This place looks like an ordinary bar, but DAAAAAMN does it deliver!! I chose this special which was seared sea scallops over a Parmesan risotto with asparagus finished with a balsamic drizzle and it absolutely exceeded my expectations! The calamari was also delicious.I would get anything here time any time!Ali, our server, was..... AMAZING!Nice, knowledgeable, and funny.We had dinner plans somewhere else, but I took too long and we ended up here... Im so glad we did.

Service is always prompt even when they have a full house. Staff treated us so nice. This place has an awesome feel to it.

Great atmosphere and the kitchen is better than 95% of restaurants in town! Anything breaded is in house. Hand pattied burgers not frozen. Freshly made. Great independent locally owned neighborhood pub. Bartenders are superb as well.

Placed an order on Thanksgiving night thru Uber Eats around 6:00. My husband called the Monkeys Uncle around 6:15 to make sure they would be putting the condiment packets, (ketchup, mayo, etc.) in with the order. The woman ASSURED him, oh yes, we do that. Our order arrived on time, by a wonderful driver. We opened our order. There were zero condiments. No silverware, napkins, salt/pepper, mayo, ketchup. Nada. We are in a hotel room on Thanksgiving night. I called the establishment. Spoke to an employee. I was placed on hold for a good minute. The owner/manager came on the line. He did apologize, and said he would speak to his staff, however, it didnt change the fact that he was chuckling while he was speaking to me and we ended up eating two bites of our dinner and and ended up pitching the rest. Our $39.58 cheeseburger and reuben ended up in the trash with no offer of what can I do to fix this?.

Best sports bar overall at the beaches. The food is awesome and it comes out quick. Last night the service was pretty bad but one experience, hey it happens it was busy, the waitress didn’t know how to split the bill which was odd. I think she was overwhelmed. She didn’t write anything down so she didn’t remember who had what items. Probably took us 40 minutes to get that settled. Overall though great food great atmosphere.

One of my frequent spots since I love a particular group of people that gather here. The service is good, sometimes the servers get overwhelmed but they try hard. Food is always excellent and the menus are adventurous, not just bar food. The only issue I have had is that I need to watch my bill. I have caught errors and overcharges a few times now. Once is a mistake, more than that and it looks like its a regular practice. Be aware and look at your bill, dont just hand over your card.

Great venue, great wait staff (Carmen/Jamie top notch) very friendly, courteous and expedient! Cudos’ to the kitchen cook staff as well! Food was awesome! Lots of good food and drink specials for sure.

Always awesome food.They have a jukebox so their customers can play music... Someone keeps playing the same songs over and over. Otherwise, great spot to hang out, get some beers, and watch sports.

Monkeys Uncle is a nice Tavern to visit near Jacksonville Beach. Me and my wife have visited numerous times. Friendly and inviting ambience. We plan to visit again soon. Thank you Uncle for your great service.

I came with friends on Trivia Night for the first time and had an absolute blast! The servers are attentive and the bartenders were amazing. The food was good and drinks were epic. Its a laid back place, and very friendly. So if you are looking for a fancy place with valet parking and weird drinks that you have never heard of, this aint the place for you. If you are looking for a place to have fun, meet a few new people and enjoy the night in a true local bar, then this is the place for you.

I really want to like this place. We have been in a few times. For the price, the food is OK. The service is usually great.This last time meals were ok. Mahi was overcooked, but blackened shrimp were good. Son liked the wings, but said fried shrimp was ok. Wife got the crab cake sandwich, meh. She felt the crab cake lacked flavor over the fried oil flavor.Bridey was a great server, so made the meal better. Wont rush back, especially for a meal. Too many great restaurants in the area for these price points.

Great local bar. Service is great and drinks are strong. The food is absolutely delicious. The southwest egg roll appetizer is absolutely heavenly. Chicken fried chicken is great too. Has pool tables and darts and a large patio. Karaoke, trivia, etc. on various nights. Will definitely be back!

Great food! I had the jumbo wings with honey sriracha sauce (sweet and spicy, but not to spicy) and my daughter had the cheese steak both were excellent! Everything was clean even the restroom! Will definitely be back!

Bias alert... I love this place! Well run... friendly staff with an incredible owner. Management is always improving the food, drink specials, etc. Locals brag about the food during lunch and dinner! Visitors rave about the nightlife after dark... Great drinks, live music, Karaoke, trivia, and pool tables. Any problems that Ive ever heard of, which are rare, were quickly resolved... Couldnt ask for much more.

Love the friendly service and great drinks (especially happy hour). I just wish they would invest in a Bluetooth speaker or something so we could play trivia on the patio. As much as we spend there, I would think they would have gotten this fixed before we decided to try trivia some place else.

Definitely a big improvement on the old place that was farther south on A1A. This place is bigger, better lit, more modern, and the menu is new and improved with a lot of the old classics. Went on Friday night during March Madness, there were more kids than I expected in a beach bar at that hour but lets chalk that up to the sports on TV. The place was crowded so service was a little slower than I had come to expect, but overall a good experience. I would go back.

Was excited to hear that this place serves late night food, but I found myself down the road eating at Mellow Mushroom instead. My fiancee and I sat at the bar for awhile and waited longer than we should of. Two employees, one seemingly the manager on shift, successfully avoided greeting us after 5 minutes, though we were right in front of them, and seemed open to taking care of everyone around us. This review is solely based off customer service and does not speak to quality of the food, which we werent able to try. Well consider revisiting at another time to see if we catch a better crew.

Service was really slow at first. Bartender didnt put in my order. Took 45 minutes to get my food, they were slammed, and dont appear to do well when busy, the kitchen at least. It is a friendly environment and great for televised sports events. Great environment, could do better with their beer selection. I would go back

Food and drinks are very good. The prices are very good. Plus if you are into sports they lots of TVs. If you are into games they have darts, pool tables, and other games.

This place is wonderful. All age groups are welcome as well as families. The food is wonderful the burgers are incredible as well as the fresh fried shrimp and the meatloaf dinner is outstanding!Bar staff are attentive and do a great job whether it be the bartender or the waitresses. They have a stage which they use for karaoke, not sure if they have bands but if they do what a great addition to the casual bustling ambience.I had a mushroom Swiss burger that was phenomenal with the Fried Boom Boom shrimp. Both were delicious. On another visit had the meatloaf ( better than moms) trust me. A great place after the beach or for a late dinner as kitchen is open until 1 am. I have never been treated more poorly by a manager in my life. This place use to be good but has gone down hill over the years.

Went for lunch and had a mahi sandwich. Lots of fish on toasted and buttered bun-tasty. The steak fries that came with it were a bit under cooked and limp. Sandwich was all I cared about and it was delish. Nice atmosphere and friendly service.

If youre looking for a family friendly dive bar. So to speak. Go to Monkeys Uncle Tavern. Amazing food, good prices, and an unrivaled staff. Its definitely the place to be if you want to feel at home.

Really fun had triva night and we just played pool.. pool tables was in the cut which I like cause I dont like feeling like I have to be around a lot of ppl.Only thing is is we walked in and there was noone up front to greet us or give us a menu. Considering we never been there before..
