Great place to watch a movie with friends and/or family. Staff is very friendly and do their best to be and stay covid clean.
This theater used to be nice, but it has really gone down hill. The staff was rude and the entire building is disgusting. The trash in the women’s restroom was literally flowing into the floor. My brother informed me that the men’s was exactly the same. There is also a giant puddle that has been unattended for goodness only knows how long. There are plenty of great theaters in this area, don’t waste your money and time coming to this one.
I went yesterday. The staff was nice, it was clean, over all a great theater. I will definitely be making this my to go to theater.
I love the movies and I’m glad they are reopening! They do great with sanitation and keeping guests socially distant. I think the I max seats could use an upfit but I get business is tough for the movie theater industry right now. Go support your local amc !
Google doesnt allow zero stars, but thats what i would give if I could. We went to see the 40th Anniversary showing of The Shining presented by TCM. These presentations are advertised as having high-resolution digital transfers of the films, and weve seen a number of them in the past and the picture was excellent. In this case, the projected image was low-resolution and out of focus. More in line with a tv from the 1980s than a movie from 1980. I asked the manager to fix it, but after ten additional minutes, nothing had been done. We asked for our money back but because the ticket person had not printed receipts for us, they refused to refund and instead gave us four tickets to another showing at an AMC Theater. Very poor experience all the way around. I have no intent to return to that theater.
I really miss the theater experience, especially this facility. Great place for me to escape. I look forward to seeing films here again aoon.
This theater has really gone down the drain. Unmaintained facilities and an unmaintained concession stand in the back.
Best theater in town! The theater rooms are always clean and screens are clear! The seats are super comfy and their drink & food options are amazing! They have the custom Coca Cola machines and also their popcorn is always super fresh compared to other theaters in town! The staff here is always kind and professional! Highly recommend this theater!
They could stand to clean the theaters better.
I really enjoyed my experience here it was nice clean and comfortable
Its a Shame you have to wait in the concession like to buy a ticket. That was horrible. The movie was awesome though. But get it together. That was not cool. And the like was super long.
Theaters are huge! Screens are too..seating is comfortable and not to cramped..plenty of leg room if youre tall..smells like a new building even though it isnt.. Concession stand is pricey but the quality of what they are selling is good
Not to crowded clean and big seats
I love this place. The sound and picture quality cant be beat. The only thing is you cant buy alcohol and the seats arent reclining
I love this place. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because they dont have the reclining seats. The popcorn is great! Alot of other theaters taste very stale. They totally upped their game on there food. Expensive but its a theater so....
Really like this movie theater. Staff is always very friendly and nice. I like the rewards program much better from the Cinemax theater when they owned it. This one is OK, but the old ones better.
The prices were good for a matinee. The matinee times were good. Facility was clean. I didnt like having to buy tickets through a kiosk and everyone having assigned seats, this caused the top section to be completely sold and the bottom section nearly empty creating a crowded theater that was only half sold. Also created problems with people sitting in other folks seats and so on. So beware of that. Odd set of problems for a great theater.
We used to come to this theater when it was the Rave. What a downgrade it has become! All of the signs for theater and movies inside were off. Carpets and floors were dirty. Seats were just ok. The concession stand was overcrowded with people buying tickets and getting popcorn. There are better options in town and we will use them instead of coming back.
A couple weeks ago was my first time going. I saw Lion King with my daughter. Its very well maintained. It was clean and the seats were comfy. But like most movie theaters, the concession prices were outrageous. Two drinks and some popcorn should not cost $20+. No wonder Ive always snuck in my own drinks and snacks. The one time I didnt and it cost an arm and a leg. Ill definitely pass on the popcorn and drink next time.
Food was good. Theater was clean. Only compliant was lines were surprising long at concession stand for a weekday matinee. But otherwise wonderful.
Just went to take my grandson to his first movie only to find out that the showtime was a full hour later!!! Why would I show up an hour and half early with a three year old ??? Go to Hollywood 18 instead, this place has gone down the drain. The least they could do for customers is to make sure the times online are accurate.
We ordered 3 cups for the kids....they gave us courtesy cups. We go to fill them up and no kids for 3 kids...we try to speak to a manager and the only way to get the kids cup is to order the meal... extremely frustrated we paid $6 for each cup. The drink machines were pretty much all broke except 1. Its a Saturday night and it was busy. The soap dispensers were out. Trash cans were over flowing. Its 6 pm on a Saturday night. While purchasing the tickets, it wouldnt allow us to pick our own seats....when the movie started, there were empty seats EVERYWHERE. This movie theater used to be our favorite but I dont think Ill ever go back.
This theater was once the best in all of Huntsville. Now run on a bare-bones skeleton crew, this place has become shabby and under maintained. Now, instead of buying tickets at a window and going straight to your theater, you are forced to stand in the unnecessarily long concessions line where you are coerced into buying food that is priced 100x the average theater price. I miss theaters the way they used to be.
Sorry guys, but you earned this. This review is for a special two night showing with premium priced tickets.Problem one; at the advertised start time, AMC started the 30 minute countdown. We are all familiar with trailers, but 30 minutes of the audience alternately yelling and fiddling with their phones is a bit much.Problem two: AMC forgot to turn off the lights till the last 10 minutes of the movie. Watched almost the whole movie with the lights on.Seriously guys, get your act together.
Cool movie theater. Very clean. Assigned seating is cool always get the seat you want.
Awesome. The theater was clean and safe.
Great service. Comfortable seats. Though a smaller screen then others in the area. Still one of the best theatres in town, though.
Not a well run theater anymore. Lots of issues in recent visits. Almost never any humans selling tickets, and only two machines (which are out of order sometimes), resulting in long slow lines. I recommend buying your tix in advance online or getting here earlier than you normally would if you come here. In general, feels like the theater is giving up. Overflowing trash cans, floors routinely dirty, long lines for concessions, count yourself lucky if you can find a working soap dispenser in the bathroom. Signs outside the individual theaters no longer say which movie is showing inside, nor does the directional sign in the lobby. Problems are even spilling over into the screenings themselves. Saw one movie here recently where the screen was blank for 20 mins after scheduled start time, and at another the sound was way too low. Everyone was mumbling about how they couldn’t hear. Structurally the place is fine, and with some improved management could be a great theater. But currently it is far from being a great theater.
This is a good theater. My bf and I come here often to catch a show, and we always have a good time. It’s clean, has quick service, comfortable seats, and good snacks. The screenings and sound are high-quality. I wish they’d enforce the no cellphones during the movie policy more strictly, but people are always going to selfishly break the rules... in any case, I always enjoy coming here.
We had a great time! Sure, the other theaters have the fancy reclining seats, but we didnt miss them. We like the Coke (not Pepsi) machine where you can pick your own flavors. Display and sound were great. Staff was friendly. No complaints.
We got our tickets quickly. Free refills on drinks. I also noticed that they had booster seats for the kids which is great because my daughter is not heavy enough to keep the seat down so it always folds up on her.
This is a great theater. They have the ability to play lots of different movies so if you want to see it theres a good chance its here. They also have the option for IMAX. Its a rather large theater as well so you dont feel cramped or like you have to be on top of people. I ordered their chicken fingers and was pleasantly surprised. A little overpriced but what theater food isnt? The only potential downside is that it feels a little dated. In my opinion it just adds charm and character but I could see how some people would think otherwise.
We went early in the day. On Wednesday March 4th. Around noon. The crew was small and unenthused. Thats alright, I guess. I was their age once. But the reason I rated so low is because the womens bathroom was filthy, the last one didnt lock, the toilet splashes a little when it flushes, the soap dispensers were all empty but 2. The only paper towel IIRC, was the dispenser above the trash. The place is not like I remember it years ago. But being in a nice part of towne, I expected more >:(.Shame!
Liked the theater. BUT WHEN A BAG OF POPCORN COSTS MORE THAN THE SEAT YOUR SITTING IN, THATS RIDICULOUS! I can see half of admission. Lets get real.
Dirty floors with spilled drinks, broken seats, and under staff. This place was much better back when it was the Rave theater. AMC, this is why no one goes to the theater anymore.
I love this theater. Now keep in mind that I grew up in Memphis and the theaters there arent exactly the best....
My favorite movie theater. I do believe they have the best popcorn of all the theaters. Plenty of space, nice staff also.
I liked the atmosphere. Ok seating. It was a little dirty (popcorn).
I went to Valley Bend 18 with my sons on Christmas break. I like that you can refill your own drinks. It saves you waiting in the long concession lines. The bathrooms were dirty and the chairs need to be updated. It is not comfortable. Other then those things it was ok
Clean and has good movie selection. The popcorn and drinks are priced outrageously but all movie theaters are.
This used to be a wonderful theater, but it has really gotten aweful. The place is dirty, the employees look at you like your bothering them and nothing works in this place.
Love this place.
In womens room, theres a homeless looking man, hanging out in his briefs and talking to himself... scared me and the kids... we looked around for ANYONE that worked there to help... didnt find a single soul... we left out of fear... will be calling corporate AMC for a refund
The seats arent like the huge new ones, but Ive enjoyed their varied selection. The only thing I can REALLY complain about is the consistently stale tasting popcorn.
Maybe it was an off night? I took my family of 5 and spent over $70 to get tickets and concessions. I dont mind paying if the value is there. 1. The ticket dispenser was out of paper so we had to get tickets at concessions. No big deal. 2. The printed tickets were torn into multiple pieces when handed to us from this printer. 3. The butter dispensers were out of butter. 4. The coke dispenser was out of several products, including the one I wanted. 5. All of the large lids were out on both sides. 6. There was trash everywhere, piled up in the trash cans. 7. The mens room was completely out of paper towels. 8. The lit displays showing which movie was in each auditorium was off or broken. I dont typically go over board with complaints, but this was absolutely ridiculous.
Had a wonderful time with my family going to see the movie about BTS... The K-pop boy band! My twelve-year-old niece was in heaven so therefore we were all in heaven looking forward to more shows like this
Although I have never had trouble seeing a movie here it has really taken a nosedive since AMC took over. Under staffed, filthy restrooms, overflowing garbage, and most of the lights are out in the lobby. It feels like a dollar theater when you walk through the front door. One star for being close to home.
AMC needs to straighten out. The lobby was dark with no movie on the big screen over concession stand, there was no listing of what movie is in what theatre in the lobby, the individual theatres didn’t have a sign that said what was playing in them. One drink machine was broken the other out of ice. Got in theatre and there was trash everywhere. After movie, the trash outside of the individual theatre was full and overflowing. Made our way to restroom and was hard to find a sink that had both a faucet and soap that worked at the same place, not one paper towel and the overall appearance was trashed. Overall the theatre looked worn down and dull. Not impressed, we pay too much for movies for this.
Nasty! No paper towels in the restrooms, not one person taking tickets, not one person cleaning. No security inside. Over priced food and drinks. When we left we did not see one worker in the whole building. Who runs this place???
Waiting to purchase tickets when VIP were treated as first class. All customers should be treated the same!
Love this theater come here at least once a week. The A-list membership is just a great value for all the movies alone but adding in the other benefits such as priority lane and rewards. I spend maybe 11 buck on a large drink and a large popcorn usually less with my rewards.
Its a nice theater, in a good location. The screens and sound are also really good. That is about it though. The seats are way outdated. You can drive an extra 15 minutes to get reclining seats. And for less money.
My favorite theater to come to! I live about an hour away and it’s worth the drive. The staff are friendly and the sound quality is astounding. I would definitely recommend that if you go to an AMC theater a lot, do yourself a favor and become a AMC Stubs member. It’ll lower the price of tickets, food and drinks and it’ll save you time because of the long lines at the snack bar. Definitely would recommend.
So we brought some water bottles in. There were two employees checking our tickets. The one scanning was cheerful and let us by, but the other told us very abruptly that we weren’t allowed to bring in outside products like that. We asked why, he said “company policy”. Okay.We kind of wandered off to the side for a second, and the guy followed and told us again that we weren’t allowed to bring those in. Several of my friends got mad and started asking if they were allowed to do that. He went and got the manager, who only came out to tell us it was company-wide policy for AMC. No other explanation, no courtesy. We asked if we were allowed to bring in empty bottles? Same answer. We could order water at the counter. The girl at the counter was sweet, but she could only give us small “courtesy cups”. We then took those cups, filled them up with water from our bottles outside (because the machines at the theater are kind of gross), and took them into our theater. Not really sure why you’re allowed to bring an empty water bottle into an airport with major security, yet not into a regular movie theater. Kind of feels like a grab for money, but okay.
This theater was once my favorite movie place, but the services has went down drastically. Bathrooms were filty, no greeters to take your tickets, no one to give directions to the movie. Machines should never replace People. Theres value in customer service.
If youre into first run movies you cant beat the a list at AMC. $20 for 3 movies a week no restrictions (except for special engagements). The theater is clean and staffed. The IMAX is a good experience and a bargain on the a list.Theater 11 has a bad light on the left side of the auditorium its bright the entire time regardless of the other lights
Tried to find last minute tickets to Lion King today, its opening weekend, and this was the only theatre in town not sold out. Once we got there we quickly found out why. The parking lot and in front of the theatre had trash everywhere, the tickets were more expensive than any other theatre in town, and the experience just lacked the amenities of the other options in town. Ownership needs to reevaluate their business plan or they will continue to lose market share.
Little dirty when we went in. I wish they had reclining seats. But the sound and picture is awesome.
I will be giving my business to Regal Theater. They have a box office where you can purchase a tucket.
Clean theater rooms, comfortable chairs with armrests that lift up, and friendly staff.
Great seats and great movies. All the theaters have goo screens and comfortable seats. Concessions are good, could have a few more clerks up front to help with the crowd. Have went to it for years, and will continue to go for years to come.
Comfortable chairs, booming sound system, comfortable climate control. It just has a good atmosphere. Even the Architecture is inviting.
Compared to the other movie theaters in town, the seats and screens are not as quality. The discounts arent as good and concessions are of course very expensive. They do have a good selection of movies at all time and reserved seats.
Went around 4:30 & theater was very clean. Saw Judy. Was good. But the volume was way too loud.
No issues. The sound quality was good without being too loud. The chairs could be a bit more comfortable but it was okay for a two hour movie.
I recieved terrible customer service and wont be going back. The theater dispenses promotional tickets and then declines to honor them, presumably a cash-grab move to lure people in and hope theyll just pay for the ticket regardless. I went to Bridge Street and paid less for a reclining seat and an overall better experience instead. I even went on a Monday at 10AM, partially so that the theater wouldnt be denied a paying customer on a big opening weekend. But even with a nearly empty lobby they refuse to honor their own promotional giveaways.
Nasty restrooms, double the cost of Touchstar cinema, and the seats are not nice like Touchstar cinema. And memberships are not worth the $20 a month.
Pretty comfy seats! They should open the other concession stands and alleviate some of the lines at the front. Definitely get the app!
Most disorganized disaster of a business. Suggest they hire efficiency experts to fix their processes. Checking in getting tickets a disaster, popcorn line on one side, purchase of food and drinks on another. Staff standing around talking to each other then disappearing while lines grew longer and movies were starting. House lights were all the way up thru previews and as film started finally shut off. Kids behind us kicking backs of seats and then dumped ENTIRE giant soda on floor. It flooded the floor under and in front of my seat. No towels or mop, just change seats, was the customer service staffs suggestion when I went to their office. Lights went out after I told them they were still on.We got tickets on Groupon. I would have demanded a refund had I pain full price. To top it off, everyone with me ate lots of food, candy and drinks. They all woke in middle of night puking their guts out. The people handling popcorn didnt have gloves on and I assume they got sick from that...Discounted tickets wont pull me back there. Hire a real manager, train your folks, improve your processes.
Bathrooms were nasty and inside the theater was very clean either. The prices are way to high. The nicer theater across town is way better and their prices are better. Will not come here again!!!
It let me reserve seats that didnt exist 10 and 11 one of them was an empty spot apparently for a wheelchair but it didnt say that And let me reserve it. We almost missed the beginning of the show but the staff was very nice getting us in. It was the Premier of Downton Abbey and the website when I reserved it also said we were supposed to get a snow globe.
The past few times I have been to this theater there have been long lines to buy tickets at the concessions stand and the one self serve kiosk that is working. The ticket taker does not have a scanner for codes on phones so everyone has to wait in a long line. This needs to be improved.
Today was good..hit up the imax which Ive been disappointed in the past few times for very low volume in an imax theater which is suppose to be loud to add to the experience of going to an imax screen but today they had it right..so good job and keep it that way..but otherwise a great theater tucked away in a beautiful part of Huntsville...
Hey! Love this theater! Can you guys show everybodys everything?
Very nice theater. Staff very welcoming. Screens are very big and clear, and the audio superb. Bathroom could be better managed and maintained.
The experience was very nice. Greta movie also.
Pretty mediocre experience. Chairs are very meh. Overall viewing isnt bad. But nothing that stands out about this theater. You can at least see a movie but many people who come to this theater are rude and use their phones throughout the movie. Not much the company can do about that but just know that going into this theater youre likely to have an already mediocre experience ruined by other people.
This is the worst! They dont have the box office open to buy tickets. You have to wait in the concession line while people get food and take forever or stand at the kiosk where you will be behind someone who has never used a computer. Beyond aggravating and no customer service or care ar all. I will never come here again.
Very poor customer service. I’ve been giving this place the benefit of the doubt for awhile now but no more. With a superior theater that charges less just across town, you’d think they’d try harder where they can to keep customers.m, but no such luck. Don’t bother.
My go to theater. Clean, modern and never any issues
Very high quality cinematic experience! Comfortable and spacious seats, state of the art projection and sound systems. The south is courteous and friendly. Concessions are expensive as in any theater, but high quality. I definitely recommend seeing your film selection here.
Had a great time at this theater. The popcorn and icees were perfect. I love being able to pick my seat beforehand. And the chairs are some of the best ive sat in.
I like this theater. Matinee time was cheap and easy. The only downside are the seats. They are comfortable but at the same time they arent. Lol
Staff was quite friendly and the theater was clean and well maintained, so all in all it was an enjoyable experience.
Many different movie choices. Great seating.
Very nice place. Never paid so much for water though!
The employees here are very friendly! The popcorn is fresh and you add your own butter! What I like best, is that flavored water, sparkling water, and plain water can be obtained from the beverage dispensing machine, so I could get a large cup, ice and water at a relatively reasonable price (which I prefer over buying their bottled water and getting a small cup of ice)!
Great service. Clean theaters.
Wonderful experience! The theatre was clean and well kept and the staff were pleasant and informative. Ill be back again soon, possibly as an amc Stubbs member! (Just in case you are curious, we saw It chapter 2 and it was Ah-mayyy-ziiiinngg!)
Good place to see movies and have popcorn
The floor popcorn was absolutely exquisite, 5 stars.
Best theater in town as far as screen and audio quality. Other theaters may have better seats and food but for pure movie going experience the Imax here is the best in the area - the best.Weekdays are a good time to go. The crowds are thinned out then. Very busy on the weekends.
Well they played sad music over nearly the first part of Captain Marvel, then it took forever for it to replay. Second, something randomly flew across the room(no it was not a person who did it) so yea I would like to know what that was. Anyways it is nice
When there are no issues, the theater is fine. However, I was at the 10pm Thursday night opening of Thor: Ragnarok in November 2017, and the lights stayed on during the movie until my buddy had to leave and tell a staff member to turn the lights off, then the lights came back on with over 3 minutes left in the movie. One time is fine, but it happened AGAIN last night for the 10pm Thursday night premiere of Captain Marvel... The lights stayed on, and the final frame of a Chevrolet ad was superimposed over the image (second projector?) until, once again, we had to alert the staff. Nobody checks the status of the movies and it ruins meaningful moments of these movies (Captain Marvel had an amazing Marvel Studios fanfare that was ruined). My friends and I will begin watching imax movies in my hometown of Memphis instead of me visiting them in Huntsville.
The ticket person was very rude, I asked about the $5 Tuesday movies and she said you needed a upgraded movie membership for an additional cost. If it says $5 Tuesday movies then it should be that no questions asked. The agents do not seem to care about the customers, my visit was disappointing but I saw the movie today, but may go elsewhere.
Great....but no candy after movie started.....dragg
The popcorn and drink sizes were very large and the theatre itself was ok like almost a four out of five would probably go back if invited to with friends.
Back when this was the Rave it used to be so nice. Now thats its changed hands a few times it has definitely went downhill. 4.50 for a bottle of water. I said can I just get a cup then for water well thats 6 dollars. No security anymore no police. I wont be coming back at all.
We had a fantastic experience here. The prices are a bit high, but this is to be expected at a higher end movie theatre. The seating is great and the chairs lean back a bit for comfort. The screens are nice and big with good quality definition and sound. The facility and bathrooms are also kept clean and well stalked.
