chilling experience. Prices for mixed drinks and beer are rather high, so if you are on a budget, I would advise against planning on drinking here.

Horrible!! Overcrowded and not worth the money.. get there early and the little ones can have fun at shipwreck park..poor supervision..its a shame really!!

The waterpark was a lot of fun. Although this is NOT OPEN to the public. You must stay on site even though the sign says it. This means if you stay on site to do the presentation, but say no to timeshare. You pay General admission price. I liked that there were 2 floors. 1with pool and 2nd with lazy river and slides. I did not like that theres only one entrance. 1st floor only.

My 3 year old got lost in the water park today. Right before a storm came in. Me and three other adult were searching for him asking and begging the life guards to help. Life guards sat around talking at the main gate and would not even put a intercom Page out and let anyone know to look. I had a broken leg and covered the entire park by my self. Seeing no life guards helping or even looking for him. Instead some grown man found him and walked him to the front office of the hotel and staff let him leave the water park with my kid. I’m thankful for his kind heart to help but the situation could have been made worse if he would have kidnapped my son. The staff was under qualified and non responsive to a very dangerous situation. I would not take any kids to this place. After talking with management was informed this is going to be used as a training lesson. Thanks I’m glad to know my son being lost and possibly drowned is a training lesson. No that was not the answer we were looking for.

If you are going to a resort for relaxation-THIS PLACE IS NOT IT.If I could give this negative star I would! I wasnt even staying there, My friend was, as we were going there to hang out at the mini water park. Just driving into the resort was TERRIBLE!. I have lived in FL all my life and have been to plenty resorts over a holiday weekend & I have NEVER seen it this crazy and unorganized. Our free breakfast was awful. Which shocks me considering this is a resort. Secondly, you get a complimentary ride to where ever you need to go since the resort is so big; we called an HOUR ahead of time & they never showed up and when we called they said it would be another 20 mins; mind you we had a apt at the main lobby for a presentation. We decided to drive up but their was NO PARKING ANYWHERE and it was blazing hot outside to be walking so far. Once we did get in however, it was a MAD HOUSE. NO PLACE TO SIT!. Also, once we were able to FINALLY get to the water park, of course-NO PLACE TO SIT. The lazy river is narrow and just not big enough so their was no room. Im sure it was great for business but its was OVER CROWDED! I wasnt even staying there and it was terrible. Of course my friend HATED IT and told them herself she will never be staying there again.

This isnt a place to relax, this is a place to enjoy family time in the water. Tons of swimming space and slides just next to your room. Great thing to do when youre not visiting an amusement park but still have kiddos wanting to get out of the room.

Why do you have this park listed online as an open water park to the public when it’s not?! Take it down so people don’t waste their time trying to go to a water park that is only for owners of this property! False advertisement!

Ive been an owner since 1996 and this is most horrible stay so far that we have had. This resort is going downhill. We spent the first 2 days reporting multiple issues. The 2 bedroom unit we were given was filthy. There was months of dirt build up throughout the unit. Very disgusting. After 2 days of complaining and being told that there were no other units available my husband told the front desk we were calling the health department. Miraculously, a unit became available. Im very disappointed in the way we were treated, especially being an owner and paying maintenance and taxes on this timeshare for 23 years.

The children had lots of fun there. It was really nice. We all had a lot of fun. Everyone was very nice to us.

Great place for 30th Wedding Anniversary!

Very poor treatment of guests. I purchased a voucher at the desk in the lobby as an off-week owner, and the ticket vendor outside said the voucher is invalid. Such a hassle, apparently the vouchers are not valid until an hour after the park opens. Very disappointing after waiting 15 minutes in the hot sun to get in. Would not recommend.

Looked this place up on google map, Drove 35 minutes today to take my kids (5 people total were going) . We get to the gate to be told we wasnt allowed to go here because we were not guests there. Which was fine but I saw it no where online not on google map info posted that non guests werent allowed. Looks like a fun place though.

HORRIBLE Stay, Had ants, air conditioner was broken (85 degrees), did not send a technician until I posted a bad review from my feedback and that was a 6 pm the night before I was leaving. Also the housekeeping staff left our room door wide open with all of our personal belongings. The staff here are very uncaring!! You can never reach the front desk, if you want them, you have to walk all the way up there to talk to them. Our room was not cleaned and when we called they said we dont clean everyday. What hotel does that and this is a RESORT! Arent we on vacation? We had to wash our dishes, get more towels, soap and shampoo. I have stayed at many Westgate Resorts, this is by far the worst! The only few words in their vocabulary is Im sorry! Yeah, well me too, because I will never stay there again and I will tell everyone that I come in contact with to not stay there including Facebook and every social media that I can. It was an expensive stay and I believe when things are not right, people should compensate!

Best place to go with kids but a little expensive, but its worth it!

Shipwreck Island is definitely a great place for the family. The slides can be used by kids ages 4+ depending of height. As owner at the Villa, I would love for them to give the option of say... 3-4 free guests allowed, however Im well aware everything has costs and if youre not an owner... you need to pay. Maybe reduce price? Anyway, overall four stars for price and not enough sitting arrangement for the amount of visitors.

Good enough water park for 5, 7, and 9 year olds. U can order your food and drinks and relax while they play.

No lockers to store items in. The park is good for smaller kids not much fun for teens and adults. The hours of operation are short. Even with the short hours it took them awhile to get all parts of the park open.

Fun slides . Great kids wet play area . Big pool. Love the lasy river . Two nice tiki bars . And a nice ice cream shop . Lots of shade . Wish they had longer hours . And some times for just adults . Would go back .

Third time visiting this week and every time it has been over crowded. No chairs left at all. Had to pull out towel and sit on ground. Im sure the kids had a better time but for me, I sat watching our personal things to make sure it were safe.

Fun family day. Drinks at the bar are a bit pricey. Theres two levels to the water park with a few water slides. A great way to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

This is a 2 level water park located on site. It has tubes and slides for all ages as well as a lazy river. My whole family had such a great time!

Beautiful place but bring your check book

Had to complain to get put inbthe room type that was reserved. Once that occurred, it was a great time for the family!

We got to use this park free as guests at Westgate but I wouldnt have been very happy had I paid. Its great for kids who can swim and use slides but next to nothing to do for adults and very young children. The staff were very rude and you can use your own floatation devices, (they had one device in the whole park for babies under 30lbs) in the pool or the lazy river (theirs are two big for babies and the river is crowded). There are some small splash pads but for babies who dont like water splashing on their heads its not much fun. They wouldnt even let me take my baby down the baby slides.

Kids had a lot of fun here favorite part was The Lazy River it just gets very crowded not a lot for the adults to do

My family loves Ship Wreck Island. It was absolutely great in 2015 but this year (2016) not as much. The water park closes earlier now (7pm) and there was a long line/wait to get in the lazy river due to the newly enforced rule that everyone has to have a tube to get in, yet there werent many tubes to spare. You had to wait in line, in the hot sun, until someone decided to get out the river and give up the tube. These things caused my rating to change lower. The food is pretty good but I truly missed the chicken quesadilla they had on the menu last year, they were great.

Great water park for adults & kids -something for everyone! It is not included in your stay with the resort unless your an owner, but they will discount for active duty military service members.

Property well kept, room clean, good location for family/kids. Frequent problems with multiple key card, problematic with children. But good time had by all.

Pretty awesome smaller water park. 2 levels plus a lazy river. Reasonably priced. My 5 year old went down the big slides no less than a gazzilion times. Food was a little pricey but good. Awesome for my kids age 2 and 5.

Check in took 30 minutes. Nothing is included. You will pay extra for everything. Waterpark is $20 per person which is expensive for a family staying longer than 1 day. It would be cheaper to just buy an annual waterpark pass from Disney. The only way to receive any kind of discount would be to spend half your day listening to their timeshare sales pitch. Other than the additional activity fees room was okay. Ours was a studio with double beds which was perfect for 2 days. Onsite pizza was delicious. Game room was cool.

Owners here for 10 years and every year it gets worse. 3rd year in a row that villa wasnt ready, second year that they had to give us another room when we have deed to fixed week. Room infected with roaches, furniture broken, and room filthy. Paid more than 21k to purchase and 900 a year in maintenance and taxes. Westgate doesnt hold up to their end of the deed and continuously try to get us to upgrade for even more money. Stay away from this place. This place is a total rip off.

We are owners here and went to the water park for the first time.....we love it. Out grandson has had a blast! Another great perk for coming here!!! Its beautifully done!

So far having a blast plan on doing Shipwreck Island tomorrow but from our first few days here its been nothing but top notch service. Our bellman Donovan from Miami was awesome and always says hi and goes out of his way to make sure we are having a great time.

The rooms are dated, unclean, and the service is subpar. This by far is the worst experience I have ever had staying on a resort! I do not recommend this place the water park is just Ok! Save ur money go somewhere with better accommodations and quality rooms.

I am very disappointed in Westgate Town Center. My son had a traumatic accident at the water park while sliding on The Plunge water slide and Westgate Town Center refused to pay for my son medical expenses and did not call 911 when my son requested them to call while he waited for security to come with blood gushing out his mouth. I had to drive my son to the emergency room to receive emergency care. I reported the incident to Westgate. They offered no remorse for my son who had to have emergency oral surgery due to his teeth being knocked out his mouth and a fractured maxillary bone while sliding on the water slide. They stated it was my son fault and they will not pay for his medical expenses. I am an owner and this is the worst treatment I have ever received at the resort. The incident occurred on Saturday, November 28th and my son continues to be in constant pain and requires extensive repair of his teeth. I have contacted the Florida Department of Consumer Services and Fair rides.

Havent been there yet we plan on coming down in 2016 for our family vacation .we have only heard only good thinds about the water park cant wait

Vey nicely done. Great concept. Unfortunately we were stormed out as soon as we arrived. Needless to say they dont offer refunds or rainchecks. Sad, as I paid for 6 people to enter, two of which dont swim and still got the shaft. I realize they cant control the weather but even a partial refund????

Very rude! They threw a paper at me when I refused to sign up for something. Very unhappy here ! Would never become an owner or renter at this place with rude and ignorant people.

It was horrible My Room was nasty I had a roaches in my Room and ants its took me 2 hours to get sheets for the pullout bed.

This is the best Waterpark ever and in the lazy river it allowed me to swim in it but you can ride or swim in it and it has great waterslides I was there in March 2016 in 90 degree weather It was great and it also had elevators
