Expected more booths/shops to be open on a Saturday afternoon. Really disappointing since wed brought out of town guests to find unique items. Not sure well ever go back since as this is the second time its been like this. Christmas is in 5 weekss so youd think theyd want to make some money. Best part about the trip was the nice gentleman running the elevator.

It has the potential of being a great place to visit. I was there during the Corona times, so most of the booths were closed. But I think its worth checking out.

This is a fun place to walk around. I really like the tea shop. The guitar shop was neat to visit, also. A lot of the art is not my style and some of it I cannot imagine having in my house (like the painting of the tampon on a bright pink background), but there is also some really cool stuff. Overall, a fun and eclectic experience nut one I only need occassionally.

Important epicenter of art for the greater huntsville community. Has grown tenfold since its humble beginnings as mostly a venue for local obscure bands and makers, as well as photographers in the early days with just a few anchored shops. Now has studios on every floor, restaurants, a community garden, shops, concerts, classes, all kinds of really awesome stuff and people under one roof. Cultural jewel of Huntsville.

Housed in an old mill facility, Lowe Mill is the countrys largest privately owned arts center. Artists of all genres have studios here and on Saturdays, the Artist Market is set up for one-time sellers to hawk their wares. The creaky wood floors hint at the buildings age while modern art remind visitors of our space program ties. Its a great place to visit on Saturdays to roam and shop.

I went during comic con, but apart from the event vendors, the regular shop vendors have a ton of things to offer. The chocolate shop has amazing flavors, and there are several food places that looked delicious. We also swung by several art shops which had a lot of interesting items, and picked up some miniatures. There are several studios that offer electronic camps/lessons and art lessons, theres even a cigar guitar class.Tl;dr; go check this place out, youll probably find something you like.

Well, there are some quaint places that individually do specific foods, desserts, cafe stuff right, but overall theres something not quite aligned with the hype.. For certain, all the prices are more than a bit high. And its not their fault, but Ive never been there when its hopping with excitement. I like the buildings and the ambience, but maybe things pick up and it takes on a new character during special events. I havent made it there for that yet, and maybe that will change my mind.

There is absolutely something for everyone here, from one of kind art pieces, to classes, to chocolates, whiskey, ice cream, coffee, sandwiches and painted pieces for your favorite boardgame. Each time I am here I find a new corner to explore, a new food truck to enjoy or a new tea from the tea shop. I cannot wait for my next visit. If you happen here make sure you check out their live schedule because sometimes there are bands playing, or maybe a poet or two. I fell in love with Lowe the first time I visited it. I sold my baked goods at the Flying Monkey Arts gig on Saturday’s. I no longer live in HSV but the 4 years I lived there we always spent time at the Mill. I’ve heard that Lowe Mill is home to the largest arts facility in the US. Go Huntsville! The swing dancing in the theater was always the cat’s pajamas! Piper Leaf provides the best tea by far! You can buy a mason jar and get your tea it every time you visit Piper Leaf. There is so much to do... concerts on the dock... good eats...beautiful artwork...cool studios... funky shops. I can go on but it’s best if y’all check it out y’all selves. A bit out of the way, but a trip worth noting for artists or someone looking to burn an hour or two. Theres a decent amount of parking, so no worries about mile-long hikes. Despite the rustic conditions, and an odd bat-related smell in one of the stairwells (as noted on a painted wall acknowledging the offending smell) the experience was an enjoyable one. On each floor, the halls are lined with studios for independent artists, each as unique as a fingerprint. Would happily return for the art and the wide range of food ranging from tea to shaorma.

I loved this place for years, so it was the perfect place for me to want to have my prom pictures taken. Except I heard rumors that they would be charging people and extortionate amount just to let us in to take pictures with an iPhone. I thought this was crazy so I called the night before prom to confirm and they said yes they would be charging $15 per person to be allowed in for pictures, I even stated clearly that we just wanted pics with a phone not a real photographer and still they said we would have to have buy the pass. Which is ridiculous when on any other day the place is free to enter. Prom alone already cost so much I couldn’t afford to pay $45 just for me and my date and his mom to take pictures of us with her cell phone. The day of prom it poured rain so I ended up not having any pictures at all since everywhere else in town is outdoors, while the group we had intended to take pictures somewhere else with ended up going to Lowe mill and nobody made them pay for a thing. I was completely put off and I’ll never be able to go back and enjoy it the same again.
