I usually avoid Hooligans because it is not my crowd and has had a certain reputation for being a bit rough/dangerous. A friend of mine was playing dualing pianos there so we have gone several times now. Definitely need to check it out! Seems like they are trying to change their reputation a bit and its good. Blazin Keys Entertainment and Casey T. Cotton will definitely help. Forget dualing pianos in Myrtle Beach, come check these guys out. I will say though, getting wanded and frisked is a bit off putting but somewhat understandable in todays society.

I never went there but...my old GreatDanePitt did..on New Years Eve...after breaking thru our fence. They cared for him..fed him and even took him in so he would be safe. Thats a 5 star for me!!

Its weird. They play nothing but rap n reggae. But you have to dress like youre going to a boys 11 men concert or you cant get in. No hats, joggers or plain tees

Hiphop and dance club primarily a place for people into urban culture. Awesome vibes especially on ladies night. Perfect for people who are use to city clubs. 4 stars because many tend to over drink and fight but the bouncers do a great job of neutralizing situations especially bike mike!

Cannot believe there is a cover charge for this place. The amount of bouncers is a strong indicator of the quality of people that go there and the lack of people is a strong indicator of how terrible this place is. Waste of time and money.

Dj needs to be fired. His playlist is weak on saturdays. It’ll make you sober up real fast, he need some updated hip hop.

Great staff....clean facility....could use more bathrooms.....went to watch a live show, the music was so loud I couldnt make out any of the words being sung by the artist, but the other 25 or so patrons loved it.

Hooligans is one of my favorite spots to party when I want to have a night out, with no worries. The bartenders are good, security is spot on, and the environment can be electric.

Security staff threatened to remove me when I told a drunk guy that if he came at me again I’d clock him, mine you this was the 3rd time he’d come at me and he had been spoken to and was allowed back inside. When I spoke to the owner she yelled at me and told me I shouldn’t have left (which I left because I felt unsafe). Won’t be back too bad too it’s a cute little place

Saturday nights, this is the place to be. The Dj isnt 100%, but after a few drinks, you wont even worry that his mixes are trash!!

Saturday night is great for a girls night out. Good music cold drinks. A lot of fun.

Music is awesome for dancing and its a good time however the 20.00 minimum is ridiculous especially when you can go other places and drink with a minimum of10.00... they have a vip section but its not worth the 40.00 a person at all. It seems a little over priced overall.

Very clean, staff is awesome. Safest nightclub in Jacksonville. Great live entertainment for all ages. Comfortable inside and outside seating environment.

I really didnt stay long enough to give a complete review, but the short time there was just fine.

It was ok. Very small, takes covers after 1am when there are no people in the establishment. Poorly run. But sadly we have no other venues to choose from. Beggars cant be choosers lol

This is one of my favorite places to go for a concert.

I am a regular at hooligans and i love the night manager velvet and the dj ryry plays the best mixes.. The only downfall is how crowded it can get and the fights that happen almost every weekend.. And since dec after i leave i hear about a shooting happening in the neighbouring parking lot.. I love this place but there are downfalls..

I went on st.patricks day (a Thursday) it wasnt that many people but the music great. The dj was awesome and had pop, rap, oldies, plus more mix. It was great.

The bouncers were super cool and the drinks were awesome. Only four stars because the drinks are over priced and the music had awkward transitions sometimes.

Thats almost where I want to be at every weekend. one of the male bartenders, kinda short. if i catchem outside hes gettin Fed up..

The floor was so sticky that my flip-flops constantly kept getting stuck to the floor in the concert area!

Good selection of micro-brewed beer.Attracts too many kids. And murders. lol.Neat fact is that its the only bar in Jacksonville (maybe even all of Onslow?). Meaning, you dont need to have membership. There is a retarded law in NC that outlawed bars (it requires bars to be private clubs and enforce memberships) and this is the last remaining bar... but a friend said they might have changed that law in the last couple years... cant find anything on it!

Dirty, high prices, and when bands play there it sounds horrible...bad very bad acoustics. Have heard same bands elsewhere and they sounded so MUCH BETTER!!!
