Always enjoy going to Ceramics by Tess. Ive gone several times with family, friends, and even date nights with my husband! I also threw my sister her bridal shower in the party room and got to work with the glass to make earrings and charms. Ms. Tess and her son are always willing to help and they treat everyone like family.

A little on the pricey side. But the kids had a lot of fun!

Has a great time with my kids and friends there. They do not charge a paint/glaze fee. You only pay for the ceramic piece you will paint. Lots of different options, averaging $20-$40/each. Staff was very friendly. I recommend!

Went here for pottery painting, lovedddd it ! Very friendly and helpful staff. Unlimited paints...they have a board which shows how the colours will look after being glazed (if u choose that kind of paint) or they have the instant drying paints too. Wide wide of pottery to choose from and large seating area. I used a Groupon which made it cheaper but even at full price its worth the fun :)Oh also, they have stencils too to help create ur designs !

WOW,,, owner and staff are so cool...They supply paint and brushes!!No time limit on painting and you can go back to finish if you want to..Very relaxed atmosphere.... And, they give GREAT advice on how to use the brushes to apply different techniques.....SO FUN!! Im the dad bringing the kids and its worth it.And Tess is actually there most of the time .. The owner cares!!!

Young lady helping the children was rude and grumpy, definitely not a kid friendly hostess.The two small pieces the children painted in addition to their free puecewere expensive.. I purchased additional pieces and should have been told the children would be given a $5 coupon for an extra piece good for a month. I could have used it on the pieces I purchased then as we live an hour away and will not be going back. Also, when I paid for the additional pieces j was shown the amt expected for a tio. That in Itself shocked me as the only person who even helped me was the one I asked about the price of the pieces I did buy . My last complaint is, the children were allowed to pick their piece to paint but many of the pieces they were allowed to pick from were out so those pieces should not be shown.

What a great place! We had our little girls birthday party here recently and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The owner and employees made our visit very comfortable.

An intuitive place for kids even for adults if they have some taste of painting. However, it is a pricy place, so look for every discount before getting there. The good news is that all of poetry wares are really usable, and not just a piece of decoration.

Its very good quality pottery there but its way overpriced. Very nice staff, paints, and quick service. They also have a separate studio for glass blowing which I imagine is very expensive too.

My daughter and I love coming here. I think this ceramics shop is nicer and offers more at a lesser price than Glazed Over. I will gladly come over here and paint for hours. So much fun.

Favorite plaxe to spend free time! I am not particularly creative or artistic but i love everuthing Ii have ever painted here. I have been a customer for over 8 years and absolutely love it! Its kid friendly but also spacious enough that I can always find a quiet corner to relax and paint. The childrens birthday parties are in separate rooms and so it is rarely loud. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely helpful. Tess is absolutely wonderful and is at the store most of the time. The pieces they have available to paint are very unique and original. Most are made in the store. If you want something they dont have available, talk to Tess and she will get it for you! You can spend as long as you would like on a piece. Simply take it home and bring it back when you are ready to work on it again! The prices are reasonable and include the paint and firing. I couldnt offer one suggestion to make it any better!!! I love it!

Ive only been here once but I have SO MUCH love for this place. My little sisters go here all the time so I went with them when I was home for the holidays.Even though its staffed by teenagers, they were all very helpful and friendly whenever I had a question or needed help- which was quite often as I stayed there for 5 hours working on my bowl.Now thats great and covers the basis for why it deserves at least a 3-star rating. Heres why they deserve a 5-star rating: after the ceramics came back glazed on New Years Eve, I noticed mine had a tiny chip on the top and being the anal perfectionist that I am, I knew that would bother me for as long a I had the bowl so I asked if there was anything they could do about it. They said they could touch it up and re-fire it, which would take about 2 days. Problem is I was leaving for New York first thing January 2nd and they were closed the next day- January 1st. The gentleman helping me made a call to his mom, Tess, to see what they could do. EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE CLOSED THE NEXT DAY, THEY WOULD STILL TOUCH-UP AND REFIRE MY CERAMIC FOR PICK UP THE NEXT MORNING.They took down my number and told me itll be ready about 10am tomorrow. Stupid me, I slept it and forgot all about it post-New Years Eve. I woke up around 10:45am to see that I had a missed call and text from Tess around 10am. I felt horrible! But she still waited for my mom to come and pick up my ceramic for me.Now that is above and beyond customer service and that is why it deserved at the very least a 5-star rating. I am definitely coming back the next time I visit Katy.

Fun place to go to paint and undwind. A smidge high but it is awesome that you get a choice of painting material however, BRING YOUR OWN BRSHES especially if you want to paint details.
