Beautiful piece of history! The B. Harley Bradley House was simply beautiful. Strategically placed right on the river, this house has so much history to share. The architecture in this house is a perfect representation of Frank Lloyd Wrights meticulous style. I hope to come back to take a boat tour in the or summer months.
My husband and I took the extended tour of this beautiful home. The house is a stunning example of Wrights prairie-style. It has an amazing history and was used as a factory and restaurant too, and restored to its original architectural glory in 2006.Make sure to visit the gift shop, which occupies the original coach house. While there, view the photos taken at the time that the restoration began. Knowledgeable staff and educational experience.
They did a good job restoring it back to its former state. Sadly they dont have the original furniture due to past owners decisions. Also it gets rented out occasionally to be used for events so it is not the most true to history because it serves other purposes now. I would suggest coming to learn the history and enjoy the beautiful views of the river front.
If you appreciate Frank Lloyd Wright this is a must see if youre in the area.
Great looking house!
Went here for a school field trip and absolutely loved it. The tour guide was super passionate about the place and there is a lot of interesting information about the house. I highly recommend anyone to get a tour and learn about it.
Iconic Frank Lloyd Wright home.
Fun museum. Hardly open.
The beautiful B. Harley Bradley House sits right near the edge of the Kankakee River in Kankakee, IL and the scenery is quite lovely. If you love exploring architecture, historic homes or are fascinated by the works and mind of Frank Lloyd Wright, this is a must see when visiting the area. It is one of his first prairie style homes and quite possibly is the first. His unique style always blended the natural world with his architecture. Stop in for a 45+ minute tour, discover the stories of the original owners and those who followed, and learn about Wrights personal life, architecture and notoriety. Be sure to stop in the gift shop either before or after the tour. By the way, a privately owned FLW prairie style home sits right next door to this one. Although it cant be visited inside, hear just a little about its history as well.
Closed for the winter. Cant wait to visit in the spring. Great gift shop also!
It is absoutly amazing with beautiful decor
Wonderful educational tour of a beautiful home.
Beautiful home! Lovingly restored in the FLW image. We had the entire tour to ourselves. Will definitely return for another visit and a boat ride. Wonderful people run the house and provide the tour.
Always loved this Frank Lloyd Wright beauty!
Beautiful home. One correction to the tour however, that I learned while in Oak Park. There are more sets of FLW homes that are adjacent to each other. Our guide said that it was the only place to occur.
Fun to tour through Frank Loyd Wrights first Prairie Style home. Very knowledgeable guide took us through on a long tour. The grounds are very nice, right on the shore of the large Kankakee River. Big trees provide lots of shade with beautiful scenery and scope for the imagination.
A worthy FLW trail site and an important design, but with a particularly fascinating history of different inhabitants and uses.
This place is history of Kankakee, Beautiful design, and beautiful scenery here to be seen.

Excellent example of Frank Lloyd Wrights early prairie style. Spacious home with sweeping views of the Kankakee river.
Experiance and and feel a walkthrough of Frank Lloyd Wrights timeless art and master architecture. No matter when you visit or attend an event there, you always feel the warmth and positive mood of this unique gift.
Riverview historic district. There are actually two FLW houses at this location.
