Best heart adrenaline hike on the island yet. Constant views all the way to the chimney.

Best hike of my life. Very difficult, but equally rewarding. Dont go when cloudy, you will bit see much due to fog.

Be careful, the trail up is treacherous as are the climbing sections. I wouldnt attempt if you arent an experienced hiker/climber. Also be careful when trusting your life to a rope tied to a rusty old piece of rebar. If you have the skills (and its dry) then go check it out, this is a simply incredible place to watch sunrise over Kailua!

The view from Chimney was amazing. As the sun rises it casts rays of light between Olomana and the Koolau Summit Trail on to Bowman, and lighting up the Kalihi Saddle. Absolutely breath taking.

Super steep and windy hike. Be prepared for heights and awesome views!

Great hike.

Some of the best views on Oahu. Short hike. SUPER WINDY and one slip and you’ll go plummeting to your death. Having said that, if you’re relatively fit, this is worth it. One of my favorite hikes in Hawaii.

TWO OPTIONS: 1 crazy but stunning and yes people do fall of the cliff face... the other is much easier and hugs the tree line... Choose your poison both offers stunning views...

Dont get me wrong. This hike is extremely beautiful and the panoramic views overlooking Kaneohe Bay are out of this world.Now to the review. This hike is extremely difficult. I would say that a person with average fitness level could complete this hike, but I would advise going with a local that has been before and knows the safest way to traverse the trail.There is no telling how long the ropes that assist you up and down the notches have been there, and the rocks that you climb are not granite like they are on the mainland. They are volcanic in nature, very brittle and crumbly.I was here on July 3rd and was a victim of a 15-20ft fall off of the first notch on my way back to the Pali parking lot (due to to the aforementioned crumbly rock). I was not seriously injured but it was very laborious to make my way back down in a severe amount of pain.You can get some beautiful views without even attempting the notches. Please do not hike any further than you are comfortable. There is nothing wrong with sitting out and waiting if your friends would like to continue. NEVER HIKE ALONE. EVER.Many people have fallen, were seriously injured, and have even died while hiking this trail. Respect mother nature; she can be unforgiving.

Worth the hike, there are two trails, one you are literally on the edge of the cliff, the other if you are a little more timid, you can walk down from the edge in the trees.
