Ok place theres a pool but you must check the hours many times I went and it was either not open or not open for public free swim. There is showers and ample lifeguards and the place is fairly clean. There is a weight room which is free once you sign up for a safety tour. Great for basketball tournaments. It is close to the public library which is a plus. The park itself is a little iffy in regards to safety but a good thing is the police station is located ajacent to the park. When I was younger I practiced Pop Warner cheerleadering here for Kailua Mustangs and the football team would practice on the huge field. I also remember flying a kite here when I was little as the field has space for this.

Great little park right next to shops. There are cleanish bathrooms on both sides. The park is usuau taken up by people playing soccer or baseball but when its open, great place to fly kites or have a group event. Two large parking lots on each side. They dont allow dogs and there is no playground. A lot of homeless people stop off here.

Awesome place, the indoor courts are in good condition and the staff is great. The bathrooms were not clean but had toilet paper, soap and paper towels which is rare in a park. I would definitely recommend playing basketball or volleyball here.

I havent been to the park for a very.long time. Things have change. I inquired about various programs that are for seniors citizens. So the opening enrollment will be this weekend. I understand there a lot of people sign up and have a good time and fun too. So Im going to give it a try.

Review №13

They really cleaned up the district park, but some of the swings are going missing again you definitely want to supervise your kiddos closely here since its a public park and some seedy people stroll through from time to time. Overall the staff are helpful in the gym and at the pool. Our family uses and enjoys the facilities!

Nothing unique or special, just typical city park. Hosts a lot of kids sports like soccer, football, baseball and softball. Has bathrooms, which are nice, but dont let your kids go in their alone, sometimes theres drug paraphernalia and stranger danger. Parking is typically congested and kids running in and out of the parking area.

Everyone should take advantage of your district parks because you are paying for it in your taxes and a lot of the things there are free to you like the pool, workout room etc. But Mayor Caldwell needs to do a better job on taking care of our parks and a lot of other things.Besides being all wrapped of in the stupid rail system. End it at Middle St . and be done with it and take care of a lot more important issues. Stop trying to raise our taxes and wasting money on this rail that is useless and it doesnt make money it goes really nowhere.

Nice park to come to when watching kids games. Parking lot off of Kailua road has ample parking spaces but if there is a game then spaces can be tight. You can park in lot across field off of Kainalu drive but then it can be a bit of a walk especially if you have allot to tote around. You could illegally park on the grass as I see other patrons doing or you could park in one of the nearby shopping center lots but just watch out for their security. There is a Times Supermarket within walking distance as well as other eateries, book shops, nail salons, etc if you get bored. The park does provide some shade but not much so bring your umbrellas and chairs. The bathrooms are conveniently located right at parking lot entrance and are usually open and functional. Have fun!
