Always a good time. Pin fish never disappoint and the scenery alone is incredible! Definitely could use more options for spots to cast from but timing is key!! ️ SC

One of Jacksonvilles nicer parks. There are beautiful trails through lush greenery and excellent boardwalk paths that lead to and around the waterfront! My kids love this park for bike riding, fishing and just walking.

Really beautiful walking trails.

Nice trails that go out into the marsh area and have a fishing location on the water. There was also a small playground, a couple charcoal grills, and a couple covered picnic tables.

It’s a beautiful park with rolling hills. Crowded by fishermen on the docks but still beautiful. The only part that was creepy and weird was more to the left near the parking.. this trail was a walk through the neighborhood backyards with views into yards of peoples homes and the trail ended in the street. Didn’t love that so much but overall it was a nice experience with a good little walk around. Some of the other trails also ended abruptly and weirdly into other things. Glad we got to check it out

Nice little gem in Onslow County. Good for hikes and fishing.

Nice local park with a playground and some paved walking trails as well as a small boardwalk. There is also a floating kayak/canoe launch pad at the end of the boardwalk. It is a nice area to kayak, the water is calm and quiet most of the time. Sturgeon City itself is an ongoing project benefiting the health of the river and its flora and fauna.

Nice clean playground with trails

I have walked on the trail here many times. It is an easy and enjoyable walk with lots of birds, insects and aquatic life to watch. I even saw a small alligator twice during the summer.

With the docks that lead out on the water it was a great place to take kids and hang out

I love taking my pup for a walk here. Its normally pretty quite which is really nice

Great fishing spot for the kids. Nice trail, but a little short for us. Playground is decent.

You can sure catch some crabs here not much on the fish end though.

Beautiful location very family orientated great place to camp and picnic with your kids they even have a walkway that goes straight to the water definitely recommend

Pretty cool

I went crabbing with the family here a few weeks ago. Its nice, quiet, remote and absolutely beautiful. It has a little play scape area for the children. We didnt catch any fish there but we did catch quite a few crabs.

Maybe the best park in Jacksonville. Old dump made into a park, so theres actually a little hill. Nice sidewalks/boardwalks. Open space on top of the hill.

I enjoyed the trails and scenery. Its very peaceful. There are gazebos, grills and a playground, No restrooms.The Civil War Trail signs are deceiving . There is one informational platform along the walk.

Relaxing place but there are no public bathrooms.

This park is a hidden gem in our city. There is a covered pavillion, plenty of grassy areas for kids to play and a lengthy nature trail that leads to the water and around the park.

This is a 14 acre park that showcases an award-winning design by Carol R. Johnson and Associates of Boston, Mass. The site was designed to incorporate a previous landfill, construction fill site and to serve as the background for a winding pathway representing the trip of the New River from where it bubbles up near Richlands to the New River Inlet.The mounds were created using repurposed fill that was removed to restore the wetlands that help to clean the Wilson Bay from the years of abuse from the Wilson Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant.
