The playhouse has old theatre charm. The sets were impressive. There seasonal playlist is entertaining.

My wife and I watched this on 9/26/2020. The show was good. The cast was great. We enjoyed learning a bit about the history of the building. We were able to get two of the last 4(?) remaining tickets about 2 hrs before show time, so we were stuck on the far outside seats, which limited our visibility to a couple minutes of action. The seats are old and a bit tattered, which could be seen as a deterrent OR appreciated for their historical value. There isn’t a ton of leg room, but as a 6’0” guy, I was fairly comfortable.We didn’t have the dinner, so we can’t speak to that.I would take our family/friends there if we were to visit Jackson, WY again.

What a blast! You wont be disappointed! Staff was super friendly, food was good and decently priced, and the show was so much fun! The actors were amazing! Worth every penny!

Went to the Playhouse on 9/16/20 for dinner and the show. We were very pleased with the food. The rates were reasonable and the Pre Show and Show was fabulous!!!! The actors engaged with the audienece and kept me laughing almost the entire show. Our waiter, Austin, was not only an excellent waiter but was a wonderful singer and showman. This was one of the best times out that I have had in a long time. I would highly recommend that you check it out!!!!!!

Was absolutely blown away by the talent on stage. Could have been on Broadway and very glad we did dinner before the show. Really blown away by how good of a job they do and I highly recommend going while in Jackson Hole

Pleasantly surprised at the Adams Family musical. All actors ridiculously good singing and dancing with older and current songs. There is nothing small about the talent working here. Really kind staff, clean everything, popcorn and candy for purchase, covid spaced seating leaving every other row empty, and again the voices... so good!

Fun, family friendly, extremely welcoming and entertaining! Fabulous dinner and the play had me laughing clapping and singing along! Support our local arts! This truly is a treasure in Jackson Hole!

Top notch performances!! Ive seen a few productions at this theater and am ALWAYS impressed with the vocal talent and production value. Seats are narrow, and I wish they offered a healthy snack option or two, but I was also impressed by their covid preventative measures.Definitely worth the drive, the tone and the ticket.

Five stars isn’t enough. It’s the best small town theatre I’ve ever seen. A wonderful night in a beautiful historic building. We got there last minute and they got us in no problem. So much talent it was insane! You could tell that the performers love their jobs and commit to their roles. You don’t want to miss it!!

Hilarious play The Ballad of Kat Ballou. We did dinner and the show, and we got $20 off for booking in person (we went for brunch and decided to catch some theater). I was not expecting much from dinner but was pleasantly surprised with how tasty my braised short ribs were. Probably had a few too many drinks with dinner, and the show was so funny that my group was rather loud. Nobody else in the audience was getting all the innuendo and we got nervous and tried to leave, but the staff encouraged us to have fun and even offered us a popcorn to go back! The entire cast bursts into a tap dance number unexpectedly, and i couldnt have been more pleased.

Went here last night for dinner and a show with our kids (7,10) for something different to do. We all loved the show, very entertaining and great acting! The singing & dancing was top notch, highly recommend or you are looking for a relaxing night to laugh and be entertained. A very talented group!

The old west atmosphere is amazing and the show was fantastic! Well do the dinner next time - and yes, there will definitely be a next time! A unique entertainment experience for the family. A must see in my book!

What a great night. The servers or our delicious meal were the actors in this comedy musical and they were A+ in both roles. Caleb aka BlackJack Strange was fantastic. The staff entertained us during the dinner in the rustic restaurant, with guitars and songs. And the show was top notch. We were really impressed. Everyone should go.

The show was so good Id pay $10,000 to go back.

Wow is all I have to say. I’m from New York and have seen a handful of off broadway shows. The acting and writing is high quality stuff. Did the show only and saw the Cat Ballou. A must see in town!

If I could add more stars I WOULD. Im a big fan of musicals and The Ballad of Cat Ballou was the first I ever got to see. I was hopeful and the show went above and beyond. The food was great and the staff was the kindest. The actors interacted with the audience and the musical was funny and I had a blast. Im really glad I got to go and if Im ever in the area again Im certainly going to do my best to go again!!!!

The most amazing place, the staff was wonderful. The food was really good and plentiful. We seen the Ballad of Cat Blue the vocals and entertainers were so good. Cant miss place, we will be back. My family and I came out last year and stumbled upon this playhouse. We fell in love with it and purposely included it in our travels this year. Flew into Casper (from Florida) and headed to Moab but sidetracked to Jackson just to attend a show here. Amazing talent and great food! We will be back next year!

Excellent performance that exceeded expectations. The Ballad of Cat Ballou played to a smaller audience with social distancing, but it didn’t impact their energy, enthusiasm, and performance. It was high energy and engaging from start to finish. Kudos to the cast. Highly recommended!

I love the Jackson Hole Playhouse. Ive been going to their plays since I was a child and every time I go it feels like home. I always laugh, sometimes cry, and always enjoy myself. Grab some friends and go check it out!

If your in Jackson Hole and need something to do for a night, I highly recommend the Jackson Hole Playhouse. I went there with some friends during late October and chose to see the Adams Family Halloween Special. I was blown away by how well thought and put together this small town play was. The actors had some of the purest voices I had ever heard and it was just an all around magnificent good time. If you chose to go I hope you have as much of a good t8me that I did.

Fantastic show and excellent food (rattle snake and pheasant sausage). The cast made us feel like family as soon as we walked in. Best time we had in Wyoming. MUST see!

Playhouse has been around forever and theyre always changing up their family friendly events. Their Adams Family Halloween show was festive, funny, full of great songs. Highly enjoyed.

Loved the lamb. Husband really enjoyed the duck. Service was excellent and the show and actors were Tony material.

From the moment you walk in you are treated with great hospitality. Felt like we were home. The Holiday show was nothing short of awesome. Services/Servers were prompt, kind and personable. The smore dessert was a bit tough to eat, but still tasty. My wife enjoyed the cocktails, and the beers were with a great pour.We will be going back, and looking to make this a family event in the future.

The show was great, Big River, but the food was lacking in comparison to years past when we have visited. We had fun but not sure if I would do the dinner before the show again. Hopefully it was just an off night for the cook staff.

This is a pleasant surprise for a small town. The talent here is incredible. Do yourself a favor and see a play while your in town.

We attended the Dinner and Show this past weekend. The entertainers were great and the food was good, but we felt we were deceived by our waiter. We were not told that we would have to pay extra for the steak dinner on the menu or dessert. We had already paid when we purchased our tickets online. Be aware of additional costs and fees! pretty pricey!

The play was excellent the actors were great but the food sucked small portions not very tasty. And also plan on dropping another hundred fifty to $200 on top of your bill for the extras.

We were not sure what to expect as most of us had never been to Jackson. From the moment dinner started,we knew it was going to be a great time. Thank you to Brian, Gigi (or GG?), and the rest of the cast for an amazing experience. Lastly, thank you to Connor!

Bought tickets to a show, credit card was processed and received an email 5 hrs before seating time stating they could not accommodate our party of 2 because the show had been sold out for months. They did refund our money but very poor customer service cancelling 5 hrs before the show. They blamed it on a marketing mishap, that’s a problem they should have taken care of.

Fair warning act two of Big River is woke! I’m not sure what we expected, but man, it gets heavy.I rated this three stars because everything here seems 50% great 50% cringe.Food: Good quality, tiny portions lots of up selling opportunities. There’s a Wendy’s down the road that’ll still be open. Really nice manager there.Drink: Do NOT drink the red wine. To give you an idea of its quality, leave a kids expired grape juice box on your car dash board during summer for two months then drink. Ahhh tasty.Snacks: You know what they charge at the movie theater? Double it.Performance: okay, this is the real bright spot, this group of performers is amazing! The acting, the singing and the piano and guitar were world class. Frequently, “Broadway” is used as a comparison, well this was better than Broadway. Broadway actors have a tendency to over accentuate their characters, it’s not realistic. (Cats not included) These actors really sold it. They didn’t oversell. I was so taken in by their performance I felt like I was there, in the moment, watching it happen in 1800 something. Finally, the set was very high quality. You can tell some real money was put into the entire effort.Speaking of money, bring a bunch, because well, it’s Jackson Hole and it’s expensive. You knew that coming here.

A great night for the entire family. I cried when he threw the chains down and sang about freedom.. excellent singing voices.. kept 9 year old rivited in her seat, asking questions later..

Weve been to a play here the last 3 years and they always have a great performance. This is a cozy theatre and you are in the thick of the production. The cast changes over the course of the summer, which keeps it fresh.

I am sitting over a recently consumed outlaw meatloaf, sadly I cannot recommend it as it boasted a variety of flavor on the written menu and came out to be rather bland.However the show must go on and that part I can endorse as I have been impressed with the shows over the years I have no doubt they will deliver a performance tonight that will be enjoyable as opposed to the dinner menu.To say the least come to the Jackson Hole Playhouse for their plays not their food.

This old fashioned playhouse in Jackson Hole has been a family tradition since I can remember. It brings a feeling of nostalgia and makes you wonder if Jackson hole was like this back in the old west times. The staff is great, friendly, and fun. The way they dress is fun too, women staff members dress as saloon girls and the men dress as saloon guys. Its like you have been taken back in time the costumes are that detailed. The dinner is pricey but its delicious. they have amazing milkshakes too. For me personally, its my favorite place in Jackson. This year my family and I saw the Unsinkable Molly Brown, and I have to say its my new favorite. Five stars for Jackson Hole Playhouse.

Excellent homespun entertainment. The singing and acting are top notch. Be ready for a non-existent fourth wall, razor sharp wit, and a perfect balance of bawdy jokes and family atmosphere.I grew up watching plays here in the 80s, and Im happy to report that the quality has only improved with time. It was good then, its great now. If youre looking for Broadway, go to New York City. But if youre looking for a show where everything is skewered while keeping to the bounds of family entertainment, this is the place.In short, if you dont laugh here, its cause youre in your coffin.

Fantastic entertainment, friendly staff, and the pre-show meal was not shabby at all! Piano player for the show was amazing, and the actors did a great job on the performance!

We had so much fun here as a family. The actors were amazing and so was the piano player. My kids said this was one of the best things we did while we were in WY and we went white water rafting, Rodeo, horseback riding and Yellow Stone! I would have given it 5 stars but they need to show their theater some love. The seats were old, torn up and uncomfortable.

Saw the Addams family play October19. We bought the reserved seats and dinner tickets. Dinner was horrible. I had some kind of pork role with black eye peas inside. Very tough, over cooked, an obvious end piece. My wife had the Beef Wellington. The beef was the same as the pork, just tougher and harder. Absolutely inedible. My daughter had the mac and cheese. Again, very bad. Macaroni was not quite cooked, very little cheese substance on it. My daughter refused to eat it. The food gets a NO star rating.The play was fun, and with second row seats, very enjoyable. The had a bit of a problem with the sound. The play gets a 4 star rating.Id go back for a play, but I would pass on the food. It was of atrocious, bottom basement quality. McDs on a plate wouldve been better.

Always a joy to see any performance here at the playhouse! Staff is always kind, performers are well rehearsed and so believable, AND the food is BOMB!

2 kids meals 2 burgers and NO SODA OR DRINKS. Just water. And we paid over $70. Overpriced. We went there last year and loved it.. this year we came back hoping for another great experiance and unfortunately it was not at all the same. My kids were super disappointed as were we. Why ruin a good thing?

We bought tickets for the show only but arrived 1.5 hours prior to show to have drinks only to find the place packed with people who paid for the dinner and show package which we wish we had done. There is a pre show at 7:30 and then you go into the showroom for the show.....THE SHOW IS AWESOME!!!!!! Everyone you saw up front at the bar and restaurant are in the play which makes it even better. Everyone is so talented and the show is just as good as any show weve seen on Broadway!! We laughed A LOT. The acting, singing and dancing was fantastic! And everyone we met was so welcoming and friendly. The show has an intermission and during this time they offer snacks at an old fashion snack bar and took orders for milkshakes. Would go back in a heart beat!

Everyone should experience the play . It is THE BEST!!!!

They hire fantastic young talent and provide a great show!The food was certainly good, but considering the high price of the dinner and show combo, it was a little cheaply made.The content of this years show was certainly PG-13 for sexual content (in my opinion, of course). If youre bringing people sensitive to that, call ahead and ask about content. I assume the show changes every year.Oh, and the pianist will BLOW YOUR MIND!! His name is Mark Johnson -- hes been doing this summer gig for a decade now.

Food was excellent and the show was cute but the seats were very shabby and bathrooms need serious updating.

We saw Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. We came thinking it would be fun, but thought the production would be cheesy and hokey. We were wrong. The actors were very fun, lively energy, great singing, and it was much funnier than I expected. All round much better than I would ever have thought.I would highly recommend seeing a show when coming into Jackson. We will definitely see a show each time we visit.
