The ambiance and scenery is very romantic. This is a superb place to you to on a first date, or a romantic anniversary anything like that. Food is good not the best. Service is good. DRINKS ARE AMAZING.

I highly recommend this lounge for anyone who wants place to relax and feel at home. The owner is incredibly nice and accomodating. Loved the conversations I had a chance to share with him. The hookah is very smooth. I have searched for a place where I could relax and feel like a part of a community style hookah lounge. I can say now my search is OVER I found it!!! Atmosphere was really chill and laid back, music was a variety between English, Indian, and Egyptian which I thought was pretty nice. Me and my big sister wanted to smoke hookah somewhere near our hotel in beach Blvd (from Arizona)...and this place had good ratings... We stopped by and tried their hookah... Service was good and was addressed in a professional manner. We tried white peach and it was good ! Would definitely come back when we visit California again!

The owner is a great guy. He loves music. On a slow night like Tuesday he might be up for a song request or two. Definitely have the Egyptian Tea. Constant coal rotation and hookah bowl blow out to keep the smoke fresh. Will definitely come back again. Be friendly to these people, they are fantastic.

If you are looking for an authentic original Arabic hookah, this is the place to go to. Sami, the owner, is very friendly and funny. I go there to get an excellent, clean hookah. I have NEVER had a bad one. His hookah never gets harsh or taste funny like some other places that I have been to. The restroom is always clean. He offers the stamping cards so every now and then you get a free hookah.

I just found about this place a few months ago and Ive become a regular. For starters, It has a chill atmosphere. It really feels like a family here. The hookah is always great. I always get a new minty mix and I love the frozen hose. I recommend this place for anyone who loves hookah.

Surf city hookah lounge really upgraded there environment from before, its no longer dark or unwelcoming, its more relaxed and the music is more relaxing then most hookah lounges and its more of a place to come smoke and socialize.While the environment of this place upgraded, the staff also is more generous they come by every 10-15 min to make sure that your hookah is going good if not will fix it free of charge, and they just want to make sure you leave happy, i come by during the week where its not too busy and the music is more calmer then the weekends. I rated this a 5 star because of the great service, coals are always big if they arent they give you better coals, the price is cheap for great quality tobacco. 20 dollars combo gets you a hookah a refill and a drink, i get it every time.

Surf city hookah lounge is one of the best lounges around and its the one place you actually feel at home. All of those other lounges have a lot of problems and you need to realize they dont have as great of service as surf does. I highly recommend. This lounge. Provides an array of flavors and the owner is super nice and chill. Everone you need to come and enjoy the new upside down hookah last about a hour and a half. Waitresses are nice dont go anywhere else

I came in here for the first time with some friends not too long ago, having nothing else to do. It is ghetto looking and there is nothing aesthetic about its appearance. I dont see why anyone would pay to sit in such a dumpy place. Our bowl was poorly packed, and the owner was really touchy. Do yourself a favor, and stay away from here

What can i say.. i come here at least a few times a week with all my friends (we vary in age between 18 to about 22) best hookah bar i have ever been to. the owner sammy is the man, he always makes us a special bowl for me and all my friends. they have 10 dollar mon and wed so those are the days to really get your bang for your buck.really not too crowded unless its on a weekend. the waitresses and coal guys are all super chill and actually talk and smoke with us. hands down best hookah, smoke, people, atmosphere, music (they have 2 djs) and prices in all of socalcheck it out for yourself you wont regret it
