Yes, there are things that need to improve on, but now that we have an amazing manager here, I have no doubt in her abilities to bring everything back up to what it once was. I have lived here since 2010, and have encountered many wrong people for the job as management, excluding our manager now. As for also taking pride in the community: its not just up to management to do that. We as residents have to uphold our part too. Sometimes its really hard with busy schedules, and I get that. Management now is doing all they can to change this place back into a beautiful place to live.

The neighborhood has definitely improved from previous years but the prices seem unreasonably high and the house are all kind of just crammed in. Theres little to no space between houses. $375/month for lot rent, $18/month for trash, plus whatever your water and electric bills are.

Our first meeting at the property with Amanda went pretty good. We viewed three properties, chose the one that best benefited our needs and proceeded off to doing paperwork. Amanda pulled our credit and even gave us an amount right around $1300.00 to move in. The next day we returned to bring copies of needed material and we were greeted by the office manager Ellie and she was rude and distant from the jump. She had no customer service skills and answered her phone with a full blown attitude. We knew right then that things were taking a turn for the worst. They had us jump through all kinds of hoops in asking for tax returns and once I voiced my opinion about the situation Ellie called pretending to make nice. Then she proceeds to tell us were approved with a double deposit totaling $2100.00 in which Amanda never even mentioned the possibility of there being a double deposit. In my opinion the entire office needs retraining since they cant seem to be on the same page, which makes them both look like liars. Amanda needs to not speak prematurely on prices better yet she should disclose all of the possibilities instead of sugar coating things and Ellie needs to learn some customer service skills. Luckily this Saturday which was to be our move in date resulted in us finding a 3 bedroom 3 full bath which only cost us $1100 to move in... first and last months rent. Our terrible experience with Tanglewood turned out to be a huge blessing. Beware of them they are big liars!

I’ve been here for 5 years so far. I know some of the residents here have been here for 25 or more years. Everyone here treats everyone else with respect. And everyone looks out for one another. There is always that bad or few bad apples that come and go. That’s including managers, now ex-managers. We had a few issues with the recent manager. This past year the pool got bad enough that the I was waiting for Turtle Man to come out with a snapping turtle. It never happened though. Like I said it was the last manager who was only here for a short period of time. I think his name was Kory Russell. Anyway, that was the bad egg. Aside from that, Amber, who I’m told is now the manager again was the manager before Kory, it’s nice that YES communities decided to bring her back. I’m so excited!!!

I used to manage this community and while the potential for a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood exists there, and the management company, Yes Communities, is an awesome company in many respective ways, the regional management abandons the community to the point where I’ve been there a few times visiting a friend that lives in Tanglewood and the grass looks like it hasn’t been cut since July, there is no pride or care in looking at the homes individually. There has been a brand new solitaire home (one of several that were delivered at the end of my employment) that is still sitting on the lot with no skirting or initial improvements. It is very clear that while Amber, the Sales/Leasing Agent was always the best at customer service and taking pride in her job cannot be held responsible for this as an official manager to date has yet to even be hired to replace me as the Community Manager, it comes down to what I witnessed as part got the management team during my employment that the regional management shows no concern for the tenants and residents of Tanglewood. There are several violations that the property has regarding withholding more than necessary deposits on move outs, the former tenants are not receiving deposits back within 30 days as stated by Texas law with TDCHA, and having no onsite dedicated management, the neighborhood shows no care for violations in the guidelines for living (Yes Communites form for rules and restrictions living in the neighborhood). Regional management would always critique negatively on the property but would not allow certain important matters to be taken care of. Overall, if Yes Communities and the COO, Karen Hamilton, knew how regional management was treating or lack of treating this community that could have so much to offer, it would not be in the undesirable state it is in now. I am full disclosure a former Community Manager, with no ill intentions as to my review, but the truth of what the regional TXH management team is doing and has been doing needs to be investigated, for the community residents sake. There is a reason that the turnover rate has been so high with the current Regional Manager, Monroe Hogart, it should be something that sends a red flag to corporate if they have been unaware of the status of what I have stated here. I wrote this review 4 months after leaving the community and have family and friends that reside there still and all of them keep telling me to date how much Tanglewood is being neglected and it shows just visiting. Thank you

I lived in Huntsville for 6 years and moved every single year because I was never satisfied with the apartments. My last year in Huntsville I stumbled across Tanglewood and I wish I would have found it sooner. I loved this community! It was always so quiet and I always felt safe. I lived alone in a 1 bedroom so safety was definitely important. The management is always helpful and the community is always kept clean. I would recommend Tanglewood to anyone I know.

This is a mobile home park. The homes are placed far enough apart so that they each have room for a parked car and a platform for a front porch. There are no sidewalks. The neighborhood is relatively quiet until dark and reflects an average East Texas mentality. Some neighbors are nosey while others peep from behind drawn window blinds. Dont worry too much about neighborhood theft...if you want to keep something just bring it indoors. Lock your parked car and keep an eye on your children. Like I said... typical East Texas.

If you are a family they charge $80 for an application fee! A criminal background check and credit check you can get on line for about $20 per person they are scamming people this way so the office workers can go out to eat free lunch for free and have free coffee. They place looks clean and well kept but after speaking to some residents the homes are roach infested and not very well maintained. Dont waste your $80 application fee if you are a couple looking for a quite neighborhood this isnt the place, its a scam & they can turn you down for a credit score of 608 which isnt good but not bad either & thats $80 youve thrown out the window. Let the collage kids who like to stay up all night and party and keep people up till all hours of the night have their so called quite community. Its a joke.

We went to their office in March and May this year and both times left all our information, what were looking for, and price range. We were told that were put on waiting list and that wed get a call as soon as anything comes up. We were even told that there was a specific home that were first in line for and as soon as the residents move out and its ready to tour, well get a call. We never received a single call. We saw 2 other homes in their community that looked perfect for us online through Trulia and immediately went to their office again, but apparently they were gone, without even a call to let us know that they had became available. I went by their office again today and was told that nothing we want are left, apparently theres no such thing as a waiting list, and even the place that we were first in line for is gone. So they pretty much flat out lied to us in our face. I am very, very disappointed.
