This place is well worth the stop! There are over 100 collections - pocketknives, tools, Elvis, currency, Cabbage Patch Kids, Precious Moments, war memorabilia, vintage paper dolls, SO much more, all neatly labeled and categorized. The proprietors, Jim and Nida, are knowledgeable and friendly. They have put a ton of research and work into the collections and it shows. We spent the better part of a day between the museum and the gift shop. It was time well spent.
I came looking for copper but I found gold. Thats how I can summarize my experience in one sentence. This museum is unique, very personal. What you see is only half of the experience. What you can find out about the items on display is equally (if not more) interesting. The owners spent their lives collecting different things, from military equipment to Barbie dolls. They are super friendly and once youre there, just ask them about anything. Youll not only hear a great story, but youll also find a sense of joy coming from doing things you love, together. The owners are a couple married for 59 years (I write it in 2019) and collecting is something they enjoy since the day one. Truly inspiring! The collections are highly diversified and everyone will find something they enjoy.Last but not least, theres a store with collectible items the owners personally bought. I absolutely loved it as I found things I wouldnt be able to find anywhere else. I only wish I had brought more cash with me :).I think I spent almost 3 hours in the museum (some of it even after official closing hours, but the owners were so polite they didnt even mention it) and Id really love to visit it again and discover more stories.PS. If there are any journalists out there: this is an awesome case for a documentary!
An absolutely unexpected gem. I couldnt believe what they had in there. So many items that brought back so many great memories. I also got to see so many items I have never seen and possibly will never see again. 1 of a kind place. Love the owners too.
We visited today and was blown away by the collections and displays. What made it better were the owners, the nicest people youll meet. We wish we had more time but lunch hunger cut our visit short. Your admission is for the whole day but we had too many plans and not enough time.
Lots of variety and the best ww2 collection!! Very cool
It has a lot of GREAT EXHIBITS. More than you would think it is well worth the money .
This place is absolutely the best to stop in at. The owners are so kind and funny!
Amazing couple that runs it. So much cool things to see and stuff to buy. I bought my mom a beautiful opal necklace for a great price!
So much fun! Lots of collections of all kinds of fun things! Such a wonderful couple runs it, theyre so friendly and happy. They love to tell you all about every item and where they come from. I thoroughly enjoyed the little museum.
What a surprise it was to see classic toys I grew up with and had completely forgotten about! A wonderful Collection Museum run by two extraordinary people, Jim & Nida.
Great memories lots of good info
I absolutely loved visiting this museum! There were so many collections and the wonderful couple that own it make it 1000 times better. Definitely going to visit again!
Amazing displays! Thoroughly enjoyed the brief visit. Need to go back again & spend more time.
Lots of cool stuff to look at. Friendly curators that are willing to tell you more about the items. Highly recommend for anybody in area to look at.
Great museum. A must see if youre in the area!!!
Pretty cool place to stop in and see. Nice couple runs the place and theyre very knowledgeable!
It was a fun experience! So much history. It brought back so many childhood memories!! Thanks for such a great walk through time!!
This place is a MUST. Allow plenty of time because no matter what you are expecting, you will get wrapped up in most of these collections and with the owners of the museum. They know every little piece in the museum and its history. I was not overly ambitious about giving this place a shot but then I didnt want to leave. Even if you arent a collector, you will find things from your childhood and be overwhelmed with nostalgia!!! Jim and Nida are so incredibly friendly and were happy to have met them!
Were on vacation from San Antonio Texas. My family visited this place today and we absolutely adored every minute of it! The couple that own the museum are the kindest and warmest people that we have met. They were both very knowledgeable about every item in every collection that they have in their keep. My son had an unforgettable experience!!! He will never forget the kind-hearted owner (Jim). And my daughter enjoyed every moment of conversation with Grandma Naida (I hope I spelled it correct). They made it exciting to learn about topics such as WW2, Barbie, Fossils, Disney, Old Hollywood the Civil War, trains, robots, guns... you name it, they have it! Its impossible to stump them because they have such a vast collection of everything. Overall, this museum visit was a highlight to our day thanks to their kind service and loving personalities.
There is always something new to see. The couple who run it are truely good people. The kind of people I want to be like.
Amazing selection of memorabilia. I visited once for 1.5 hrs. And need to go at least two more times to absorb most of it. The owners/collectors are knowledgeable and they both have been collecting since they were children. They somehow found each other, married and continued collecting together. Imagine this, they have been married for 58 years, so 116 yrs of collaborative collecting plus the years they collected before independently. They are both amazing people and so inspiring as is reflected in their wonderful museum.
This place is filled with anything and everything imaginable. The owners are passionate and very sweet. There are hidden drawers all over the place that adds a little fun to it and they even have a scavenger hunt for the kids. I spent hours in here just looking around, talking to the owners and reliving my childhood.
My family of 6 (boys, girls, teens, kids), had so much fun here. The owners started almost all of the collections in the museum, so they have fun stories about all the displays. They were extremely kind and generous giving my kids little gifts on the way out. The gift shop is also amazing, it has all of their collection “cast-offs” at great prices. Prices were also very reasonable. Twenty-six dollars for my family of 6 to enter the museum.
Wonderful trip down memory lane... Perfect for folks of all ages. Will visit again with family from out of the area
Jim and Nida have a very neat number of collections on display! This kid-friendly museum has plenty of toys to keep everyones attention and a great variety of Civil War, WWII, and many other historic artifacts to help you feel how things were back then.Great way to spend an afternoon or longer!
Cool plzce with a nice mix of things to see.
I always wanted to go in there my girlfriend took me in there and Ive been a couple times pretty nice place really friendly people
Such a wonderful place! The couple are very knowledgeable and friendly! We can’t wait to come back for another visit
I was honestly so pleasantly surprised. I loved the displays. The owner Nida has so many stories about everything and she was so sweet to my kids. They loved all the toys. My husband loved all the history. I loved my trip down memory lane.
Amazing collection of historic toys and other items. The barbie room is phenomenal as well as the Harry Potter and Disney collections
Have a time of things but anything with collectors in it will be expensive as this store is.
Took my kid here because of a cub scout project. Before our arrival I was thinking that this would be one of those boring places, but I was wrong. This place is pretty cool. They have so many collections that kept all of us very interested the entire time. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, a must see place!
The owners are a super gracious couple, they have something for everyone, from Barbies to Civil War memorabilia and they were so knowledgeable. Such a fun afternoon!!
My kids loved it.
This place is amazing. There is something for everyone. I personally spent 4 hours in here looking at everything and speaking with Nida and Jim (very proud, friendly, knowledgeable oeners). Everywhere you turn there is something new and they even make it fun by having drawers you can pull out with new collections. Such a great place to go either by yourself or with your family. Very glad I took the time to go while passing through.
Ida and jim are amazing people. The museum is the best museum I have ever visited I recommend it from 1 to 99
It might be small and hidden away in a semi-residential area, but it is well worth visiting. Whatever your collecting interest, it likely is on display somewhere. Each visit I find some new corner to explore and tip-toe into the past. Each fall, they have a special exhibit honoring military veterans. It is well worth the cost of admission.
I have never been in a museum like this. It is not simply a collection of things. You walk in the door and are greeted by the owners - who, in my opinion, are the greatest asset of the entire museum. They know interesting facts about EVERYTHING in the museum. As you walk around, you are crazy not to let them join you. What at first you see as mildly interesting objects, become fascinating as you hear their stories. I am usually uncomfortable being shadowed by people, but in this case, I immediately felt like family. We talked and looked and strolled through a bewildering number of collections. I had dropped in for a quick visit to see what The Collectors Corner was all about. When I looked up several hours had passed. This is a small museum, privately-owned, unassuming and TOTALLY worth visiting.
I like this little antique shop and museum. It is enough of a curiosity that it is worth the visit just to see some cool old stuff. The little old lady who runs the place is very friendly and she usually has some pretty good stories to tell.
Very interesting collections
Amazing little museum I suggest everyone should go through it, the couple who runs it are very informative and absolutely amazing.
Great place - a stroll down memory lane!
The owners are so sweet, they made going to this museum such a great experience with their kindness and their great knowledge. I will definitely take my family here sometime!
So much fun!
Very nice and so well done and displayed
Very old school wonderful couple, tons of personal attention.
I loved it, collectables from many decades, eras, and even from other countries. I even saw some items that litreally took me down on memory lane. Toys that you didnt even knew that existed. The guide from the musum was very sweet, funny, and very well educated on everything you needed to know at the museum. Also, if youre a Disney person, this is an intriguing place to go. So I must say this is a one stop you much visit in Idahofalls.
Cool place with cool stuff
We just visited this Museum for the first time, the host and hostess were extremely knowledgeable about every collection in their store, Everything was grouped by set collections, and the displays were fabulous, I will highly recommend this Museum to our friends and fellow travelers.Lee Holt/Mike Logan
