In Texas folklore, the Loch Ness Monster or Nessie is a creature said to inhabit Turtle Head Pond in Irving. It is large in size with a long neck and one or more humps protruding from the water. Popular interest and belief in the creature has varied since it was brought to worldwide attention in 2019. Evidence of its existence can be seen in photographs of the pond.Other than the monster, I enjoy driving by the pond when I have lunch with my wife. 5/5 Stars!
I feed the pigeons. I sometimes feed the sparrows too.It gives me a sense of enormous well-being, and then Im happy for the rest of the day, safe in the knowledge there will always be a bit of my heart devoted to it.
There is a rumor that Jason Witten was out at this pond doing yoga.. I havent seen him yet.. but overall very peaceful place.
I love walking around this pond during my lunch break. It smells foul sometimes because of the drainage but you can always see a bunch of birds and turtle heads poking out.
There is much more to this pond than meets the eye. I’ve found a penny every time on my route and throw it in for good luck. I like to think the pond gives my penny back each time I visit. Or there are a lot of pennies at the bottom.
I always see a guy walking around the pond like he owns it or something.
I came here because I really wanted to see some turtles. Let me just say, it did not disappoint.
This is where i come to cry after shopping at hobby lobby.
