Had a fabulous time - highly recommend the 30min doors off flight. Really worth the money if you are in New York for a few days. Views are genuinely epic. Staff are very friendly and helpful, in our group there were a couple of people who werent so confident flying, staff were very kind and reassuring. Only down side is it will take a sizable chunk of time out of your day. There was a mix up with my flight, after arriving at 11am at the studio, I finally arrived back in Manhattan at 4:30pm after the 30min flight so do plan your time well.

What an amazing experience!!! I surprised my significant other with a helicopter ride for their birthday. It was our first time, and we loved every minute!!! If you are looking for an unforgettable experience this is it!!! Also, I can’t forget to mention how great the customer service was. Danny was the cherry on top! He made this experience excellent and easy. Thanks so much for making this birthday so special for the both of us.

Where do I start? From booking my experience/flight to confirming and asking some tech questions to the familiarization and finally the 30+ minute flight over NYC. It was all incredible! Everybody at FlyNYON was great. They really go out of their way to make sure you have a very nice experience. Even the pilot will come up to you and ask you if there was any spots that you wanted have extra attention at. Keep up the great work FlyNYON.

Because of Covid-19 we could not fly with them. My low rating is because they keep charging my credit card every month, even after their confirmation that they would stop. Finally I had to change change credit card. Dont trust them with your money.

Update: After hearing about my experience Gary promptly contacted me and booked me on another flight that allowed me to experience the full FlyNYon experience which I got to say was amazing as Id thought it would be. The workers still bubbly and making jokes completes the package for a guaranteed good time.Took the doors open for the legs out experience. Headphones didnt work so we couldnt hear when the pilot said when it was okay to do so. Just a quiet helicopter ride

If I were to describe my Flynyon experience it would be exhilarating. I have contemplated this for just about a year and decided to pull the trigger. The whole booking process was very easy. Upon arrival at the NJ hanger, I was greeted by a passionate and classy staff (Erika, Jordan, and Joe) whom made my first experience exceptional. The safety briefing was very thorough, which removed any kind of doubt about flying in a helicopter for the first time, with the doors open mind you.We then met our pilot Christi whom reviewed our itinerary and any kind of safety concerns. Just like many of the reviews out there said, the pilots are geared towards photographers and she took care of our whole group. Christi communicated throughout the flight about the maneuvers and angles she was striving for. I opted for the 15 minute Classic flight, which offered us a few rounds over and around the World Trade Center before returning (the itinerary is agreed amongst the group you fly with.)I originally had intentions of using my telephoto 100-400 Canon lens, but opted to use my 16-35 wide angle instead. Luckily I made that change because the downward force from the props and wind made it a real challenge to photograph.In conclusion, they have made me into a returning customer and I already bought a 30 minute flight before I left for next time. Whether youre someone using a cellphone or a serious photographer, have no second questions about it. Flynyon is the real deal.

At least the flight was nice, but we couldn’t enjoy the experience because of the unorganized staff...1) Upgrade promises: We were very excited because we got were offered an upgrade (without doors for 50$ per person), accepted, paid, and got prepared for the harness. Shortly after, they told us that they can’t offer the upgrade because of the helicopter model (shouldn’t you know that before?).2) Waiting Times: We were the first of our group there and were told we are only 4. Suddenly there were after 30 min 2 others. Unfortunately another couple went into our group and substituted us, so that we had to wait a lot longer for a later flight (but they didn’t tell us, only when the group was already gone). We were told the whole time “it takes only 5min”.3) Processes: We didn’t have the feeling that employees took real care of us. Examples: Security video was finished, our guy was not coming but the video was continuing in a loop. As a result we watched the video 2,5 times. After a while he came. The guy told us also how our route will be which was completely different to the route we flew. Lady called our names more than 5 times during 3 hours and still didn’t remember us.4) Communications: Upfront we were asking if individual flights are possible. The lady told us that the sales team will contact us asap, because she is not responsible for that. They never did.Thanks for messing up the present.

I chartered through a third party who was very late. Not their fault completely but should be more responsible on their partnerships. I would go through nyonair next time. The helicopter ride was great.

Enjoyed the experience so much! There is a lot of waiting around though before the ride. Also, the staff often would waste time joking around with each other then getting to the point.

Pilot Chris Mcdonald was awesome! Facility staff were very friendly. Manager Dan was very helpful. Staff who fitted our harnesses were very informative Adam & Connor. See you guys on the next one.

Great service, friendly people

Our son bought us 2 tickets for Christmas 2018 when we said we were travelling to New York. We paid for the shuttle from NYC and arrived in drizzly weather. After 90 minutes of safety prep we were told the day was cancelled due to weather. We were very disappointed but understood the decision. Our problem is we are from Australia and cant get a refund. We are 24 hours each way flying time from NYC. Our son did not know to get the insurance for the tickets. We have contacted Nyonair but they told us they will only offer us a 12 month time limit to use the tickets. We would haved hoped there is compassionate grounds where some sort of refund could be paid. Thank you. Gabriel Wickert from Australia.

Not even sure what should I say about this place. They placed me in the middle sit, stating that we are here for City view experience only. Well guess what, I havent seen anything because of the people around me. I keep quiet about my leg which I couldnt step on because it was very tight in the middle. So if you are looking for horrible experience with the open door flight, please be my guest and use their service.

I recommend this as a really cool way to experience NYC. One caveat: Do not pay extra for any kind of photo package. You can take all pictures and video you want with your phone or personal camera and the photo packages they offer are not any higher quality. I purchased the video package and received video of the wrong people several times before finally getting a refund. After seeing the mediocre footage of the other groups, I’m much happier to have my money back.

I never do reviews but FLYNYON is a truly amazing experience. My girlfriend surprised me with a door off helicopter ride over Manhattan and it was great. I grew up on Long Island and worked in NYC but to see this city from the air I could not say enough. Everyone was friendly and helpful and their customer service is above the best. Thanks flynyon for making my 27th birthday something special.

Horrible customer service. If you run into any errors or complications, don’t expect their Customer Relations to be any help. I specifically was in contact with Jalissa, who was very poor at accommodating.

It was a spectacular evening flying with FLYNYON. I have lived in NY my entire life and never have I seen NY from the #FLYNYONPerspective. The customer service team was enthusiastic and presented the safety briefing in a professional manner. Our flight left on time, had great music while in-flight and was overall the most fun experience I have shared in NYC. Our pilot, Gregory (if I remember correctly) was professional, charismatic, made the experience even more memorable, and I am grateful for having him as our pilot that evening. I got picked up from the NYON studio in west village by the shuttle (much better option than trying to navigate to Kearny myself). Upon arriving to the terminal in Kearny I got checked in and weighed. I then moved into a briefing room and watched a safety video and then realized I wanted to go doors off. The thought is scary online but when I got there I realized it would be a thrill. I upgraded to a doors off and got harnessed and arrived at the Heliport. Once we took off I could immediately see NYC, the night was clear and we quickly got to Manhattan. Going over Central Park was amazing and I loved seeing the bridges. If I were you, I would plan on booking your seat now. Thank you NYON for the best experience of my life
