Great outdoor space for the whole family. Plenty of exhibits and trails to satisfy everyone. Some exhibits closed due to covid, so check the Web site. The barge is running with limited capacity so stop by the office as soon as you get there to reserve a spot. There is a Pavillion to rent for large gatherings.

Not a lot of animals out to be seen but the walk was lovely and views are nice.

Amazingly beautiful and peaceful place to be with family and friends. National Park always clean with trash cans placed for convenience so no reason for you to go throwing it down but its safe environment and big so usually not crowded. Good place to have a kids b-day party

Great place for kids. Educational exhibits, animals, and planetarium are very nice. The Lakeside trail and fire tower offer beautiful views. Sad about the otters passing away.

A very beautiful place to be and I do have pictures hanging in my home of this place actually it has a very awesome damn there there is several wonderful areas to go walking at you have plenty a ground to cover their there is animals are there is otters there is dear there is also an albino deer there is wolves raccoons and Eagle a hawk owls barn owls and there is also a reptile exhibit then you also inside have the terrarium and you also have place to where you can zipline through Bays Mountain and they also have stargazing when the biggest stargazing facilities you could imagine and they also have Bobcats and inside they have a little play area downstairs for the kids where the rest area is so while your partner or your company is using the restroom you are able to let the kids play they also have shows for Aquatics and also just blow Bays Mountain you have the Eastman cabins which has a massive playground area plus Creeks for you to play and with kids looking for crawdads also they have a camping site and if you are Eastman and put you are able to have parties Reserve reserved for free

I love this place they have a boat ride that you can take that give a military discount they also have an obstacle course next to their facilities which of course is extra and separated from the mountains recreation there are plenty of animals to seethey have a full video can that you can pull up on the internet and watch the wolvesthat have gift shops there snacks water fountain drinks and their bathroom was always playingalso they have an observation telescope that you can go for different things at different times for this exploring the sky and the sun they have exhibits of animals and insects etc. And a viewing an inside in door observatory that is educated by staff prior to the actual viewing they have waterfalls a lake and also mountain biking routes many trails with places for you to sit along the way waterfall and an abundant plant and animal life

Always a nice place to have a family get together. Plenty of things to do for the young to the old. Have been coming here for as long as I can remember. I would say how long that is but I dont know how long the shelters have been there but I cant remember them not being there. Lots of good memories and hopefully many more lie ahead.

Eastman Cabins at Bays Mountain hosts the annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Christmas party and they do amazing work in the community! The facilities are top notch! The park has outdoor bathroom facilities and a basketball court as well as swings and a playground area.

Bays mountain is a great place to go that is just outside city limits. It feels as though you are farther away from civilization than you really are.

Fun park to visit. Local wildlife on display. They also have a planetarium. Plenty of trails for hiking and bikes.
