Formerly Big Springs, the course is improved with a nearly redone back nine. The course is really nice just to look at and plays tough. Well worth at least a round a year.

Tried previously to play here without success but now I can see why so many want to play this great course. Country park feel with challenges all over the course; Fairways & greens in great condition, traps however need more attention. Positioning of your drive is so important at EM, Ill pay more attention to that on my next visits which I hope will be many. Congratulations to everyone at EM on making their course one of the best in Ohio.

Good value for the money at senior rates. Course was in nice shape and greens held pretty well. Only two concerns. 1) No ranger visible. The group in front of us on the back nine had no one in front of them and there were at least 3 open holes in front of them by about the 14th hole. Slooooooow. 2) We were using the silver tees for a few holes but those tees were way up in comparison to what the scorecard read. We adjusted halfway through the front by using the whites which are about 6000 yards.

It rained almost four inches on Monday we played Tuesday.Course was in great shape drained really well. Staff was very friendly.Pace of play was under four hours even with carts on path. Cant ask for anything else.

A very nice course with many demanding holes where you need to hit it far and straight. The multiple set of tees makes it a fair test for any class of golfer. Nice, courteous employees also.

Course is nice but it’s managed pretty poorly, playing 18 and go to make the turn only to run into 3 groups that were sent off the back for twilight, didn’t end up getting 18 in and that’s what we paid for. The group in front of us was clueless and were driving on greens and tee boxes, driving wrong way down fairways and basically just had their kids out on the golf course as a play ground. Pretty disappointing, especially after playing the course for as long as I have been.

Made a 2pm tee for 18 holes. They let a 5-some out two groups in front of us and it took 2 hours and 40 minutes to play the first 9. We made the turn right away only to find a large 4pm league starting on the back nine. We told the starter that we were making the turn and he told us sorry there was nothing he could do wed have to wait an hour for the league to go off the back 9.

Excellent course . Staff such as Greg and Warren are excellent and always accommodating . The course is very well kept and conditions such as fairways and greens are excellent. .

Every year this course has improvements that make it better.

Municipal track that had some good changes made to it over the past winter. New cart paths. New ninth hole. New short game practice area. Very reasonable rates. A lot of cleaning up that has improved its appearance.

Loved the course layout and water features. The overall golf experience was pleasant. The course and greens were well maintained. The staff was professional. Would have given 5 stars had there been more gender and racial diversity.

Great course! First time to play but defiantly not the last... Played front 9 due to time and schedule... Looking forward to playing back 9 or a complete 18 soon... My father in law is coming to visit the month of July and Ellsworth is now on the list of MUST play! Thanks to the staff for offering such an awesome experience!

The course gets in better shape with better accommodations each time we play there. I am very impressed with the conditions, cart paths, services, and practice facilities. Great golf course and friendly staff

This course is in amazing condition. Theyve put in a lot of money for drainage, etc. the past few years and it is paying off. The fairways, tee boxes, greens and practice areas are in as good as shape as any private course.

Course was in great shape pace of play was excellent...we got out BEFORE the junior golf tournament this time. Went out AFTER the Juniors last year and didnt go back until my son booked a tee time. What an improvement!

Our group was very impressed with recent improvements to the course (more signage, better cart path routes). The course was in very good condition despite the wet weather we have had recently. Pace of play was about 4 hours on the nose on a weekday morning at 8:00 am. A very enjoyable place to play!

Great course for the price and level of service. Can get SUPER busy during twilight hours, would recommend calling ahead or preparing to wait a lot longer than you’d expect per hole. Otherwise excellent.

Ellsworth is a gem and it keeps getting better. Of the three Golf Courses in Hudson Ellsworth is the only public course and it is the best. The entire facility and staff are great. I’m a member at one of the private clubs in town and I prefer Ellsworth anytime.

We play this course every year as part of our trifecta. It has gone WAY up in my book. Over the last year its obvious that they put a LOT of money into this course! Fairways & Greens are excellent. All new cart paths, very well manicured. They also know how to run a course and are very friendly people. You can get around this track in 3:45 to 4.5 hours. Kudos to you guys!

Ellsworth is by far the nicest public course that I have ever played! The greens are in great shape and the course is challenging for all levels of golfers. I am hoping they offer a membership soon!

Great course in excellent condition. Good mix of challenging and straight forward holes. Undulating greens can be quite tricky so short holes are no pushover.

Ive been coming here for years with a bunch of buddies. The course has a great layout and the already very good conditions improve each year. The golf pro, Greg really make us feel like this is our home course. Keep it up!!

I was playing in my league and a member in the foursome ahead of me had a hole in one on the 7th hole. When he finished, he was given a golf hat with the course logo on it and hole in one on the side of it. This was a great way for the course to acknowledge the accomplishment, and he wore it proudly during the celebration that followed.

Great greens. The course has made many improvements with their cart paths and routing It seems to have improved pace of play and certainly the routing of golfers around the course. The course was in amazing shape given that it is late October. They get a lot of play so there were the occasional bare spots along cart paths and in the rough well off the fairway. Highly recommend playing this course even though it will still be a 4.5 hour or more round even during the week.

Course is in great shape, cart paths freshly paved but this course is brutal for bogey golfers. Trees/long grass eat golf balls, not friendly to slicers and hookers. Still, worth the money.

Excellent municipal owned course. Excellent condition. Varied and challenging layout with well protected greens. Good practice area. Do not get above the holes! Can get breakfast before you play. Good pace of play on a weekday and very reasonably priced.

I went there for a twilight special on a Tuesday night, after going off the back nine and only getting to play 5 holes in a two hour span, myself and my playing partners decided to head back to number one to try to get a few more hole in before dark. When we reached number one and already teed off, we were confronted by two rangers in red shirts asking us what we were doing, and that we werent allowed to jump around to different holes, when I purchased greens fee I was told as much golf as I could get in until it was too dark to play. When they sounded the horn to state the course was closed we pulled our carts in and were asked not to come back. Myself and my playing partners will be taking our business elsewhere. Every other course in town lets you jump holes when doing the twilight special. We are very respectful of course rules and golf eudicot where ever we play. WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO ELLSWORTH MEADOWS.

If you want to play at a course that could care less about pace of play or golf etiquette then this is your place. They love to over book it with golfers that have 6 hours to play a round of golf and actually think that is enjoyable to wait 15 minutes for each shot. Nice track overall but once again poorly run makes this a poor choice.

One of the greatest public courses Ohio has to offer. Lived next to this course for a decade and never grew to appreciate it until I began traveling and saw how garbage other courses can be. Great pro shop, friendly staff. Course is always immaculate. Driving range is very average but has greatly improved over the last 5 years.

Greens were in great shape for April despite the rain that came mid round altering their speed.

Played on June 24, 2019. Course was in excellent condition and pace of play was great.

Greens could have been in better shape but with the recent weather the course was fine.

Starter hates his job, no ranger, no cart service. Flags laying down on the green. When we made the turn we stopped at the club house to grab something to eat, there was a pile of hot dogs and sausage left on the open grill that were cold, no condiments, and the food handler used his bare hands to serve. If food safety is of no concern youll be satisfied.The course itself was well laid out and reasonably maintained.

One of the best public courses in Northeast Ohio. Staff always accommodating, and pace of play is always above average.

This has been my home course since I was about 10 years old and I always had nothing but great things to say about it. But for some reason this season, it has not only been exceptionally slow pase and overbooked, but also the staff has been quite rude and not receptive at all when they have an unhappy customer. I have recommended this course to friends and family all across Ohio but that will be coming to an end.

Very well maintained course. We enjoy playing here. The only drawback was the starter. After putting out 2 foursomes (who I believe were late), we had a 2 and 3. The twosome was waiting for the green to clear before hitting their 2nd shots. He was getting all bent out of shape because we werent teeing off and they werent hitting yet. After sending staff out needlessly and ruining our first hole, we then played in a fast 5 hours! No ranger ever went after the first foursome who had at least 2 holes open in front of them It was a shame!

I play there twice each week with a seniors group . It is a beautiful well takin cared for course and very reasonably priced. It is owned by the city of Hudson .

You wont find a better maintained course. Greens a fast, staff helpful. Great driving range.

This course throughly upset me. I called and scheduled a tee time for 2:16 on Monday August 21st for 18 and a cart. We were playing 18 then going to the Browns game. Once we arrived at the course they told me we could not play 18 because they have leagues. With no excuse about why I was permitted to schedule it over the phone and no offer to fix the problem. They just told we could not play and kept looking at his computer. Would not recommend

Allows discrimination of women golfers. Very bad experience. Some staff felt bad, but starter needs training. I was told I could play, but then not allowed to join a group because I am a women. I am also a very established player, shameful. See womens review below, they were denied access, no reason given. This sounds like a pattern with this course which exists with tax dollars I pay.

Nice course but the starter was a real dick, 3 minutes late due to Memorial Day Parade in downtown Hudson. Almost left due to his attitude.

Very slow play. Quit after 12 holes after waiting on every shot for a long time. They need a ranger who pushes slower players along. Will not go there again.
