Quite a bike climb followed by your choice of trails down. Mostly blues and single blacks. The trails are well traveled and generally well maintained. The features are naturally inspired and can be techy. Roots, rocks, drops, that kinda stuff.

Great, easy uphill-downhill trail away from major highways and noise. Refreshing views. It is a muddy trail.Update: After a few weeks, the vegetation have grown quickly and the trail is now very narrow and you have to battle to stay on the trail. I still like the hike.

Tiger mountain is one of my favorite mountain biking spots near Seattle. Be prepared for a somewhat strenuous climb to the summit, but the trails back down are worth it. There are about 35 fun trails that have been built there thanks to Evergreen Mtb Alliance. If you are a capable rider looking for an exciting fast trail, then I recommend Predator, which is a technical double black downhill trail.

Tiger Mountain trails are great! Swamp trail was a great hike. Started out on the connector to the NW timber trail then on to Rd 5500. After 2 miles took a quick left and found the Silent Swamp trail. Continued on through the snow to the Joy Ride trail up to the Inside Passage trail and down the master link back to the parking lot. Good 10 mile hike, not too hard except for the snow.

So close to the city, and still feels remote enough to get your forest fix. It is a very popular place to hike, so avoid weekends if youre looking for solitude. Be aware that folks often have their dogs off leash, despite leash laws. Check out the WTA website for hikes do to on tiger mountain.

This mountain beat our tails so bad that day, it was an amazing experience for us. We’re from Texas so we don’t know what hills and mountains are; this place was beautiful and everything we would have expected. We did get lost and ended up doing a 7hr hike that was about 16 miles. It was mentally exhausting being so tired and also having the sun go down and barely being able to see. I would come here again, but this time, with my mountain bike!

Amazing hike! I was in town for work and really wanted to get a good hike in after work. Well, I got lucky. It was definitely a great workout, but it was also so beautiful. There was an added bonus at the end, make sure you keep going, its worth it to see the paragliders! It felt very safe if youre traveling alone and had plenty of parking.

I can understand why so many tourists visit this man made waterfall. Theres an underground hydroelectric plant as well. Which Im sure is closed to the public and has been for years lol, but still

Only accessible by walking. Another public forest that the public has limited access to. Isnt it nice. No. It needed to be thinned and there were dead trees everywhere. In case the public cares about their own land. Please people care about it before it is completely destroyed by fires because of mismanagement of the government and the land. Please. Enjoy your public forest or at least take more interest in it.

This is my standard go to hike, Cable-Run on Tiger Mountain (West Tiger 3). Its a great workout in a relatively short distance and time. This particular day was bluebird weather-wise. Still some snow on the upper part of the trail but in this warm weather its melting quickly. Excellent view of Mount Si and its Haystack off to the east along with other surrounding Cascades (see pic). Thats the best view from this Trail since at the very top the trees have really grown up around it so you cant see much in the way of views. Highly recommend good sturdy boots and hiking poles particularly for the way down given how steep the trail is.

This was our first time here. We started at Highpoint and followed Tiger Mtn #3 trail to Talus rock trail. SO beautiful!!! We are pretty new to hiking out here; #3 was much steeper than weve done before. It was def a challenge, and we will be back!! Above the snowline was muddy/slippery, so we opted to finish with Talus Rock.

The mountain has six peaks in the center of the Issaquah Alps, forming a 13,500-acre (55 km2) triangle between Interstate 90 (I-90) on the north, Issaquah-Hobart Road on the southwest, and State Route 18 (SR 18) on the southeast. Immediately to the west is Squak Mountain followed by Cougar Mountain, to the southeast are Mc Donald and Taylor Mountains, and Rattlesnake Ridge.Tiger Mountain State Forest was established in 1981. In 1989, the entire Issaquah Plateau in the northwest corner was designated as a conservation area, the West Tiger Mountain Natural Resources Conservation Area, accessed by a large trailhead at Exit 20 on I-90.

The hike from High School trail to Poo Poo Point is nearly completely sheltered from direct sunlight, the forest is gorgeous and since it snakes around to the other side, you cant hear the constant roar of I-90 traffic. Its a peaceful yet rigorous hike. Not advisable without proper hiking boots due to the rocks and roots. The reward at the top is a magnificent view of the valley below and if youre lucky, youll get to see people launching paragliders from the top and watch them sail through the air right before you. Its a fabulous workout, close to town and yet definitely up in the mountains.

Other than the active logging in certain sections of the area, lots of streams, trails, serenity, peace, quiet, and seclusion. Lots of trees, Ferns, plants, birds, and other larger wildlife trails. An all around good retreat from the everyday hustle and bustle of Seattle. Recommend that you get out here and enjoy the day or weekend. Bike, hiking, and also dog friendly..

Tiger Mountain State Forest is where I always go walking or hiking. They have a short little trail for light walking (moms can even bring their strollers). Its really beautiful and the perfect trail to show tourists. Then they have lots of longer trails that keep leading into other trails. My second time to Tiger Mountain, I went back to the forest and wanted to check out the other trails to see if I could find a better, more beautiful one to show my future house guests and I saw the most amazing things. I kept continuing from one trail on to the next and i saw forest, tall thickets, beautiful streams, etc. It was the most beautiful hike Id ever been on.

Be prepared for rocks and roots. But it is under cover of trees in majority of the trails that run through the mountain. So on hot days its not as hot ️. This time I was taking the poo poo point trail. Started from snoqualmie high school. Makes it a little over 8 miles round trip. This particular trail is 80 to 90% up hill. So its definitely a challenge. But worth the view!

Great mountain biking experience. Coming off of rt 18 to the west parking lot, the lot immediately off the highway is a bit rough, but doesnt require a discovery pass. If to take the access road, the upper lot requires a pass but has a minimal compost toilets. Trails are well made, but early season sees late snow in spots, and can get a bit sloppy after rain. Trail ratings are mostly accurate, but there are a few tricky spots on the blue and green runs. Watch for hikers!
