We had a wonderful time. Myself, Daughter and grandsons. It was set up well to protect us from covid-19. Several stations of hand sanitizer. I felt safe and enjoyed it.
Upon a recommendation from a gentleman next to us at the state park, we stopped in for a visit, and it was well worth the drive. The video on the formation of Crowleys Ridge was educational, and well worth its time. The nature trail behind the center was awesome with its elevated walkways over the marshlands, and the tower looking over the prairie. If the nature center staff reads this, add a donation box near the entrance! I looked around for one, and finally asked the front desk, only to find out they had to ring up donations... not a huge deal, but having a box would certainly bring in more funds.
My family just loved this place! Alot of great animals to see! It is a very good learning experience for the kids! And the trails are pretty neat as well! Take a relaxing walk and enjoy yourself!!
We had a wonderful time there. It was our first visit, but it definately wont be our last.
Very nice facility and educational. Great experience for all ages.
An absolute must for the kids. The building has three levels with things to see and do on all three levels. There are deer, beavers, birds and other mammals mounted and the center has live fish, snakes, frogs, lizards, and turtles for the kids to look at. Take to the time get the kids in the theater to watch the short fifteen minute learning film. They will love it.
Love the nature center. Great place to take the kids to learn about animals and nature. They have theater room that shows a video about how Arkansas was formed thousands of years ago. Walking trails with lookout towers you can climb up to look out over the area through a telescope. Lots of live snakes, fish, turtles, etc... to view. They also have a gift shop to get a souvenir of your trip there. Highly recommend!
We always take the grandkids here when they come up....but more importantly, we visit a few times a year on our own. It is really neat to see some of the animals they have on the property and learn more about our wildlife. My husband loves the shooting gallery game the best. The kids craft center downstairs is fun. And if you catch it just right, you will get to see them feed the gators or maybe even pet one!
Fun for the whole family. See how Arkansas is home to animals of all sizes. You may even see some Arkansas Masture Naturalists.
Awesome nature center! They have a movie you can watch free. They have a few trails with lookout spots.
Love this place they have lots of exhibits to look at and even a stage show with effects like wind and stuff, trails, helpful, friendly. Great place for families to go.
Great walking trails and lots of exhibits of wildlife to look at. This is a great place to spend an afternoon with the kids.
I recently attended the hunters education course and I have nothing but great reviews for the staff there, especially the course instructor, Shaun Merrell. He was very educated on the subjects taught and approached the attendees in a hospitable manner. I would definitely recommend this instructor to anyone who intents to take hunters education!
Loved time there grand kids like the Saturday activities will come back
Well laid out. Lots of information at the various exhibits as well as numerous live animals, most all reptiles and amphibians including alligators. Would be nice to have a few mammals maybe but still a variety of wildlife to see. Nice gift shop and the outside walking trails are impressive.
Nice place. Just trails and some animals. Still nice to get out of the normal
Great place to hang out for a bit and learn some new things.
Small yet well thought out exhibits. Good information.
We love finding a good outdoor place to explore. This did not disappoint. We saw lizards, turtles, and birds along the path, and several nice animal displays inside. The great horned owl was our favorite.
My family loves to visit this place. Such a fun learning adventure.
My sister and I took our grandchildren here today...Always have loved this place it never gets old going here...very educational for the kids and we as adults enjoy it as well....
Have had great time there with grandkids made turkey calls one time we try to go each month and sometimes more
Was a great walk on the trails, some are steep but we enjoyed that believe that spring would be so beautiful with all the blooms of flowers
Had real animals, just like a mini zoo and had walking trails and was free
Absolutely beautiful trails and so many fun activities for kids! We loved it!
Very educational and informative and great experience for the whole family especially for young children a must go to for the whole family
Besides the educational exhibits which were interesting, the place is almost like a zoo for reptiles. They had a huge owl in a cage on their back porch which was well worth seeing. Its a nice way to kill some time and the price of free is right.
One of our favorite places to take the kids. Love the walk through the trails ans enjoy the slower part of life.
We love this place! Weve been 5 to 6 times. Great time for kids of all ages!
The hiking trail was nice and shaded but not long enough. The nature center is small but has nice displays and air conditioned.

Such an amazing way to see the formation of Crowleys Ridge! Lots of activities for the kids on the weekends, and best of all, its free!
Love the exhibits and activities! Very friendly and clean!!
I love the nature park..theres lots to see inside
Great place to learn about wildlife with the kids. And its peaceful. We even got to watch the caretaker feed the allegators. And best of all it doesnt cost anything. So if you want to enjoy the day with the kids and are limited on funds this is a great place for all ages
Great place to hike and see some nature
Great for walking and enjoying nature. You can walk the actual the center itself in about 15min. Definitely a good place to go with the family for a fun and FREE afternoon
Trails are well maintained, live woodland/lake creatures, a must stop if youre in the area.
Best place to spend the day with family and it doesnt cost a thing! Tyler and Trevor put in crafts for the kids on Saturdays, and the staff is AMAZING! Its like our second home and we LOVE it! The discovery room has coloring and games for the kids, and a hike to look at nature is the best exercise.
One of my favorite places to visit in Jonesboro. The Nature Center is fun for the whole family. The film about how the ridge was formed has lots of special effects and is great every time we see it. (We have seen it at least a dozen times.) There are lots of reptiles and fish to look at, lots of activities, and the trail around the outside is wonderful when the weather is nice.
Lots to see. Two movies you can watch. Plenty of exhibits. Lot of parking.
Great nature center with nice trails to walk.
Great place to take the family. Good displays and informative. Friendly people and they can answer any questions you may have
Ive been here 4 or 5 times. Its a wonderful place to bring the kids. I recommend to anyone.
This place is awesome! My kids love going and doing the crafts and watching the movie. They also love the gators
Love being in nature??Then this is the place for you,so many trails and activities for children
Great place for kids and adults . Lots to see and do. I recommend seeing the feeding if their animals. They have lots of different activities like painting of bug jars, making bird houses, ect. Beautiful grounds to explore.
My family had a great time looking at the exhibits and going on the nature trails
This place is one of my familys favorites to kill a couple hours. If you go when the weather is decent, there are plenty of trails and outside attractions. The film they show in the theater is neat as well.
Wonderful free time with family
Fun for the family everytime! They have a gift shop.
Beautiful and fascinating. I grew up in Jonesboro and had no idea about the history of NE Arkansas and Crowleys Ridge. So this was a great way to spend a couple of hours during a recent visit to my parents.
Beautiful place
Outstanding! Highly recommend spending a day there. So much to see.
Its a good learning exp.
It is always interesting and enjoyable for the family but they have wasp nesting on 3rd floor and I am allergic.
It was good to watch the video and go outside to walk the trail.
A great fun and educational place to take the family. Although I have been there many times, I always seem to find something that I did not noticed before.
Wonderful..am amazed & entertained every time we go. So good for kids.
Great place to go, you never know what they will be doing. Ive gotten to hold a baby alligator, played with snakes, caught little lizards outside on the trails. Always a good time.
You get to learn about nature reptiles and mammals
Visited with olds son & greatgranddaughter. Enjoyed every moment. A wonderful place to bring family.
The empyees at the Crowleys Ridge Nature Center are friendly and will help you with with just about everything you need. The restrooms are always clean and you never have to ask if anyone of them can be restocked, the entire showroom floor is kept clean all of the time.Theres just one minor thing and that is, the AC is broken/not working.
I took my dad and he loved all of the animal tracks everywhere. Exceptional Nature Center
