Irving Arts Center is being very diligent in following social distancing that is a must for public gatherings at this time.Watching live music again in Carpenter Hall was very refreshing. But I will be So Happy when we can mingle again like family that Irving is known for.
It was quick and easy to vote here. Not due to the people working, because they had on masks and were difficult to understand. I follow the arrows on the floor. Lol
I’ve seen everything here it’s amazing. I really want to do a show here.
My Best voting experience ever!
Ive only been inside the place a few times for school and because my artwork has been displayed there. Its a place where you want to go if you want to go somewhere nice and artsy, but not struggle through the mayhems of downtown Texas traffic. Its worth just walking around the sculptures that get changed every now and then.
Go inside to view the beautiful art exhibits while waiting for your concern or play to begin. Wander outside to see the fountains and beautiful sculpture works on the grounds. Many programs for both adults and children, also for talented and not so talented. Beautiful facility with lots of parking. Concerts, plays, musicals, and cultural events. Always something to do. There are art projects, and sculptures.
Great polling location.
A basic two act play concerning a mystery of the deaths of two men!We attended the Sunday matinee which, by the way, was well attended by the senior population of the area. A few younger people were there, everyone seemed to enjoy the entire production. Also in the lobby area was a showing of art works by a children’s book artist. This was extremely interesting, as they had a few of the books with the covers matching the original art works.Returning to the play, the stage and audience area is small, so you have a good view no matter where your seating may be.
Local art gallery and theater is well-maintained and offers interesting exhibits, as well as excellent musical and theatrical acts. The farmers market meets here on Saturdays as well. I saw a wonderful Route 66 exhibit here, as well as several exhibits of classic childrens book illustrators. They feature work by local student artists as well as pros. The best one Ive seen was an exhibit of photographs from the civil rights era...moving and raw, it was powerful and sad, but ultimately uplifting. Go check it out!
Attended a VIP screening of Scarred 4 Life by David Moore recently and was very impressed not only by the play which was really moving but also by the venue. All of the venue staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Everything was clean and the artwork was amazing... also the theater is the perfect size for an intimate gathering such as a VIP screening
Smaller than anticipated. Dont take A or C sections. Too loud and cant see stage easily. Got headache watching and had to leave early. Balcony straight head is better than side sections.
Clean and such a diverse art gallery. in a bit day it was nice to go and look at art from the local artists. we will definitely be back
Obviously the only fine arts center in Irving. love this cute little place though. the activities here range from Farmers markets on Saturdays in the parking lot to the amazing nutcracker production put on every Christmas to wonderful orchestral concerts. awesome!
My niece attends the ballet classes here and their first recital was Sunday. The faculty here did such a great job with the girls. My niece enjoys coming to the classes as well.
I voted there, it was a polling center
My sorority hosted an event there. The staff was excellent except for one lady who was very intrusive. She was a tall elderly woman who kept inserting herself rudely in the organizing of the event. She kept telling people what they could and could not do in regards to the program that she was not a part of. However, there was a second gentleman who was very professional. The facility was wonderful. I would recommend this place to others.
Excellent venue, intimate. The art galleries are such a great pass time while you are there
Great place to enjoy events and fantastic farmers market. Highly recommend.
This is a premier auditorium. Very good acoustics, very well laid out seating so its easy to see even for kids. Very nice facility.
Fun place, warm people
Lots of paintings. Big auditorium but old structures. We had a good time there
Nice campus with some beautiful sculptures on the grounds and of course, wonderful local artwork inside. The performing arts spaces are lovely and they seem to have a very active schedule!
Cool place. I would.like to have.my own exhibition in this center
We were here setting up an exhibit and have to complement the entire staff that we met on their dedication and results of their hard work. This is truly a place that needs to be visited.
Very Nice MLK Program!
Awesome center, they have lots of programs for children and people get married there.
Irving arts center is the venue for so many cultures living in and around Irving area. We did few dramas here and the location is perfect for these kind of activities. The staff were so friendly in providing support to make our event successful. The audio and video equipment are having the best quality. Lobby are is so spacious to have art exhibitions.
Amazing & wonderful experience for the Dr. Martin Luther King event. Great Job Irving. Thank you
The Irving Arts Center is lovely and spacious! We enjoyed the atmosphere and the art was delightful!
The place is awesome, has great works of art and they have a section of it for the kids of the town who do amazing art projects in school and they get featured there ..
Clean, comfortable facility. We were at a dance competition there.
Clean and staff super friendly & the place its beautiful
Attended a ballet in the large theater and a play, TocToc, in the smaller theater, both productions were outstanding. They have little bazzarrs set up outside the larger productions with merchandise related to the production of the evening. Concessions could be improved. The art gallery area is interesting and nice to walk through. TocToc was HILARIOUS & brilliantly cast. Prices are reasonable for an evening out and stellar for the quality of the production you get to experience. Definitely not your average community theater.
UN conference event was awesome.
Beautiful artsy place inside & out. Auditorium seating is great. View from the seats we were in was fantastic inspite of being on the extreme left side.
Its a nice place inside and out, its quiet in there so you can focus. The restroom are really clean since I think not many people go in there though its a great place.
Really nice place and if you are in school you can see your artwork at certain times
The Irving Art Center is a great place to enjoy a variety of performing arts. We have come to three shows here this fall and enjoyed everyone of them and the venue is clean, up to date and very comfortable. I order all of my tickets online and then pick them up at the will call window before the show. There are no extra fees that way, and the line always moves quickly. We are going to continue to explore the options at the Irving Events Center.
Voted,no lines
“Great Production,Great Art”In a recent visit to IAC, I enjoyed a production of Cole Porters Anything Goes. The music was great, the conductor very animated. The troupe stayed true to the original 1934 production. Dance numbers were exciting. I also visited several of the art galleries and was impressed with the presentation in all of them. This is a must-see art center.
Its a great arts center for art lovers and kids. There is a lot of activities to do for kids and adults
We were in town while the world premiere of Quanna was here. The facilities are outstanding. Every seat has a great view of the stage. Restrooms are clean. Lobby is large. Art exhibits in a nearby exhibit space were inspiring. Enjoyed our visit!
Small intimate theater with excellent productions. Last night:. Night of the Iguana.
I havent been to this place for musical or dramatic performances, but for art and archaeology/anthropology traveling exhibits its first rate. Lots of parking but a little rough, and entrance difficult to find.
The Irving Arts Center is a very wonderful theater and the nutcracker was a very successful ballet play. I was very impressed of the performance of the ballet dancers.
Went with my wife, who loves art, she really enjoyed the experience. It was nice and peaceful, a good place to relax and reflect.
Saw Witness for the Prosecution here, which was really good. The actors were great. The acoustics for this location are just okay though. Unless youre seated at the center of the auditorium, the sound can be kind of muffled. The auditorium is almost too big and open. But Ive seen a few plays here and theyve always been good. I look forward to attending more plays in the future.
Lots of great art from artists from the area, and from art competitions from the local high schools in the area.
Great theater and really good music show.
Super active programs! Something for everyone.
Great place for hosting small concerts. Located near MacArthur highschool in Irving, has ample parking. Place is old but well maintained by efficient staff.
Nice facility and very good program!
Has a delightful small museum with ever changing exibits, 2 theaters have live productions & all types of music . The grounds have several permanent artworks & a beautiful mural depicting much of the history of Irving. Well worth a visit + the museum is free.
Am very thankful that the ladies helped my daughter with the much needed information she was seeking.
I went to an event for the Alzheimers Association. Alzheimers patients participated in an art activity and their works were displayed at Irving Arts Center for the public. It was heartwarming to see their art and read the artists comments about themselves and their subject matter.
Irving Arts Center is always bringing us something different. No matter how many times you view the same Art Exhibit it is just like the Bible you find something new in it every time that was there before you just didnt notice it. The art display of the children some local Irving ISD was really fascinating to view. I like how they keep the community involved in the Arts.
Nice community venue for plays et c.
Great new Farmers Market. I purchased Watermelon Tea, Kettle Corn and homemade Strawberry Jam.2nd Irving location open Sunday:Heritage Crossing Farmers MarketClock Tower, 200 block of Main Street at Rock Island Road10 a.m. to 2 p.m., SundaysRibbon-cutting ceremony: 10 a.m. July 2
Great place for Pokestops (4) and gyms (2). Always enjoy getting the stops here.
My daughter has attended camp at the Irving Arts Center for three years now, so far this year she has been there for 3 weeks. They run all through summer and change weekly so it different so she does not get bored! She loves the staff, which are great, some of the teachers there are art teachers from the Irving ISD. I will definitely continue have her attend these awesome camps.
Great accommodations. Parking area was very good. Lighting and sound were tops
Nice presentation by Roz Chast!
This place puts on some great shows. Both fine artists and performance artist are well represented.
I find this place biased. They should concentrate more on encouraging talent instead of encouraging Nepotism
A jewel of a theatre right there in Irving. Two theatres surrounded by a beautiful art gallery!
Both theatres have great seating. Staff is very helpful.
It was very clean and a very nice place to take your kids
This is a very flexible space – there were three exhibits concurrent with a live event on my most recent visit, but I also remember when the whole thing was set up for the glorious Genghis Khan exhibition.
Always a pleasure. Well done exhibitions
Beautiful exhibition spaces and great shows!
Great place for Orchestras, Plays, Art, and more at a low cost. Highly recommend.
Beautiful place!! Premiere of my nieces movie, Beneath The Scar, awesome!!!!
Great place for summer. The play for theater camp was adorable.
This is a great place for the kids too. I love their tiny art exhibit
Went to see Mahlers Symphony #1 and the orchestra did an amazing job. It is a beautiful building also with convenient parking.
We saw a play in the Dupree Theater. I love this theater because its small and there are no bad seats. Ticket prices are reasonable and free parking.
This has beautiful theaters, and gave me a place for many wonderful performances since the time I was 2.
I went to see the bee photos. They were awesome. Just lots of them in the lobby area.
The most beautiful experience in my life
The Center has two main art display areas, one of which has mainly art soon from students while the other has art from a more established artist. The overall ambience of the art gallery is good.
Can see from all seats easily since it has a small seating area. The lobby was inviting.
Went to the symphony. It was simply amazing
I loved the childrens art
This place is great. Has lots for families. Galleries and concerts too.
Burger was burnt fries where dry.... Messed up my order an it wasnt fresh
I took my grandkids for a Christmas concert. I think they liked the art gallery better than the concert! It is a beautiful venue, with a friendly staff. Highly recommend it.
We should thank them .my kid was super happy when I took them there.i strongly recommend for parents to their kids on Saturday
