Stopped here to have a picnic lunch with the kids. Saw a person shoot up and pass out on the bench. Left after 5 minutes. Would be a nice place if it wasnt so sketchy. Very sad.
Love the park. Nice shaded walking sidewalks. Very nice pavilion. Unfortunately the derelicts are taking over. Because of this, I would not recommend you go in the early morning or late evenings. Day time use only to be safer. And in a group if you have children.
This was a nice park. Till it became a homeless hangout. Cant take you kids there anymore. What can be done?
Nice park. Lots of shade. A little outdated but beautiful area. As a parent your head must be on swivel due to the drug activity and sketchy individuals lingering around.
The park is big with lots of open grass which makes it nice park to visit. Unfortunately the inner part of the park is full of homeless people and stragglers. Ive gone at 8am, 10am 1pm and theyre always there at the gazebo and on the benches and kids area. Sleeping bags and backpacks are laid out as if theyve been there a while and comfortable there. They smoke and leave bottles around. Doesnt necessarily bug me since I go out there to use the fields and train but I would definitely not bring my kids or family there and I stay away from the gazebo and kids area.
This park would be so much better if you were able to enjoy it with out having people sleeping around the tables and seats.
It is a cute large park but it was sad to revisit this park and see so many bums camped out and clothes with garbage thrown around. There was 2 guys fist fighting in front of the park area. Not a good environment any more.
Use to be way better before homeless took over
This is the homeless hangout. There are ALWAYS homeless people here. Not that it’s unsafe but just be aware. The equipment needs maintenance. All the swings are broken. It’s a beautiful park but we won’t come here anymore, mostly because there are rarely any other kids here.
Its a homeless camp with broken swings. Stay away, youve been warned.
There were about 10 homeless people up there taking up all picnic tables, the plan was to eat lunch with my kids at the tables so instead we sat in car and ate.
This park is great for smaller kids. The equipment is safe and there is a fence around the entire park. I really enjoy the walking trail and the park is kept clean.
Its getting better
Nice little park in the middle of the city. Had the lookout tower, which is no longer in use or accessible. There was a few nice pieces of playground equipment, and a gazebo. Seemed to have a bit of homeless people hanging out, but they were not panhandling or intrusive. Its nothing to go out of your way for, but if you find yourself nearby, stop for a few relaxing minutes.
Went in with a 4year old phone that was overheating and not holding a charge. Getting ready to go out of town to Maryland with my 4 year old grandson. Alexander Sirotin took immediate care of my phone diagnosed problem as a battery. Was due for an up grade and he found a phone that would work well me. He was wonderful, extremely knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. Thank you Alexander.
Not enough for a 13 month old. I recommend 6 or older
Love coming here with my 2 dogs and also great place to bring little kids. Very shaded and quiet even though its right next to Beach Blvd. you dont hear all the noise like you may think. I recommend coming here if you want a nice quiet place to go and just get away. They have water fountains too, which was very welcoming as I had just run out of water for my dogs.
The grandkids enjoyed the park very much.
A lot of homeless in this park. A bit dangerous.
It was a nice rainy day for a walk in the park
Had a nice walk around
Had a very big trail to walk, the park itself was enclosed. Equipment looks like it needs to be updated not to mention the fact that there were some homeless vagrants there that made the area seemed a little uneasy towards the end of our stay
Very well kept. Great place for you or the whole family. Go for the day and picknic and its FREE
Best place for your health
Sharing chalk fun with children in park. Met very nice friendly lady and her daughter. Hopefully meet again same time. Enjoyed talking with her.
It was an awesome Park I would have gave it five stars but bums were hanging out up there
Lots of homeless people here. But the park is nice for walking 4 laps is a mile and it is well shaded.
Shaded playgrounds. Walking path/ trail track lots of trees
Had my babys brithday there make sure you reserve first cuz theres only one kiosko
Be aware of your surroundings.but a great park!
I always visit this park when my daughter asks to play at a park. I like that its open and visible from the road and nearby businesses, usually isnt too crowded but not creepy and deserted either. My little one loves the playground and theres space to walk around, sit if you brought lunch or a book or ride a bike and the whole park is nice and shaded.
Nice shaded Park grateful for evening dinner or early lunch Play Day
Nice playground for littler kids to enjoy. Enough space to run around. Big kid swings are broken. Lots of benches. One big gazebo. Homeless people smoking/drugs and drinking and arguing in the middle of the park. When we walked the path, they stared us down, felt uncomfortable.
Quiet park with a walking path, playground, covered picnic tables, and nice shade from the big oak trees
Big park and quiet and dog friendly
Nice park but a lot of homeless people laying around.
Needs to be updated. A lot of it is broken. Lots of people yet we were the only one with kids. Everyone else was older and just hanging out.
Good park during mid day hours.
Group of homeless. Smoking out of something and peeing on tree in front of my 2 year old . I had to leave. My first and last time
Dirty, filled with Hobos
Kids love it but wish their swings were working
This park I been visiting for more them 20 years and have all kind of kids play ground but in this last 4 years is getting full of homeless all the time
Good except for the bumbs or homeless people drinking in the park while kids were playing then sitting down at our table asking for a sandwhich normally a nice park
Great place for the family
Time for a lil updating. Itd be nice to have more than just one big kid swing.
Good open space for evening stroll, play with kids
We need the park to be more clean the are people doing ..drinking and drugs.. We need police more..now the are doing good but the need sometime going at wroung.... But thank you!! For the police for doing the job.
Its nice
The park is nice. But needs a bathroom.
This used to be a nice park. It has since been taken over by a large number of homeless people. These people scream, argue and fight each other. I can no longer take my children there.
THIS IS NOT A DOG PARK
Nice little park in the middle of an area that just doesnt have enough parks. I like to walk here with my wife and pick up some litter while we get some fresh air and sunshine.
Too close to traffic and too noisy for my liking.
I be ate and lefted, no one bother me.IT WAS NICE !
Their is a lot of homeless people in this park. Yeah they do have benches quite a bit actually. But i took my 3 year old daughter to play and felt so uncomfortable. And it isnt the first time i have been to this park and its the same everytime. And the tables are broken and burnt. The swings have been broken for a year now. And the homeless people are over populated. Coming up asking for money or my childs snacks. A little rediculous and unsafe for children. Why would you ask a 3year old for money. But yet it has happened on several occasions. I wont be back.
One of my sons favorite park always a nice breeze and open and safe for children
Nice tranquil place in the middle of a busy section of town. Good to walk, for children to play or just relax.
This place is fine, but the fence have a hole of side to lake, my boy 2 year old, got out. Need fix it.
Right near Racetrack, Speedway, American Hot Dog & Beach Blvd Flea Mkt. 19 park benches, 2 stone covered trash bins, 3 trash containers by grills. Pavilion has 5 tables & a raised roof for air. Lots of tall, leafy trees lining walkway with a wooden fence on one side.
Small, quiet park. Even on days with a dozen kids it is still pretty quiet. Youll often find younger children here so you wont have to worry about them being run over by bigger kids. There are plenty of benches around the park to sit and there are 4 tables under the pavilion you can rent. Plenty of shade and tons of paved paths to walk or bike circling the place. Nearby gas station with easy access for restroom/refreshments. For those playing Pokemon Go, there are 2 Pokestops here inside the park.
Would give a half star but cant configure that one. Always people eager to learn your business there (nosy people). Pollen collects on all the benches and the two not under the guzebo. One of the tables under the guzebo is broken/sawterd through and has been with caution tape for months (maybe years, dont know).
Too many homeless and people passed out on the benches
Not actually for kids.
Exciting
Family friendly park
In my opinion the park needs new or remodeled everything.
Nice park, limited parking, but good place for the kids to burn off some energy.
Needs more swings, only has one for big kids and two for babies.
Lots of fun
Its a decent sized park but its very dirty and it seems to be a popular place for homeless people. It also gets overcrowded very easily.
Too many homeless drinking cursing where the kids are playing
Nice park, lots of room to play.
Relaxing....
Nice park, usually not crowded at all.
A great place to relax, picnic and stroll.
Its small and pretty good for a game tag
Safe family park.

Fun there
Fun for family
