I visited Murdy Park and Community Center. I had a good time. I loved seeing various waterfowl species, a bird of prey species, and some turtles by the water. I also loved seeing the changing leaf colors of the trees. I love that this park is dog friendly.

It hurts me to know we are just covering all the good memories and fields we have in this fine city. I grew up in this country and I remember about 40 or 50 other boys running our hearts out on this field to try to make try outs for the Huntington Beach dolphins. And now there taking the memories and totally building over them. Why do we need more courts and more building that will eventually fall one way or another. Trees never grow ugly like man made materials. This park was beautiful the way it was.Kids need fields to run and play what ever games or sports they choose. Not ones our parents or society wants.

Great family park. There are many fields used for baseball or football. There are 4 full courts for basketball an ok childs play area...could use an update. The community center anchors the park with various classes for kids and adults. Very convenient location close to All your needs.

This community center was closed when I was here but Im not sure if it was because of after hours or if its due to coping. But the park is very nice, there are a lot of activities that people can do here like a skateboard park. Murdys skate park is really cool but its very small and its hard to skate unless youre pretty good, but its great to see the kids out there having a good time. Im really happy that Huntington Beach has this little skate park. also there are tennis courts in the back and basketball courts. It really looks nice for our community to have available to us. It looks like they also had several shuffleboard courts, but Im not exactly sure if these were shuffleboard or Dachshund racing chords, lol.

This park is huge! It has a community center the provides classes, basketball courts with lights, softball/ baseball fields, tennis courts, playground, and is currently under construction to add a proper well light soccer field! Plenty of free parking, dog friendly, and public restrooms!

This is a fantastic community center in Huntington Beach. Murdy Park and community Center offer a great blend of free and paid things to do. Free: soccer on the grass, playground for the kids, basketball, tennis, softball fields, game room, and even a small skatepark in the far corner! Paid classes: daycare, dance, karate, art, music, sports lessons, and more! All these things add up to make murdy Park and community Center a great place to come for activities.

This is a nice picnic park with a playground for the kids. Foam around the equipment makes it safer for children.Lots of tables with convenient trash bins.

Grew up playing basketball every Saturday here and wouldn’t trade it for the world, my favorite park by far

A large, well-established neighborhood park with tennis, basketball and baseball facilities, as well as a skate park. There are homeless folks, sometimes, sleeping in the bushes or under the pavilion cover where there are tables for picnics. Overall, the park is safe well-lit, and clean, as long as one remains alert. Theres ample parking and bathrooms in the community center. Nice park for kids birthdays, since there is a playground, as well.

Always fun here. Grew up going to this park. Most of the play equipment is updated. I would suggest being careful taking barefoot kids...the sand wasnt the cleanest.

Cool park for kids to play on the playground, basketball courts, tennis courts and 2 ball fields. Plenty of parking. And a clean community Center.

Needs some updating for the kids park area. Sections of the grassy area in and off the baseball field has homeless people camping out. The bathrooms have no soap.

Even with the park picknic table area being under construction (Summer 2019) there is lots to enjoy for kids and adults. I once saw a skateboarding dog. Magical

I used to love taking my daughters to this park. Unfortunately all you see is people drinking by the benches near the playground. People are always taking stuff out of the sand that should not be there! I would just like to see this park be what it used to be. The benches smell like pee at times.

Great community activity center! Quite large and well used and maintained! A positive aspect of living in Huntington Beach!

Very unclean, trash and items in sand by swingset. Nothing surprises me about this park, day or nite.

They are building Bocce courts, state of the art. Cant wait to play on them.

This is what a park should be. Amenities for all; softball fields,basketball courts,tennis courts,shaded picnic area,apparatus for the youngsters and a rec center and water faucets for all! Great way to show community dollars put to real good use. This is how our tax $ should be spent(Irvine/El Toro- Great Park)!

Nice clean park with all basic amenities. Cool little skate park. There were a few vagrants, one whistled at me.

Its time for ocean view little league baseball! Our favorite place, better than a major league game.

The fields are pretty nice for softball and they have all sorts of classes at the community center. Keep an eye out after dark for some shady characters.

The staff that work in the community center are nice kids. The center itself is dated, but accommodating. Murdy has always been a gathering place of sorts for delinquents, homeless, and more. Shame there is not an outreach, job training, parenting, self esteem, life skills, grief & loss, etc. program, or counseling service in either the unused adjacent school or the center itself. All and all theres lots of good sport equipment on the grounds.

Back in the day, murdy was a little intense with the younger ones. Since they all matured I would say it’s not as bad as it was. Murdy skatepark has soo much history to it. It was the first public skatepark ever built in Orange County. Legends grow up here like beagle from baker skateboards, Dylan Rieder, Mike vallely, Ryan decenzo and his brother Scott decenzo. Just saying a lot of rad skateboarders come here. It’s not the biggest skatepark but it definitely has loads of history here

They have the lights on at night so you can play basketball. Its not overly crowded.

Love it ...great umpires and lovely group of gals just having fun

Fun little place I come here to play pokemon go when Im low on pokeballs I just go around in a circle a few times i think they have a sunset program all the kiddos look happy staff looks nice playground looks fun havent brought my girls yet theres a corn man whos the after 6 corn cup is so good corn is soft

This is a great example of how a city should spend funds. Upgrades here: small skate park,new lit basketball courts (10 pm), extra softball and tennis courts. Plenty of free parking,water faucets and restrooms. Covered picnic/bbq area and childrens playground.

Besides the slew of homeless and run around and sleepnin their cars, this park isnt bad. The courts and fields are pretty well taken care of and staff is helpful.They have some great programs run out of here so go and check it out.Their tennis program is one of the best.

A lot of good memories out there lot of good friends me and my brother play together for a long time always look forward to playing again and again and the senior softball league until I cant play anymore

We do pee wee Tball here through the HB Sands. Awesome. Clean park, lots of room. Shade trees. Skateboard area. Community center that hosts lots of classes through the city. Playground for the kiddos. Easy to get to from Goldenwest. Lots of parking.
