Always a great time. The course has been in great condition all year. And the staff are fantastic. Steve and Jody made this year work seamlessly. They were professional.. respectful and courteous to all the members of my Wednesday night league, as well as our daily jaunts. Great people and great courses.
As a former employee of green meadow I can speak for just about everyone there when I say that working there and with everyone is always a pleasure it did not matter if you were grounds crew, carts, starters or clubhouse staff everyone was a friend. Mike always does a stand up job in the clubhouse with food and beverages and his staff does exceptional on the course with the bev carts always respectful and nice. Peter and the rest of the ladies and gentleman in the clubhouse at the counter were always a pleasure to work with whenever I had to go there. I worked for Andy Mchugh in the maintenance garage I serviced most of the equipment besides fairway, greens and tee mowers. On top of the 25-30 things I had to worry about in the garage I also serviced the carts as well and made a lot of great friendships with the staff over there. If the course truly does get sold it will be a huge loss for Hudson. Sadly I had to move on to bigger things and continue to a career change. But not a day goes by where I don’t miss this place. So much hard work goes into that course to keep it looking as great as it does and it will be truly sad to see it go. Fantastic job of the years to all the folks involved in making that course so amazing.
2 diverse courses in 1 well run clubhouse.Prairie was more open and flat fairways for a little more forgiveness while the Jungle has a little tighter fairways without being too overbearing. I love playing the jungle as it runs along the Merrimack and has a lot of diversity. Great course and is always in great shape when I play there
Many reasons why I and my 4 some enjoy Green Meadows. Top of the list of reasons is the condition of the course, especially the greens. Other reasons include:. * the option to pick one of 2 courses,* our being familiar with each fairway* the computer system and the ease to booktee times
Fun spot. Both courses have their challenges and play overall well. Nice greens some tricky spots if you pull into the rough. Course might be going away so I recommend a round or two here before its gone
The course has been kept in great shape this summer, and they are doing a great job trying to keep the leaves off the course during this fall season. Really excellent
One of my favorite courses to play on. The price is reasonable; the fairways and greens are generally well maintained; the starters are friendly; and you can usually find a tee time.
Phil Friels vision of 60 years ago still holds up well. Great conditions for a busy public course. Sad that it is in its final season before it changes hands to be developed.
Well layed out golf course. Enjoyed playing golf here very much. Will return.
Awesome track. Starters know their business and everyone there is great.
Horribly run course that deserves to be closed. On a Friday night, you have a ranger that will not speak to slow groups that are impacting many groups but he has no problem riding around to tell everyone to get their carts in. No excuse at a busy time to allow one full hole to be open in front of a riding foursome. Then when the ranger was asked why he did not do his job the response was “it’s hard”. Very sad as this course used to be a pleasure to play at. Good thing they are selling the land as the course is useless.
Me and my friends come from mass and play twice a week all summer long we love the course always in good condition and the people who work there are awesome I hope they dont sell will play there and only there as long as we can
The course is in great shape for this late in the year. The staff was great, very helpful.
Sorry to hear this may be it. Get out and play asap. May be last chance. Conditions great. Staff greater.
Going to be sad when this course is gone! Always have a great round, awesome staff, and the McMeadows are legendary.
Well-maintained greens. Not a challenging course but fun.
Love this place. Hate to see it go. Always in great shape, even will the amount of play.
Two golf courses here, the Prairie and the Jungle. The Jungle is much harder but both are fun to play. I heard they sold the land and the courses will be torn down within 2 years.
First off I want to apologize for this email as I am never a person to complain. However after today I definitely fell i need to voice my frustration. ( I did talk to the front desk quickly )So today we booked a 9am tee time for a foursome. My buddy was getting married right up the road later today so figure it would be a great time to play a little golf before and keep his mind off of it. Now I play golf weekly and I am very aware of golf etiquette, play speed, where and how to drive carts. My other 3 buddies dont really play much, because of that and due to the course being busy, I made the decision to play bestball. That why we could keep the play speed at a steady pace. After the first hole a guy came up to use as we were driving to the 2nd hole and said we need to speed up play as we were a hole behind. I apologized and said that we would. (I took his word for it)However when we got to the 2nd tee box we had to wait to tee off as the group in front of us was still in the fairway. ( hittable distance ) The next couple holes we had to wait to tee off. Normally play at any golf course, especially on a weekend. However the same guy continued to watch over us ( made it pretty uncomfortable ) When we got to hole 9, again he was sitting out in the middle of our fairway. We waited to see if he was crossing over the fairway, but he just sat there. I have never experienced any like this. We hit our drives and one of my buddies, did top the ball and went about 15 yards so I told him to hit another one. Now the group behind us was just reaching the green on hole 8. As we drove to our balls he drove up to my friends( I came over to hear what he had to say) he tried telling them that we are playing to slow and hitting to many balls. I spoke up and told him that the group behind is still on the green, that when he spoke to us earlier that he was in fact wrong as we couldnt tee off yet and we were not behind. I explained to him that I have never had anyone make a round of gold so uncomfortable. He seemed taken back and did accept that he was wrong but was very unprofessional. When I started talking to him he went to drive off, I asked him his name and said I didnt need it. I then yelled whats your name and he said Gary. I said Gary whats your last name and he told me, Im not telling you that.Again I do apologize for this lengthy email but this was supposed to be a great day out before the wedding and because of Gary it was the most uncomfortable experience I have had. We didnt even finish the other 9 holes because the Groom was like hey lets get out of here. Instead of making great memories and enjoying ourselves before the weeding we left early and had an awful experience. Not sure what you can do, Im sure this was not a normal experience. I appreciate your time and help. ScottI sent this email to the superintendent on Saturday after we left and waiting for a response!
I hear its closing too bad. First time here and I thought it was a great course
Phenomenal course. Great value and well kept. Im going to miss this place tremendously.
A great golf course! The facilities were accessible and the staff was friendly and helpful. A pleasant place to play golf. Course was in great shape. Plenty of parking and practice facilities. Food and beverage service was available and at a good price. Two 18 hole courses leave plenty of options to play.
Amazing course too bad the owners a cheap sellout . Selling arguably the best course in all of New Hampshire to pave some parking lots and build condos instead. But hey who needs fun and paradise when you can have money and asphalt right?
With two courses to choose from this club will entertain players of all skill levels. The jungle, as the name implies, has narrower fairways and more challenging approaches whilst the prairie is more forgiving but still very fun to play. Either way both courses are well kept and offer a great day of golfing.
Green Meadow always does a great job maintaining the course. Such a shame that Amazon is taking over the course for warehouse space.
Fun day, fun course.
Great place, great staff, going to miss this place !!
Did not play due to need reservation, course looks in good shape.
Great course, in fantastic shape
Unlimited golf but the starters are real pains.
I have golfed at Green Meadows for a decade and every year the course getts better and better
Too bad this will be the last year. Course is in great shape
Best place to have a golf League! Peter the Pro is just wonderful. Course is great. Staff are very nice.
I enjoyed playing here. The whole course was in great shape. I liked that the course was a bit more open. It is fairly flat too. So I would call it an easier course than this that are hilly and narrow.
Amazing!! Had a great round.. course was incredible..!! Cant wait to go back..cant go wrong for the price..
Awesome venue. Great conditions and they accommodated our 88 guest tournament with best service that could be expected. They politely did not even make fun of my golf game!
Courses (2) are always in good shape. The prairie is more wide open and has a lot of give. The jungle is a tighter course with much more tree line. I play each course every other weekend and its a good mix. Prices are fair.
Plenty of tees. Can hit off the grass.
Great course
Well kept fairways and greens for the amount of play on their two golf courses. Friendly staff in grill and pro shop, and on the course.
The Prairie course is pretty forgiving but I would definitely go back to try the jungle. So I went back to do the jungle and really enjoyed it.
Played the Jungle Course today 6/27/18. Great condition, fabulous course design. I am so impressed with this course each time I play it. Friendly staff at the pro-shop. Such a great value ($45 senior rate w/a cart) for a public course. Cant wait to play again.
Greens had a lot of ball Marks and tee boxes were well kept!
Played The Prarie course nice flat and open great for someone who hasnt played in years
Great shape... greens look awesome and roll nice!!
Great to have 36 holes to change it up every time we play.
Be ready for fast greens, hard ground, and thick rough. Greens also have a bit of contouring. This is decent option for Nashua area golf; with a choice of with trees (jungle) or without (Prairie).
VERY nice 36 hole course. Great shape.
Good public golf course even though there are a lot of people pace of play is 4.5 hrs for 18 holes. Restaurant is good, but the new chairs are uncomfortable for me. 5 10 plus sized girl!
Love this course. Nice big flat greens.
The course was in great shape and the greens were fast.
I love this place. The staff is great. I am 12 years old and the guys in the pro shop treat me like everyone else. I love the course along with the great service and food in their restaurant The 19th Hole.
Course was in great shape for a early spring day in April.
Pretty good public course, challenging yet not impossible. Whites are 6400 yards on Jungle.Play there more than 20 times each year.
Nice course !!!!! Love it when you see the cart girl !!! The only issue we had is whenThe people behind us were complaining we were going to slow -we had a foursomeWe offered them to play through ..wasn’t good enough then the golf police showed upAnd said we need to speed it up !!!!! Wouldn’t return !!
Friendly staff and golfers. 2 18 hole courses. The easier one was very good for new golfers like me
Darn good for March
The Good: 2 golf courses, both very fun and very playable. Fairways and greens in great shape. Very reasonably priced. The Bad: HUGE wait times. Recently we signed on to play 18 there on a Monday morning, and it was absolutely ridiculous. At least a 7 to 10 minute wait on each shot--let alone at the tee boxes. We were standing in the middle of the fairway, waiting contstantly for the people ahead of us to move it along, but they were waiting for the group ahead of them.No range control is inexcusable. Thats just lazy management; overbooking golfers and then expecting them to put up with huge wait times, with zero effort putting into range control. This is the second time this happened to us in the last 6 months. We walked off after 14 holes. Wont be coming back until they get their act together.
Tight fairways. Tough rough. Hilly. Cheap course. Love to play there for the price.
Play once a year. Always in good shape. Has 2 different courses
This is a very nice place to play golf. There are two 18 hole courses here. The Jungle and the Prarie. The Jungle plays along/close to the Merrimack River. The Prarie plays on both sides of the road that you drive down to get here. The Jungle plays much longer and harder than the Prarie does. There are a handfull of uphill/downhill holes. Water isnt much of an issue on either course. There are three par 3s with water to carry. The fronts of the greens on the Jungle course were designed with great optical illusion. You can think your shot is on the green, but youre 20 yards short when you get there. The greens have plenty of undulation and roll consistant when putting. The Prarie is a basic, well maintained 18 hole course with plenty of room for wayward shots. The course does have a starter and Im not sure if they have a ranger, but I always see people buzzing around in golf carts. If they are, I havent been spoken to yet.You get more than you pay for here. Fun course. It can play as long as you want. Good placement of trees, bunkers. And I cant complain about the greens. They also have a nice place to eat at the turn. Good parking. Driving range. And quick golf carts.I would give them 5 stars, but I gotta keep them on their toes, lol.
Two nice 18 hole courses at the same,, STOP,, the jungle and the prairie, Place does draw a crowd at times but the staff is great not too hard to get a tee time,, I would call ahead for sure,,sometimes a slow round,, other times you speed right through. They also have a rate drop for Twilight games I believe after 3 maybe after one also if you can get out of work early get there for noon and youll have a great 18 play right through
Was told after I teed off on the 8th hole that the course was closed at sunset. (Tee is at clubhouse) It was obviously not sunset but I was too pissed off to argue. After over 30 years of coming here this will be my last visit. I checked sunset time for June 6th. It is 8:20 PM I teed off at 8:04 PMAt 8:30 PM people are still finishing. Most expensive 7 holes I’ve ever paid.Ridiculous. Dumb. Rude.Play elsewhere.
Over priced by me freils standards
Excellent course and great staff
I always enjoy playing here. Has 2 18 hole courses. Both are fair and enjoyable.
Great course! Two courses to play. The only problem is the wait on the tee boxes sometimes can be long but if you play on a day where its not too crowded its great.
Prairie is competitive but fair.
The greens at the Prairie were terrific for the beginning of March. Pace of play was great.
Two full courses both with their own identity cir for a fun afternoon outing. The greens can be a little slow sometimes though.
Nice course easy walk
The Jungle course is in great shape and a very good value for the money.
Great muni in NH jungle is challenging and test all your shots
Did not have 9 hole rate. Had to pay 18 hole price. Course is decent.
Would give it a 5 if they didnt have leagues every, single, day... Food has improved and the course is always consistent
Just love playing there..its a nice place
Great 2 courses with very reasonable green fees. Hands down well keep all year.
Good shape for early season.....
Rangers are terrible at their job and harass younger golfers. Me and my friends were waiting 10-15 min on each tee box for the group in front of us and a ranger came up to us and said speed up or get out. We very politely explained that had been waiting on each hole but the ranger kept blaming it on us. The rangers have no problem with older guys taking 10 min before each shot, but being under 30 is a cardinal sin on their course.
Played here a half dozen times and at least half of them the rangers have talked to my party about pace of play. Yet, we wait on the tee box for the party in front of us to be clear. Once they spoke to us despite the fact that they had allowed a party of 5 to play in front of us. Feeling rushed in the course is no fun especially when you’re being asked to hurry up and wait. When I suggested to the manager and ranger that they had an issue with when they were sending groups out they said nothing. I’m done with this place. I golf to relax and swear at bad shots. I don’t need rangers pestering me because the don’t know how to spread t times out.
Surprisingly the course was in very good condition and moved in a very good speep
Prairie course is wide open and easy but their fairways are not in good condition. Jungle course is very good and challenging with beautiful landscapes.
Very nice course, greens roll very true
Nice course in good shapeRough is a little long
Had fun. Played both courses. Fairways were good and greens are on point
Two different courses, nice location with lots of trees
Course was in great condition for end of September. Staff not really too accomodating when trying to set up a big tournament
It is an excellent location to live and walk around
A very nice course, well maintained, professional sandtraps and raked !
2 great courses, including a challenging Jungle course.
Great public course
Good shape. Service so so
Great value. You can almost drive here, play, and get back to Boston in the time it takes to play some of the overcrowded courses closer to the city
Went for a fundraiser. Was very nice.
Well maintained public course with 36 holes
