Captain Tom was great! We were worried about the weather but ended up with sunshine. When we arrived he told us it was too rough to go out on the Atlantic side, and that we needed to stay in more protected waters. I was sad at first, not knowing what that meant, but wow, it was still amazing! We basically had everything to ourselves...our own private beach for the morning. He even taught us how to snorkel. We saw all kinds of fish, lobsters, stingrays, and even a sea turtle. All the reviews are right when they say what a great guy he is. We had a blast and we will definitely being doing this again when we return.

Last week (12/30/19) My husband and I and friends enjoyed our trip on the Easy Day with Capt. Tom so much that we scheduled a second during our week in Key West.It was no surprise as we have been going out on this charter for 19 years. The fishing was outstanding owed much to Capt. Tom’s expertise. The boat was spotless as usual. Tom has a great personality and a wealth of stories to keep everyone entertained. We highly recommend chartering the Easy Day.

This was hands down the best charter I have ever been on. Captain Tom was great to work with, very attentive and informative, answering all of our questions and ensuring that we would get what we wanted from our day. He watched the weather to be sure our day on the water was safe and enjoyable, and was it ever! Captain Wade was a phenomenal Captain. He took us to amazing snorkeling spots, and breathtaking sandbars. His knowledge of the area and the ocean was our favorite part of the trip! We learned so much, and got to see so many different parts of the ocean, we couldn’t have asked for a better captain or company to work with! We will definitely be chartering with Easy Day Charters again!

We were in town for my 6oth Birthday Celebration with Family & Friends. I contacted Easy Day Charters because they were highly recommended by another Professional Guide we had fished with on Lake Okeechobee. Capt. Thom is professional, organized and provided an amazing day out on the water for our group. It could not have been more perfect. We will be contacting him when we visit Key West again. Captain Tom is the real deal! We’ve taken many boat trips in the Keys and never been wowed by the experience. There a plenty of operators here who will take your money, but they don’t really care about the experience. They are for tourists and have preplanned destinations and preplanned scripts. Taking a trip with Captain Tom is like going for a ride with a friend who knows the waters and wants you to have a good time. He genuinely cares about what you want from your trip, and will plan accordingly. We’ll never call anyone else again when visiting the Keys...

Just wanted to give a plug in for Captain Tom. Wife and I were tired of being locked in due to Corona. We took a long drive down to the Keys which had just opened up. We wanted to snorkel, but didnt want to do a large group. My wife found Easy Day Charters and we called. Captain Tom got back to us and we were set to go in a couple of hours. Captain Tom was easy to get to and had his boat ready for whatever we needed. We told him that we wanted to snorkel and hang out a bit. He took just the 2 of us out on his nice center console boat, and showed us things as we went to the snorkel position. Captain Tom told us exactly where to snorkel and what we would see. This was the best snorkeling ever, not crowded probably because of Covid-19, but we saw tons of sting rays, lobsters, Tarpon, Barracuda and other beautiful fish. Even saw a couple of big nurse sharks. Captain Tom then took us to a beautiful sand bar that we were completely alone and able to have a couple adult beverages. Captain Tom has been doing this since 1975 and was very knowledgeable and a great host. He even told us some stories of the old days and hanging out with Jimmy Buffet. I dont usually write long reviews, but this was one of the best times that my wife and I have ever had. If you want to experience a great time on the water, Call Easy Day Charters. We had a fabulous day with Captain Tom. Out group of four just wanted to spend some time on the water Easy Day Charters was just the ticket for this group. He made a few recommendations but let us choose what we wanted to do for the day. He took us out on calm waters, skillfully navigated the shallows and took us out of the bay into the Atlantic for some pretty prosperous fishing. I must also add he was very patient with some very unskilled fishers. The other thing about Captain Tom being a native, he had some great recommendations for us to fill out the rest stay.

We had a great time on the boat with Tom! We snorkeled on the Gulf side and went to a sandbar. It was amazing. Highly recommend this company. It was so nice to have the boat for just our group, too. I would never do it any other way. We may go again for a sunset cruise before our trip ends!

We had an amazing day with Captain Tom. We fished, swam and had beach time on a quiet remote island. Captain Tom had great knowledge of the area and found us the best places to go. The boat itself was in excellent condition and very well maintained with everything you need for a day on the water. I highly recommend Easy Day Charters.

Hands down the best day of our trip. We kept it simple (as the winds weren’t exactly cooperating) and it was still fantastic. I highly recommend Captain Tom.

The best! We were concerned about having a 3 year old with us who had never been on a boat. Tom took us to some cool areas to fish and to explore. Shallow spots for the toddler and a great spot to snorkel for mom and dad to take turns. We saw beautiful sting rays, nerf shark and beautiful fish! Our son really didn’t know how to fish but Tom totally interacted with him and let him try. Our toddler was able to catch a bunch of yellow tail snapper and thought it was the best thing ever. I would totally recommend Captain Tom if you’re looking to just chill or have littles. No trophy fish here, just the chill and adventure! Brian, Jennifer and Eli!

I really liked our guide he was specially keeping an I on me. Because I was getting in the troubled waters he kept an eye on me. Made sure I did not drown he was also through the he explained the safety issues and was knowledgeable in human dealings. Our trip was cut short because of an eminent danger black clouds were fast approaching. At which point he asked us to get in boat and hurried us to safety. To our much relief we were at safety Thanks to captain Wade. So our trip was 2 and half hours which is 60 percent of our trip. the discounts returned was only 20 percent. We did get to see some sting rays though so a big Thanks to Captain Wade!

Our family of 4 that included 2 boys had two unbelievably great days out on the water with Captain Tom! He took us to reefs and sandbars in the Gulf, Florida Bay and the Atlantic! Each place was unique and beautiful! We saw amazing colorful fish, huge sting rays, starfish and beautiful clear aqua blue waters! He made those 2 days the best of our vacation by making sure we were getting a variety of what we wanted to see. Thank you Captain Tom for MAKING our vacation so memorable! We will see you again!

We went to Key West for a couple of days with the family- 4 adults and a 2 year old. Tom was wonderful!! Very accommodating to our toddler as well as experienced and knowledgeable about all the great places to go. He took us to 2 great snorkeling spots where we saw a variety of fish and 14 mantarays!! He made us feel comfortable as if he were part of the family. Next time we go to Key West -I am definitely calling him again. The whole day was unforgettable thanks to Tom.

Our concierge from the Ocean Key rec Thom and his boat. We booked a 4 hour trip ($600). The plan was to fish, snorkel and maybe hang out at a beach on an island. Thom met us promptly and was ready to roll on time. The boat is a 25 foot Tritonin superb condition and immaculately clean. We decided to fish first and headed to a private spot about 10 miles from his slip. The boat is steady and fast. He left the bimini up the entire time to shade the mrs. from the sun. Upon arriving at fishing spot we dropped anchor. Thom set up a chum line and prepared the bait and rods (relatively light). We immediately began to catch yellow tails and blue bombers. Also caught few other fish (forgot their name). We noticed a barracuda streaming through the water and changed lines to try and catch it. Thom was patient and we finally hooked it...an amazing catch, probably 3/12 ft in length. By now 3 hours had passed and we decided to pass on the snorkel and beach trip, the fishing was amazing and enough.I give Thom and his boat my very highest recommendation. Ive fished all over east and west coasts and have yet to fish with a better captain and boat. Thom is easy going, experienced (lived in keys most of his life fishing-Id say he is early 50s) extremely organized and a fun guy. Youll have a fabulous experience with him, well worth the cost.
