All of the coaches are very patient with and sweet to all the kids. I really appreciate how the coaches help each other out with their groups.

I am updating my review of AFF. Unfortunately, this year has not been the best experience with AFF. The staff are nice and friendly, but my disappointment has turned to the quality of instruction and lack of progress of the boys gymnastics class. I feel like the boys gymnastics group has declined a great deal over the last year they are not mastering or learning new skills - just repeating the same thing over and over. I feel like the coach spends so much time trying to get some of the boys to behave and follow instructions that not much gymnastics is happening. The last class my son attended was in late January - their regular coach was absent and the sub-coach basically let all the kids run around and do whatever they wanted. Which might be fine if I felt like they were working hard on their skills in the other sessions. My son has been going to AFF for almost two years now, and has started leaving each session very disappointed and upset at the behavior issues with other class participants. These issues dont seem to be communicated with parents, and since the coaches do not speak with parents before or after class there are no open lines of communication. Sadly, my kiddo will not be back. We really want to love AFF, and would go back if there were some improvements in the curriculum on the boys side. Maybe something slightly more competitive would be better for our expectations. PS - the girls seem to be doing great!______________________________________We LOVE it! AFF is a great place to get your kiddo started in gymnastics. They have lots of options for classes - tumbling, boy/girls gymnastics, and ninja warrior classes. They are a non-competitive organization - which is exactly what I wanted for my son. He loves his coach, and has lots of fun in class.
