Since the epicenter was very close, less than 10 miles away from my house, the ferocity of this earthquake was considerable, and severe enough to cause major infrastructure damage to local roads and bridges. Youve probably seen a few of these pictures on the national news. The event was quite scary, by far the biggest and most frightening earthquake Ive ever experienced. The entire house rumbled and shook as if a freight train was running right through the living room. Being early morning on the last day of November, it was still dark outside, and the power went out almost immediately.

Free one hour tours offered by knowledgeable guide. Compared to other Capitols, not as impressive, but nice. Cool photos and art in hallways.
