A little Museum with a lot of Katy History. Dont miss the tour the old houses. I think they are open every 2nd weekend of each month. If you are new to the area it is a great place to know more about Katy History.

Small Museum. Admission is free. The museum has exhibits about the history of Katy, which was incorporated in 1945. The main highlight is the Old vehicles, farming equipments and artifacts from Katy’s agricultural and pioneering history. It also has a new exhibit focusing on the Katy Volunteer Fire Department, which was established in 1947.Location has a dedicated parking area. Open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Thursday-Sunday.

This place is TERRIBLE!!! No mention or acknowledgement of the enslaved people who actually built the city of Katy, Waller County or Fort Bend county. Nothing to see here.

Im giving this museum a low rating because of the employee we met during our visit on November 25, 2018 between 4.35pm and 4.55pm.We arrived at the museum around 4.35pm and the attendant did not even respond to our greeting instead he gave us this look of disgust and turned his face right back to his computer. We gave ourselves a short tour around the museum and as we approached the door to exit, he got up and walked briskly into the inner rooms as if to go inspect the museum before we left.If he gets to read this review, I hope he deals with the personal issues he has inside. Its definitely a sad thing for you to carry on with life being angry at others because they differ slightly from you. If you chose to be an attendant at a museum the least quality you should display(meaning if you have to fake it...you fake it) is courtesy.
