Blacktide tattoo co. Has done most of my body art to date. Im thrilled with everything Ive had done. Every time I would go in with a vague vision of what I wanted, and leave with a beautiful work of art better than I could imagine. My sunflowers and luna moth tattoo was an incorporation piece of an old tattoo. And the boa constrictor is an amazing cover up. I recommend blacktide to everyone.

I have 17 tattoos, but for whatever reason I’ve always been too scared to get my nose pierced. Tristan did a septum piercing yesterday and had to deal with me being a bit of a baby about it, but he was so kind and friendly! I’m so happy he was patient with me and didn’t give me a hard time. I’ve had some bad experiences at other local shops before. Definitely recommending this place to friends looking for friendly service and a clean establishment!

My 1st encounter was frustrating! We called in advance, arrived and no one was at the shop. On my next visit I was pleasantly surprised! The Gentleman I spoke with was informative and kind!

Went in to get my lobes pierced, Tristan was very professional and did a great job! It didn’t hurt very much and he gave me plenty of instructions on how to care for the piercing. Would highly recommend!

He did a great job at interpreting our feeble attempts to explain what we each wanted, and was able to produce some awesome tattoos for both of us. This is a great shop! Got my full sleeve done here and Erik was professional and knew his trade. I gave him some ideas and he brought them to life in an amazing way. I came in to get my 2nd nose and ear pierced, my 11 year old daughter got both her 2nd ear piercing, my sister and mother in law all got two more piercings and it went great! Tristan was chill, professional, sanitary and made everyone feel at ease. The location has a great feel to it and the staff is always friendly. Highly recommend and will come back for more.

My daughter came here today to get a septum piercing . Judging by their reviews she thought this would be the perfect place to go but boy was she wrong. Tristen almost destroyed her nose! He was careless and hurt her really bad. She’s bleeding and in terrible pain. I hope she doesn’t get an infection. I guess they provide good service to some and horrible service to others. I just wish I could have been with her because I would have known right away Black Tide was not the place for her.

My friend and I went into Blacktide as walk-ins recently. Luckily for us, it was a game day, so Craig was able to get to us in immediately. We both just wanted a simple, script tattoo. And he helped us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. His work was beautiful! He was very quick and efficient. I would definitely go back for future ink.

Got my septum pierced here, the piercing artist was very friendly and put me at ease. The atmosphere was positive and fun, everything was very clean and neat. The piercing process was simple and effective, I got the impression he really knew what he was doing and I had no doubts about the quality of his work. Very happy with how it turned out!

Friendly. Came in with no appointment and they happily took care of me right then and there. They were thorough and made sure that I knew what they were doing at every step. I have a lot of piercings and tattoos and they could see that, it didnt change the level of professionalism and attention to details. Having a vertical labret you have to make sure its centered and in the places you want on your lip. They worked to make sure that it was even and accommodated my preference for setting. Would recommend for future work. Got to see some of the drawings they were working on at their work table and it looks like they do some amazing and detailed tattoo work if the sketches are any indication.

Me and my wife have been here twice now for piercings and have had an amazing expierance. Tristan is very good with customers and the wait is never terrible. Will go here for as long as they are open and he works there for piercings.

I saw Erik for my first tattoo, and it was the best experience I could have imagined. Hes incredibly thoughtful and detailed, and he really made me feel comfortable. I was super picky and nervous about everything, but he communicated everything well and was really kind through the whole process. Id recommend him to all of my friends!

Since we are from out of state we searched hard for a new tattoo place to use. Craig took my husband and I as walk ins. He did a great job! The shop has a cool vibe and everyone was really chill and welcoming. Will definitely be back for more work! Thanks guys

The tattoo artist said he “ doesn’t do color on colored skin”. That’s crazy any other professional tattoo artist do and I’m not even dark !

They make you feel comfortable and the establishment is so clean. If I wanted more piercings I would come here no questions asked.

Best shop Ive ever been to. The staff is talented, easy to work with, and the facility is clean. They can be booked out for a while, but thats a trade off for artistry. I wont go anywhere else.

I’ve had 95% of my tattoos done here with everyone in the shop doing some part of them. Can’t say enough about how great these artists are. Clean and comfortable areas, great attitudes, and a relaxing experience.

Stopped in Saturday morning & spoke with Craig Smith, told him what I wanted. He drew up a picture that was just what I had in mind, & then some. The finished art was fantastic! Extremely pleased with his work. Shop was clean & lots of designs on display. Didn’t take all day & reasonable prices. Absolutely recommend Blacktide & especially Craig.

First off, Eric is awesome. Always nice every time. My GF loved this tattoo shop, and it was the one she always recommended to her friends and family. However on her last visit, Craig was extremely rude to her sister and her to the point where she just left the shop. She no longer goes here anymore because she felt like they dont care about the customers anymore.

This is such an awesome place!! Everybody in there was friendly. All staff members were super nice. Tristan did my tattoo for me and he did such a great job. I love it very much!!

I’ve got a whole sleeve done by Jesse, multiple buddies of mine and even my own clients have gotten work done from Craig and Erik. Light handed and patient. This is an amazing shop. Eric, Jesse, Craig, and Tristan are amazing artists. They are very professional, super friendly, and personable. The shop is incredibly clean and sanitary, just watch out for the samari sword.

I got with Erik for a highly personalized piece and he created the perfect tattoo, Ive received several compliments on it.I have since moved to Birmingham, but I will make the drive to Huntsville for all my future tattoo needs.Also a great spot for piercings... got my industrial redone quickly and painlessly.
