Nice park with 1 mile walking trail around the lake. You will see swing benches to sit on throughout which gives it a nice touch. People fishing, jogging or walking dogs. Clean with lots of parking. 3 different parking lots.
Friday, September 18, 2020 at 7:40 pm, my daughter and I were finishing our walk in this park when received a call from her husband that the city park ranger instructed him to move oir cars immediately because he is closing the park. I told my son n law we were 20 minutes away walking distance and this side doesnt close til 8. My son n law jogged to us for keys and parked his car and my convertible on the outside of the park fence, half in grass/half on street. As I arrived to the gate, the park ranger was turning to leave from locking the gate and its 7:58 pm. I went from begging him to open the fence to angry because this meant loading my grandbaby from the stroller into the car in ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I begin recording his attitude and he says he doesnt care. Ive left two messages -one with Tom Bass and the Commissioners office. Ive posted photos of us loading the baby from the street with oncoming traffic. ANYTHING couldve happened: flat tire, hit by oncoming traffic...this man did NOT care. We were kind, my son n law was compliant when he had every right to wait til we made it to the car. My son n law didnt see the severe danger in his decision to move the cars upon demand until his wife and baby were on the street, trying to load into the car with oncoming traffic in pure darkness. May God, himself, deal with that man.
Good scenic park, with pretty good running trails and kept clean with golf course near by and activities for the kiddos as well.
This park has a lot to offer for individual and large group hangouts. Ive seen gatherings under the pavilion and at the grill areas, and families together at the various playgrounds. Occasionally youll find some people fishing, or just observing the ducks, turtles and other wildlife around. Theres a 1.1 mile trail around the water which is my personal reason for going there. The trail has 0.25 mile markers, and was recently resurfaced. Some run the trail, and others walk casually, so you essentially determine your pace.
My son loves this park! Its always super busy and parking is always full, but my son loves to play with all of the kids there. Definitely worth going here!
I went to Adair Park just across the street from Tom Bass. My Dog and I had a wonderful walk mainly under the mature oak trees. I dont know why when new parks are constructed no shade trees are planted given how hot it gets here in Houston?
Were there fishing today at the pier. No fish..lots of turtles of all sizes..they were all over totally invaded the lake. Needless to say caught a few also stole our baits.Another family has the same problem. We were like in turtle island.Tom Bass Park should get rid of them.We were there a year ago wasnt that bad n caught fish now is like no matter where you cast..turtles steals baits and guarenteed to catch few of them. Please do something.
Freshly mowed. Pretty quiet at 8am. Enjoyed the walk.
I love that the Trails have markers to tell how far... One lap is a mile!! Everyone is respecting others space practicing social distancing!!!
Dirty restrooms and all, but its a nice place. Many childhood memories
Super active running trail. Clean. We felt safe
Large Harris County, TX park with nice blacktop one mile walking track surrounding a lake.
My kids love the park and clean environment exercise great perfect place for your family picnic and BBQ
Tom Bass is a park that is really nice to take your family to as they offer a variety of playgrounds ranging from small to big and even a small obstacle course that can be timed if you want. Their trail is approximately 1.1 miles and goes around a small lake you can fish from(no boating). They also have pavilions to host parties for families except there are a few and no nature trails that go into forests or things like that. However it is a place I go to and will continue to go to to race other people in the obstacle course.
We had a good day a family of six, it was safe there was no one else near us the park was empty. Good for a change of being locked in the house.
Its small but makes for a nice run. Can also do other work outs here. Covid has the equipmemt shut down but otherwise its a nice place. Your family can even come play and fish while your exercise, something for everyone to do
Best pokemon go battle field in the area. Love this park!!!
Great place to go fishing w kids. Not a lot of shade, so plan accordingly.
Very clean and love the areas. Wish Covid 19 didnt have it all closed.
I fill safe while I enjoy walking safely around the park.
It was beautiful my first time walking the trail will definitely go back nice and clean
All fished out. Its a pretty park and not too many snags to lose lures on, but the fish rarely ever bite. Much better places to actually catch something.
Great place to walk. Nice trails and scenery.
Enjoyed my walk around the track. I walked with someone and they couldn’t handle the elevated areas so they wanted to leave after one lap . I wanted to walk around a few times so next time I will go solo. It was a nicely paved track around water on a nice breezy day. Perfect!
I love this park great side walk great for running or skating .
Nice and clean great place where people keep social distance.Had a blast with my twin daughters and nieces enjoyed fishing at the park.
Pretty park. 1 mile+ walking track. Moderate rises for easy and slightly challenging terrain. Bench and swings over look large pond.
Went fishing in the early morning and late evening on the same day at five different spots. Had bites from a lot of turtles, but caught no fish. All fished out.
Very nice park with jogging or walking track with man made lake that you can go fishing.Nice rest places and two large covered patio for eating. Nice recreation facilities and restrooms. Large park with golf courses. You will have fun.
Poggers, so poggers that someone died in a parking lot
Great place to exercise. Nice track.
My 3.5 year old loved the obstacle course! I usually take my son fishing at the lake then play with him at the playground. This park has a diversity of activities that little kids and adults can get into. I have never had an issue with parking. This is a great park.
My furr baby chuy loves the dog park, as for myself I enjoy the relaxing 1 mile walk
Park is very nice with a medium sized natural lake to walk around and mature trees.

Loved my fishing experience here! It’s an amazing park and it’s clean!
Good spot to run and enjoy the lush green views. It does get a little crowded around the evening hours.
Its a really nice park to hangout with your family and friends. Theres a nice obstacle course for the older kids. And a play ground for the younger. Totally Recommend
Very hot, but I was able to finish all my workouts.
Great park to work out, play vball, part family events. The trail is in good condition to run on. I love the scenery of the lake some days you see ducks walking around.I like the obstacle course they have as well.
Its a very nice park, with lots of space and plenty of area to walk and run. They have barbecues here also and they do have more than one playground. Great place for pictures .
It was very nice. They do excellent job of maintenance and upkeep. Pits were in great working order. It was a little warm for us oldsters - normal in Houston this time of year - but I think the kids enjoyed playing in the park and the pavillions kept it nice for us oldsters. Also I agree with the rules they have about security.
Nice and quiet.Good walking trail......
This place is always clean and very secure and safe. Ni alcohol allowed kids friendly and family. Good place for family reunion or to just go for there is a seniors activity building open Monday through Friday
Great place to enjoy a walk or get some fresh air
My children and I absolutely love this park! Lots of families hanging, laughing, and playing with eachother. Obstacles course and soo much space. Its definitely not for the lazy, very active setting. We love it!
Beautiful park! We come here every now and then to walk the trails. The pond in the center is a pretty view for when youre jogging or walking the trails. The location is very convenient as well!
We had a big family picnic here with about 80 people. Everyone had an amazing time here because this park is the best as far as for the picnics, birty parties, any kind of get togethers. It has everything you need to arrange a get together.
Great fishing, walking and jogging spot, have not caught any fish yet though but certainly hope to as the weather warms up and the Bass start buting!
Great place for a walk and cook out
Nice place for a mile-long walk around a pond. Our dog loves it.
Didnt catch any fish but kids had a great time. Several playgrounds and new safe equipment. Nice walking path with places to cook or enjoy the view.
Peaceful. Great for an evening walk.
Nice, breezy trail. Enjoyed, shall return. Great workout experience.
This was such a nice park. Well maintained grounds with security visibly available. Lots of areas for familys to get together and have a good time. Definitely kid friendly with all of the playground equipment surrounding each pavilion. Would definitely recommend this park to others
Great place to bring children to play while I exercise.
Great place to go walking
Has a nice basketball court, that is almost never crowdedWell maintained tennis court and lots of space to do whatever else.Has a long walking trail!Great place to vist for a day out
It has wildlife near the ponds. My girls love it there! We use the ninja course a lot. All of the other playgrounds have full or partial coverage. There a lot of trees. The running path around the pond is great. Lots of incline, but less shade.
Great trail beautiful landscape and the golf course is very nice
A bit crowded, but it’s a nice park.
This place is awesome. So much to do in this park. Theres ducks and a fishing pier. You can also have parties and rent the shaded areas.
Easy access and really good fishing once the sun sets..top water bait was tearing them up..largest bass tonight for me around 7 or 8 pounds..Very nice healthy fish.I totally recommend it for the avid angler or the kids and beginners..Be sure to be out before 8:50 pm..it says 9 but they will lock you in if you are cutting it close..Give yourself an extra 10 mins to ensure no problems getting out.
We had a good time here!!! They have trails to walk on and swings to share and enjoy the out doors!!!
The dog and I enjoyed the walk today, it was not crowded, nice slightly cool & sunny. He an I really needed it Have a Blessed Sunday Day
Awesome park ! Kids had so much fun with the variety of play stuff in the park
Love it! My first time here and I think Ill be coming back more often to walk.
Very nice park. Expansive, clean and police around regularly at the pavilions. I come here to play Pokemon Go, and its easy to drive around for community day, etc.
Parks, places for cookouts, and ponds, what else do you need. Great place for a family outing.
Its a big park with 3 areas a golf course many of playgrounds tennis, basketball, bbq areas and a dog park but they stood out the 2 world championship disc golf courses they realy need to put up at least 1 disc golf course it brought alot of people to the park and was 1 of the reasons I bought a house in the area

Good and very polite workers and very clean. Good instructions.
Had a really nice walk.
Nice spot to catch catfish.
Beautiful park ... Green grass... swinging benches overlooking the water. I highly recommend this park to anyone looking to have a relaxing day or evening at the park
This park hav very good trail to run..I like a lote
Ive gone to this park for years and it is still one of the best around Houston. Its clean and family-friendly with the majority attending during the weekends and holidays. Police patrol the area constantly and are friendly too, sometimes Ive seen them cycling on the trails in the park. Lots of options to choose from including a volleyball area, an area to fly drones and plenty of space for football or soccer. Its a good place to relax or enjoy a jog.
Beautiful park but we attend yoga at community Center. Great teachers and it is free to seniors
