This is right off Main Street on a second floor. An excellent place to be outside and people watch from a distance. The hamburger I had was very tasty and the server was attentive. I enjoyed a nice IPA with my burger. Kicked back atmosphere where you see downtown Huntington Beach thrive. Theres a small view of the ocean as well. Definitely a good place to grab lunch and chill.

This place cant be beat for island-themed drinks, burgers, and nachos. Solid bar offerings and a good pour. Plus, a view of main street and quality staff. It was packed on a Monday evening and our server was on it. Moderately priced and generous portions. Really, really good signature burger.

Tons of TVs, decent beer selection. Had the California burrito and it was great! Weekend deals on beer towers are also really good. Weekends after the rec league football games this place is pretty busy. The top floor did smell a bit like a bathroom which wasnt the best.

Huge burgers with some pretty wild combinations on them. Fries are great. Server was attentive and very nice, genuine. Ordered the pastrami and swiss burger and couldnt eat it all. It was awesome! The crowd appeared to be older, but were all smiling and laughing, having fun...It is on the second floor with another restaurant below them, and the entrance to the kinda steep stairs is a little bit hard to find. But you should enjoy yourself once you find your way...

My husband and I needed some lunch while in Huntington Beach. We couldnt decide what new place to try...then we looked up - actually my husband looked up.HURRICANES Bar & Grill.We wanted to see what kind of food they had to offer so we walked to the upstairs entrance and the menu was posted. You will see it on the photos that I included in this review.We made our way up the stairs and into the bar/restaurant. Greeted with a friendly smile and good service we chose a seat and began to read through the menu to make our selections.My husband chose the PIER PLEASURE and I chose the CALI TUNA MELT. Both dishes were very good. The Cali Tuna Melt was huge. I had an iced tea and my husband decided to have a drink called The Irish Trash Can. Served in a small bucket, it was Goooooood. Yeah, I had to taste it.The waitress/bar tender was great at making sure we were well taken care of. although she was busy and the only waitress/server at the time, she made sure we were not forgotten. great customer service!There is out door seating too. It overlooks Main Street - a chance to take the view in from a birds eye view. We chose to sit indoors just to get out of the sun for awhile.My husband and I would recommend this Bar and Grill for a quick lunch and drink before continuing your day in Huntington Beach.

This place knows how to satisfy their clients. Always with a welcoming mindset. The food is fairly priced, always delicious and neat.

Its saturday June 13th 10pm, and theres a long line (understandable, due to everything being closed due to covid) thats not my issue, issue is being charged $10 to go in and seeing the door guy put it right into his pocket! Cash only too! But wait...theres more, other people just straight cut the line because they had deeper pockets and sure enough walked in. Currently in another place drinking calmly and NO COVER CHARGE!!!

The food was really, very good! They let some other patron play a personal radio out loud and that was annoying but eh, it’s a bar patio, the food was good enough to brush it off.

I finally made way to Hurricanes Bar &Grill for my Birthday and it was fabulous. Food was great. Everybody was friendly. We had balcony seats and loved the view. Great place to hang out. You gotta check it out!!

Great food, great service, cramped inside seating. My purse was knocked to the floor and people trying to squeeze through our table and the table behind us was quite annoying.Validated parking for the structure is a big plus.

Went at 4:50 on a Tuesday in July. It was packed. We squeezed four girls in at the counter on the patio. We had a great time. My only issue was that I ordered my first Bud Light from the bartender and paid $7. I ordered my second from the waitress and it was $3.50. Happy hour is 4:00 to 7:00.

This is the place to be in H B, Great Food, Great drinks, my husband and I enjoy Hurricanes, we love all of the help, so nice and friendly. We have been coming for 10 plus years. Keep up the outstanding job. Taco Tuesday is killer!!

This place was the bomb.....busy as all get out....holiday.....was srill able to find a seat....and was able to order and receive food in a timely manner given the holiday.

The portions on appetizers are good however the service is always so slow especially out on patio. The menu says happy hour everyday 4-7 pm except holidays I didn’t know playoff football was a holiday get my bill and so expensive instead of half off and they said cuz the games were on. Had I known I wouldn’t have stuck around the 20 mins before server showed up.

We came from near and far for a mini reunion of high school friends. Kerry and his crew went beyond the call of duty to make sure everyone had a tasty and memorable experience. We all loved the DJ, music, party atmosphere and danced the night away! Thank you for the many ways you took care of us - and speaking first hand, the best part was receiving a thank you gift card in the mail. Hurricanes definitely exceeded my expectations!!!

Hurricanes is a local favorite. Great place to eat drink watch the games or people watch because they are located right in the middle of downtown Huntington Beach on Main Street on the second floor where you can see all the excitement below! Great place to hang with friends. There is always something going on there.. Last time I was there (pictured) it was the 49ers vs the Raiders and they gave tickets and prizes. Fan favorite here in Surf City USA!

Hurricanes has something for everyone. Music and dancing on weekends. Sports all week. And the food is delicious. The VIP perks are awesome. A great place for locals to hang out and bring out of town guests. I especially like sitting on the balcony on Street Fair Tuesdays and listening to the band playing on the street.

Loved it - best rooftop bar on the main drag in Huntington Beach. Had a blast on the dance floor the night before having lunch on the deck the next day. DJ killed it and the Chefs know whats up and great prices for everything. Keep up the great work guys

We enjoyed a wonderful buffet the day before Thanksgiving. I was not expecting much from this casual bar but the staff was pleasant and they did a wonderful job with the turkey dinner and all of the trimmings. A very pleasant surprise. I liked the ceiling that was entirely covered in Christmas lights

Good food,good service

This place has an incredible happy hour. You can get a delicious margarita pitcher and 6 tacos for only $20! The environment was very fun and laid back. The scenery is incredible too because youre right on main Street. They have a balcony you can view the ocean from and on Tuesdays you have a birds eye view of the weekly farmers market.

Ok so the food and drinks were great but I only have this place 3 stars because our waitress was really bad. After bringing us our first round of drinks 20 minutes after us getting there she came back once more and we were completely empty. We were there for a total of 2 hours and we ordered salads our appetizers came by pretty fast but our salads literally took like 40 minutes. We think she just completely forgotand when she came back around and sauce again she probably remembered she just said Im sorry guys the kitchens running really slow but there was no problem with her appetizers. Other than the service being bad the food and drinks were great.

Always a favorite with a nice view down mainstreet to the ocean. Wednesday is a great night to go after 6, you can watch the free classic car show while they drive down main st perfect view. I love the burgers and pastrami.

Food is good, but they took all my favorite drinks off their menu and then made another one of my favorites into a pitcher only drink. They have a VERY similar drink on the menu and wont change the rum and add add a little fruit for me. Im mad because it would just be so easy, but they refuse. Now they lost me as a customer because I used to come at least once a week to sit on the patio and get a happy hour drink and some food and now theres nothing for me to drink!Right, I forgot to mention that their Moscow Mules are awful because the ginger beer is ridiculously sweet and they dont put enough lime in them.Food is always great though.

Used to love this place. Their Google listing shows their closing time as 1:30am. I was there on a Monday, and shortly after buying a $9 beer, my first, I was told I needed to leave because they were closing. This was at 11:00pm. I had taken maybe two sips out of my drink at the time I was approached. They stated that they close early if they are slow, but I was given no fair warning, and after complaining, I was told to put down your beer and leave. As a business owner, I am appalled at a business that would not live up to their advertised hours of operation, and not offer to refund a product I purchased but was not allowed to consume during their published business hours. I was further disappointed in my subsequent treatment. Their approach was threatening, not explanatory, much less conciliatory. They have lost a regular over this poor choice. There are many good bars on Main Street that treat their patrons well, honor their published hours of operation, and dont subject their loyal regulars to intimidation tactics. Do yourself a favor and find an alternative watering hole on Main St. I still gave them 2 stars because it is a great location and I have been treated well there in the past. Just very disappointed, because I find no joy in poorly rating any establishment. Look at my profile and you will see, I have historically only reviewed places I enjoy.

Went on a taco Tuesday and they had trivia going on. It was a little lengthy compared to other places Ive been that do a 1 question trivia for a drink . The drinks and service were good as well as the corn and barbacoa tacos.

There were huge cockroaches on the floor and crawling on the wall on the wall behind the booths on the dance floor. So gross we got up and left. Definately will not be eating or drinking there. Wish I could have taken photos but they were quick.

I LOVE HURRICANES. My boyfriend and I just love this place. We come here at least 3-4 a month. Can you please that. I dont know how they do it but Kerry and George are the best. They follow up with you and just make sure you are happy. Evey time I check my email its giving me something that I can use or want. The food is awesome and the drinks aint bad too. I am having my birthday party there on 12-9-17 and me and my family and friends are looking forward to spending a wonderful night there. Thanks Hurricanes.

Went to taco Tuesday ordered 3 tacos crispy chicken soft baracoa and a crispy beef taco 3 for $5.00 first of all they raised the price since I was there last summer and they used to be ok. They sure went down hill quality and taste just awful . I wont be returning there any time soon. Yuck

Love this place. The vibe is always right. The drinks are great and the crowd is better.

We shared the shrimp cocktail and chicken lettuce wraps. Both were good. The shrimp cocktail was definitely the Highlight! The waitress was a bit slow but it was also busy so I will cut her some slack on that. The reason I gave four stars is because the granite countertop bar that we sat at outside on the roof was sticky and dirty. It doesnt look dirty to the eye so I imagine that the help just doesnt make a habit of cleaning it.

Taco Tuesday is good here but its also great at Freds down the same strip. Happy Hour cant be beat here along main street though. Great prices, but expect the place to be fairly crowded during the weekends (live dj) like most the bars down the strip. The crowd is usually fairly mellow and cool.

Great place to be on a Friday or Saturday night. Sometimes they have a cover charge. The dance floor is lit up and tons of fun but not very big. Outdoor balcony is small too but a good place to watch the crowd below.

Great happy hour, best in downtown. Half price appetizers and beers! Food is really good, has really improved over the years. Also free self serve chips and salsa all the time! Great views from the balcony areas as well. Decent beer selection, though a bit more non-ipa variety would be good.

Great location and delicious food. Hurricanes serves the best hamburgers I have ever had. Their burgers are so big you can split one with a friend and leave satisfied. I always receive great service!

Great spot for drinks. It can get crowded AF, like most bars in Huntington. The bathroom situation pretty much sucks theres like 2 tiny stalls & 1 separate restroom. Other than that the bartenders are pretty nice & efficient.

This place is fun at night. Little weird during the transition though, there was a family with children eating at a table on the dance floor when it was starting to take off. Weird mix of people at night but its pretty fun. They have good music. Crowd is 21-25 age range mostly.
