Sycamore Trails

My wife and I have traveled many trail systems throughout the northern states of the American Discovery trail. By far one of the smoothest and widest of them.

Nice hiking trail and it isnt very busy any time I have gone. Peaceful.

Fun long trail. Lots of single track thru the woods, a few ups and downs, but mostly flat. Beautiful scenery - lakes, river, woods. Its a good 6.5 mile loop around the outer perimeter with a few cut-throughs if you want to make it shorter or mix up your route. Definitely going back here next time Im in the area

Great fishing spot and nice scenery .

Beware of deer ticks. We went out today, stuck to the trail (just moving over when bikes passed). Even after showering I’m still finding ticks on me and the dog, who also got a bath (and takes preventative meds). Pulled off 5 adult sized ones so far. I’ve never experienced this on other trails in the metro. I can’t sleep because I feel like bugs are crawling all over me.

Best single track mountain bike trail in central Iowa. The trail borders the river as well as several private gravel pits. Several cool sites to be seen along the way.

Fun flowy trails, be sure to bring bug spray however

Great option for MTB in the area. A couple of trail options with relatively flat terrain.

Great trail system

The trail is awesome. Today the snow was falling and there wasnt any wind. We saw several bald eagles flying and in trees. There have been several fat tire bikes out making the trail easy to walk.

A little muddy cause of the snow melt, but overall good hike.

The trails were great.

Perfect way to get fresh air with the kids!

Always fun doing some of road biking or running. Recently cleaned up and widened trails.

Great place to bike, hike, run or explore. Bring the kids and let the dog run loose!
