We so needed this!!! I was a bit concerned because we are in the middle of a pandemic but there were not a lot of families there. Maybe another 8? We kinda felt like we had the place to ourselves!!!! It was a lot of fun! And the kids needed this outing so much! I am looking forward to going back. Also, they need to fix the entrance sign. Its missing a few letters LOL
We went the first Saturday of October 2020 an extremely busy day. Everything was very well organized so people could enjoy their visit and still social distance. An absolutely great experience, the farm is clean and had so much for the kids of all ages to do. We are going back next week for the Christmas in the the park. Money well spent!!!
It was definitely worth the trip. The feed for the animals is only $1 and they have great prices for their items at the concession stand too. There are lots of animals and they all want you to feed them. You can bring your own picnic with cooler and set up on one of the many tables under the big trees on the property. We highly recommend this for families with young kids.
A really nice place to take the family. Being able to touch the animals and interact with them is fun. The hay barn was fun to jump about with the kids. Our kids enjoyed the pony and horse rides. All included with the entry price. The train driver was happy and seemed genuinely happy to be driving loads of kids around.
Great place to take the little ones. My 2 yr old granddaughter loves it. They get to pet and interact with many animals. They can ride a horse and a train. Heck they can even just jump around in the hay barn if they want. Lots of picnic tables and pavilion type areas to have Birthday parties or family get togethers. Lots of fun for the kiddos. The smiles on PeaPaws little Princess are priceless!
It was a fulfilling experience. It had plenty to do and a lot of good places for shade. But, I do suggest that you go when the weather is cool or cold. It does get very hot because of the open areas around the property. Other than that, it was a nice place.
Fun for the kids. not many wear masks and also people need to keep better eyes on the animal I saw a kid climb a fence and was holding a bunny by the neck, and the parents didnt even care! Multiple kids climbed the same fence running around in areas you are not ment to be in like the little bird area and none of the employees keep an eye on the animals for the safety of the animals. I believe that there should be people walking around making sure that this does not happen but I highly doubt it. The cows are in tiny pins and need more room to walk around. This place needs serious attention!
Loved this place! There was a ton of room to roam. So many sweet animals to visit with. The employees were very friendly. We had a blast feeding the animals. They were taking care of the property the whole time we were there and all of the animals looked very well cared for. Stayed 3 hours and we still didnt do it all. If you ever get a chance, go check it out.
Perfect place to introduce little ones to animals in a safe and fun environment. Theres plenty of space to let them run, walk and explore. Petting and feeding the animals is the best part and a great way for them to see the animals up close. The animals are gentle for the most part. Riding the ponies is a great hit as well. Take the kids or grandkids for a couple of hours and enjoy watching their reactions to the animals. Its awesome.
It was fun for the kids. I misread the times and thought it closed at 6 so we went there at 430. Lady told us they closed in 20 minutes so I still paid for admission. Short lived but still worth it for the kids. Favorite part was the train and kudos to the conductor for bringing us around twice instead of just one round.
Been several times, great for kids, just went today (oct 3rd 2020)We didnt went in it because it was a lot of people inside and in line to go in, most of them with no mask on. I asked the security guy and said since its outside activity, wearing a mask are is not enforce. I get it, is outside but there was too many people to be safe. We probably go in a weekday just to be safe.
Loved this place! all my kids enjoyed it, ages 11-2. Lots of animals to see, a fun barn full of hay, plus a kiddy train ride and pony rides included in the admission. And then the pool was definitely a winner. We enjoyed our afternoon there so much! They allow outside food and drink, but also have a place to buy some ice cream or drinks.
Great friendly farm to go see a great variety of farm animals!!
Our 2 year enjoyed running around and playing in the playgrounds. Wish he would have been into the animals more but it was his first time being around livestock. Will definitely bring him back to get him used to the animals.
Had a great time. There was a lot of people here but because of the space it never felt crowded. It was easy to social distance and still watch my grandson we had a great time. They had hand sanitizer throughout the place to use as we felt necessary.
Awesome place for 2-8 yr olds. Reasonable cost. CLEAN 14 acre environment and well kept. Variety of animals to interact with. Pony rides, train rides, large sand hill, variety of playscapes, shady and numerous picnic tables, all included in admission. Bonus October: great pumpkin patch photo op and FREE pumpkin for each child.
The kids had a great time & loved getting to run around and pet the animals. The train & pony ride lines moved quickly.Masks were required and were being enforced by police officers around the grounds, but I didnt see anyone get upset about it. Hand sanitizer was easily available all around Old Macdonalds Farm.
This place is just too cute! My 1yr old wanted to ride the train all day. But once I got him in front of the animals he had a blast feeding them. The staff were super friendly and the prices are decent. This will be a new regular for us.
My sister was in town with her 2 kids so I was excited to take them somewhere fun and local. But our experience was a disaster. We went on a Sunday right at 11 (an hour after opening) so I knew it would be somewhat crowded, but I didn’t expect it to be OVERLY Crowded. No masks were being worn by staff and majority of customers, no social distancing, there’s no max capacity of people inside of the animals pens, the train was at full capacity every time with no one required to wear a mask. So we didn’t get to feed much of the animals because of too many people, we didn’t get to ride the train because of too many people, the sand hill and playground had too many people, it just wasn’t safe at all and felt gross. I’ve been to old McDonald’s farm a lot of times in the past and had a great time! But right now we are in the middle of a pandemic and this business isn’t taking any precautions, it was disappointing.
Were there last weekend. It is a good please for kids. We spent there about 2 hours and my kid had a great time. One thing the trains sound is annoying. It beeps extremely loud each 30 sec.Administration, could you please make trains signal quieter?
My daughters absolutely love this place! We look forward to our trips there every year. I definetely recommend it.
I’m sure kids will have fun, mine did, but I am saddened by this place. The tiny cages the animals live in made me upset I p them loosely walking around like an actual petting zoo and for the animals to be happy.. they looked sad in their tiny cages I just wanted to open them all and let them run. Also as a chicken owner, of golden comets and barred Plymouth rocks, I was HEARTBROKEN by the condition of the chickens. If I knew more about the other animals I’d probably feel even worse. But overall I mean it is what it is, a petting zoo.. I guess, which is always heart wrenching if you actually love animals. And the pumpkin “patch” was hardly that, just a place to take pictures with some pumpkins.
It was really nice my 5 year old really enjoyed himself. We just forgot to bring swim wear but i would definitely bring him back
ALERT: No masks were required at this business. It’s alright if it’s all distanced and outdoor activities. But the line for admission was long and the staff at the admission were not wearing masks at all. Majority of the adults were not wearing masks. Nor were they practicing social distancing.Otherwise the facility was pretty good for kids
They had a beautiful pumkin patch set up!! They have improved the farm park set up and added more playgrounds. My kids truly enjoyed themselves. We will definetly be going back.
The kids had a lot of fun on the train and there were plenty of areas with shade/picnic tables. However, there werent nearly as many animals since last time we visited in 2016. Furthermore, some animals had rashes. Overall, kids had fun but dont think Ill come back. I hope the conditions of some of the animals improve.
Covid Cons: large crowds. Long lines. Its a 15acre farm outside, but have to wear a mask.Covid pros: 15acre farm to social distance. Nice outside. Lots of animals to pet.
Its an okay experience for the kids. With the most fun been riding the horses and the train that sometimes brakes down, but they fix it right there and then and can sometimes take 20-30min.
This place is so fun for the entire family! Came for my little ones bday party last week and shes still talking about all the fun she had.
Loved our visit this yr.Was a bit over crowded but everyone kept social distance and there were several hand sanitizing areas.Definitely some good ol fun in the sun for kidos.
Great place for kids...lots of animals you can get close and personal with and the feed is only $1!! The train ride and pony ride are included which was such a huge bonus!
Amazing place to take the kids. Park for them to play, horses to ride, and can feed the animals. Would be a good place for birthdays.
Great place to visit wt family my 5 yr old brother loves it here!
We enjoyed the time we were here. Kids love the animals.
The grandkids absolutely loved it... really awesome place where you can get close to the animals. The train ride was really cool too... We will definitely be bringing all the kids here!
It is pretty busy during the weekend and a there is no enforcement of mask laws many many dirty little kids with no mask however there is hand sanitizer around and there are many people who are also wearing masks and making their children clean their hands we have kids and we want to keep them safe the animals are great the trainer it is great the snacks and drinks are reasonable price parking is free bathroom is clean
Plenty to keep the children entertained. Since its outside it was perfect during the pandemic too
Great place for authentic learning about animals and nature. The experience can be the base for many days of teaching Science, LA, Reading, Social Studies, etc.
I didn’t found this place interesting. Is just my personal thought. I think is good for kids
Great place for kids. My son really loved meeting all the animals and the train rides. Not crowded and inexpensive as well. Will go there again for sure.
Educational trip for your juniorsTook my son here and he had so much fun. Getting to know a lot of animals and get the chance to feed them too. A good exposure to your kids towards loving the animals.
Our 2 year old, enjoyed the pony rides, train rides, and petting the farm animals. Especially, the cute bunnies.
Fun way to spend a day with my grandchildren. Take a picnic and drinks and play for hours!
Had a blast. Great spot to take the little ones
Awesome place for kids and family. I love the activities and that there is essentially one price for the entire park. You dont get nickled and dimed for everything you want to do. The animal enclosures can be entered and you can interact with many of the animals. Its a mitch better format than a petting zoo where all the animals and guests are crammed into one enclosure. Free pony rides and train rides. Dont forget to tip the staff, they deserve it
Love this place, where we ve taken our kids when they were little. However, as I was passing by today, I noticed that it was ridiculously packed, like I ve never seen before. I just think is very irresponsible from owners to let this happen during this pandemic. I am a healthcare worker and seeing this is just upsetting, for I ve seen so many people suffer due to covid 19. How can this be allowed? there were tons of people in there with, with many kids running around and no social distance whatsoever, so upsetting.
Great for the kids!! Lots of fun
Great place for kids and adults, because who doesnt like feeding animals on a nice day!
Great photo ops, pumpkin patch and train ride for the kiddos
Great place for the kids. Parent will enjoy it as well. Well priced for a great day out with the kids. My son loves the train. Begs me to go back just to ride it. People are always friendly and welcoming. Would recommend for a family of older or younger kids.
Was a great way to spend the afternoon with family. Reasonably priced .
Not a one complaint. My daughter loved it
The grounds are well kept however the center has changed a few since my last visit in 2013. Back then the deers use to roam around the park, now they are confined to a Deer Area Im which we were unable to interact with them. $12 is a little high for the overall experience, I think it pricing should be reviewed more like $8 for kids and $10 for adults. Parks in the farm are outdated. Overall decent experience just to find something to do with the kids however you wont spend much time there due to the age of the farm. Some updates are needed for am overall excellent experience.
Best place ever for kids of all ages and adults
Great place for kids!... ponnies ride have a break from 1:30pm to 2:30pm.
Awesome time with the kiddo and wife. Love all the animals and the train.
Great place to bring the little ones, and very friendly staff.
I was so excited to take child and sister in law here while in town. Posted hours indicated they were open until 4pm on Thursdays. Arrived shortly before 2pm and they were closed. So disappointing, it looked like it would have been a lot of fun. No one answered the phones and staff walked away as soon as they saw is standing outside. Id definitely recommend calling well ahead before heading out there.
My daughter loved all the animals and the train ride!!
Nice animal exhibits but very pricey for what it was. You could go to the zoo for a little bit more and see way moreanimals. Disappointed in lack of trying to social distance visitors on the train. Masks are not required because it is outdoors and super hot which is fine, but they didnt even try to space people out on the train or limit number of riders.
Very family oriented had a great tine.
Nice place for smaller kids to interact with animals. Pony rides, train rides, and a nice size pool all included with admission.
One of my favorite experiences in Texas. You are able to go in with the animals and feed is cheap. The animals were so sweet and friendly. I only wonder if they keep good enough eye on people who would endanger the animals when going into the pens. Other wise, great!
It is better than the last time I went. Very more organized.
Lots of fun for our 2 year old.
Fun place, good for kids, there is train ride and horse ride.
We love it here! As long as you beat the crowds it is well worth the heat. Come as soon as it opens and usually you get an hour before everyone else gets there. Its cheep and friendly and just fun.
This place was ridiculous. There are bees.....yes bees everywhere. We left because I got stung trying to make sure my kids didn’t get stung. And we paid $42 for the three of us to get in only to be in there for 45 min to an hour.
We Visited Old MacDonald Farm for a church function; the children LOVED it. We had a wonderful time, everything was great and the staff was good to us. It’s been a few months since our last visit and my 3-year-old grandson STILL keeps asking to go back. I’m planning a weekend to make a special trip back with him. .
Took my daughter here for her 3rd birthday and we had a blast. She enjoyed every moment of our stay here. Animals are friendly and so are the employees. The train ride was already closed but the man who directs the ride gave us two more rounds anyway. Great place for family events
Great place for kids. We had a fun day
Spontaneous stop...very pleased ...Great fall season fun for the family. Awesome Military discount!!!!
Great 2 hour activity for a 2 and 1 year old! We came on Sunday morning at opening time in January - there was no crowd. There is tons of space to run and play and to sit, sun or shade. We brought our own lunch, visited the bathrooms 3 times (no crowds, clean and similar to a camp ground bathroom) and made it around the whole property in 2 hours. We could have stayed another 30-60 minutes if it weren’t for nap time! We loved this place because our kids had an awesome time!
Actually we had a blast, but only when you get in you wear a mask, should be at all times, and should keep sheriffs there through out the day, amount of people also.
My daughter and I had a great time there.
Great time with a 3 yr old and 6 month old
We had a blast! Nice, large open area. Multiple playgrounds for kids to climb and slide. Good for toddlers and up. Large sand dune with some toys. Even a hay barn for the kids to enjoy. Fun little train ride that circles the property (no additional charge) The petting zoo part has sheep, pigs, rabbits, chickens, pony and horse to ride, llama, large turtles...there a fenced off duck pond with a female peacock and emu. Lots of picnic tables
First time going and it was just OK. Honestly I was expecting more..
A super nice place to spend it with family or friends
My kids love this place no matter how big they’re getting. Great place to spend family time
We love it. My daughter enjoyed too. Well be back sometime.
Very fun for small kids. Alot to do. A little pricey tho.
We visited this place for my sons field trip. So much fun not enough time! You will definitely spend more than 5 hours there. Maybe thats because i looove playing with animals lol. They have a train the kids can ride, you can feed the animals, play in the hay barn, take tons of fun photos and pf course take a pumpkin!
Great place to visit and take kids.
Its a clean & great place to spend w/the family. I love the hands on interaction w/all the farm animals which is great for teaching. Id recommend stopping by. Ill definitely be back.
Great place to spend the morning with the kids.
So much fun for our kiddos!
We did my daughters birthday here.. The staff was very helpful and helped us throughout the entire party.. We also had more guest than intended and they accommodated where they could.
The staff is super nice and helpful price included everything including, the animals, pony rides, train rides and playgrounds 2 massive play structures a trian to play on picnic areas great place concession stand too
Don’t go there during covid because no one was wearing masks, not even the people at the front desk area. If you do go please just wear your mask.
Kids had a great time, riding the pony was the climax of the day
Kids had a good time
Its pretty cheep and feels like it. The play ground is hand made and the tunnels are corgated drain pipe. The petting zoo has concrete weights and chains too swing doors shut. But you know what I love it. One of the attractions is literally a pie of dirt for the kids to have fun in. All kids love a train ride. There are plenty of benches and lots of room for kids to run and tire themselves out. I recommend this place to anyone with kids.
Did not have half the animals they show online. Very disappointed in what they had for the price.
