It was kool until the guy at the bar took it upon himself to give himself a 10 dollar tip monitor your credit card and check your account to ensure they charge the right price...
Sophisticated. Upscale. Remarkable. These are words that accurately describe this club. On entering, I immediately noticed the pool area which was lit both literally and figuratively with a general chill vibe. Inside was upbeat and vibrant with mostly EDM during my visit. We easily got drinks at the bar, and partied the night away with a fun crowd. Dress code was strictly enforced, so go there in style for a good time.
My friends and I loved the experience we had at Clé! Tiger Lily was DJing that day & she was amazing. We arrived about 5 PM & everyone was having fun and the drinks were good! We drank Long Island Ice Tea which were about $15 each & took shots. They also serve tacos for about $4 or $8 each if you’re hungry. You can swim in their pool which is a good size pool. The water was crystal clear blue like Miami! You can get a section on the bottom level or top if you like. The session was about $1500, but it’s worth it! Be prepared to dress nice like summer wear or in a swim suit because this place is all about it! They had dancers and a hula hoop girl! This is my type of scene ️
Ive read thru these reviews and was worried of attending the Erotic Ball last night. Glad to say my wife and had a blast. We were treated with the upmost respect walking thru the door til we left. There club is superb and definitely a reminder of Vegas. Drinks were a little pricey but they were strong and good. The best bartenders. We didnt see anyone hassled about their attire. A+ Classy club and well definitely return in the near future.
Beautiful venue. If youre looking to get great pics and enjoy a pretty location then this is the place for you...
Saw Borgore here on a Friday night in April. It was a good time! The dress code was casual, thankfully, so didn’t have any issues with that. Definitely recommend looking up the dress code for your event BEFORE you go because they really are strict about that sometimes. The drinks are expensive, but that’s expected. It’s honestly a really nice venue with a beautiful staff. This was my first time here, but I think it’d be an awesome day-party spot too.
I just went to cle to see kaskade. I was so anxious because of the reviews; however, it was a lovely experience. Everyone was very polite from the bouncers to the bartenders. Again, these reviews almost made me not buy tickets to the show. People were definitely dressed up, but they also let people more casual in. However, I came right at open so maybe some of the stuff people are talking about happened later in the night. Shots were $14 and beer $8.
Clé, what can I say. It’s a fancy overpriced bar that prides itself on being a faux Vegas or Miami club. Cover fees can be a bit astronomical at times, dress code is strict, and the club itself can feel small when you get inside the dance floor area. I’m not a club person so I’m already a bit biased against this place but my experiences there have been about what I expected. Music was alright, drinks were pricey, people were okay, and club cleanliness was better than some other clubs I’ve seen and been to. I give it 3 stars because of how expensive it is, it’s location (next to all the aggressive hobos), and small dance floor area. I’m sure if I went to their pool days it would be more fun but this is an honest opinion about the regular nights they have.
I attended a corporate Christmas party at Cle this week. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was dressed as a medieval farmer, and they were all eating turnips, carrots, beetroot and heads of cauliflower. All in all it was a great time.
Had soooo much fun!! This place made my trip to Houston so much fun. If you’re salty about anything at this club you probably just don’t know how to have fun. Thanks to everyone at Clé. The service was and the music was great!!
No social distancing, still providing drinks and acting as a bar during a global pandemic. The owners are concerned with making money and not concerned for any persons safety.
I took a last minute trip to see a concert here, not knowing what to expect (the website is pretty vague), but it turned out to be one awesome place. Although you want to be outside primarily, they have plenty of interior, air-conditioned space too. The main area outside and the pool is a really cool place to hang out, especially for a concert. I will be going back the next time I’m in Houston.
Very nice club - Clé! As we all know if you are taking the time to read this post that clubs can be hit or miss! Clé was definitely a hit IMO! The layout and atmosphere was unique and added to the cachet of the club! I would recommend a section as this club appears to be on the upper end of establishments that I have visited thus far during my short time in Houston! Although a section was not needed on the Saturday night I most recently attended it would be recommended; but with enough liquor in you with the right amount of friends around you can do without lol. You will have a wonderful time! Check it out if this is your thing. For those that are experts here, I am not much of a club goer but had a solid time here!
I paid the $60 entrance fee walked into the club and literally got kicked out 30 mins later. The bouncer confused me with a different black guy who was acting belligerent. I tried getting back in, but was not allowed. I was truly disappointed.
This place is nice inside and looks elegant. Unfortunately, it is other level overpriced and they will never let you in if you are not on the heels or dressed up. They barely let me in when I was in the jeens with fancy top. For the guys to get in is even harder
Outrageously expensive ($40 hookah and ($28 for two shots), bad vibes, and most importantly - THE DRESS CODE IS A JOKE. I wore a dress and heels for fear of being turned away at the door only to see bounds of women in sneakers. What a fascist way to trick people into destroying their feet. Will not ever return.
Good vibes
Over rated over priced. This place has rude staff. If you looking for a good EDM scene with the right vibes Stereo Live is the place.
The worst club ever. We were on public dance area but they asked us to leave because a guy asked the security to move us away from their table. We were not in private area. They pushed me and my face touched the exit door. Can you believe it? A very tall black guy pushed a girl. We were not even drunk. Worst club ever. Zero star. They just care about VIP people. If you are not VIP do not go there. Horrible place.
They had Above & Beyond for a pool party and honestly I had a horrible time. I only came to bring my mom to see them. People are rude. Everyone thinks they own the place. My favorite group of all time had a horrible mixed crowd of rich and obnoxious people. I will never attend this venue again. Even a fight broke out during the set. Just ghetto in my opinion. we drove 3 hours for this disappointment. Never again.
Don’t waste your time and money
Afterparty there for freaky Deaky was nice. Wasn’t so much afterparty but looked more like regulars drinking.
This place is full of rude service. Especially the bouncer. They only let the people they want in. Try to find a small excuse to not let you in, after paying my $20 of parking, it was a waste of money and drive. Thank you for your service!
Upscale place. Their staffs attitude aren’t that great. Very expensive. There are better clubs in Houston. Not sure why they think Houston needs a Vegas priced night club. But I suggest not coming here.
Wow this definitely helps. I was excited about reserving for my birthday here. I would hate for my party to be denied because we are brown. Thank you guys. I will go where my money is appreciated
Great environment people are friendly good waitress.
Pretentious bouncers who arbitrarily decide who can who can enter. Came with a large group of people and they let in everyone except for my husband, who has a beard. Their rule, no beards that night. Those who were let in tried to lobby for his entrance to no avail. All because of a beard. Go down to another club that recognizes religious freedom. To be clear: we all knew where we were going and dressed appropriately. The car, the clothes, the money, none of that was the problem. Just his beard, which he had trimmed the day before just in preparation for a night out. Go to another place and have more fun.
The Debo want to be manager (flannel shirt) of some sort believes he can intimidate anyone. I’m certain if he would have looked at who he was responding to with his snide remark beforehand he would have stayed quite. (Look before you speak) As he quickly walked way.Poor Management, improper planning and no regards to paying customers!
Night out with my husband, from the woodlands and Ubered here. Beautiful club, excellent music. VIP host, Mauricio is on point and checked on us a few times, got us drinks! For the first time here, I became in full party mode real quick! Awesome pic backdrops and drinks were “made well!” Will be back!
Ive been to clubs all over the world, and I wanted to see what all the hype was about this club. I wasnt impressed at all. $20 to get in, $10 to park your car, and my group was charged $620 plus tip for VIP, which included a champagne bottle and seating in the front corner (big whoop). Seemed like a bunch of fake people pretending to live a lifestyle they could only dream about and then when you leave the club reality kicks in when you get approached by a bunch of homeless people asking for money. I miss the days of Esco Bar, now that was a cool spot.
They get legitimate negative reviews removed somehow, so the actual rating is probably 1.5 stars. I cant remember my whole review, but long story short is that I bought tickets to an event and drove three hours, then they didnt let me inside because they didnt like my pants. Lets be clear, they were a plain black color. Meanwhile they let some ridiculous looking fruitcake inside who was wearing nothing below the waist but skin tight leopard print leggings. This venue should be banned from any online ticket sale services because it pretends to be an ordinary venue and uses that as a pretext to take your money. Thats obviously fraud.
Do not use their valet. I put Gucci sunglasses in my glove compartment to make sure no one broke my window to get them, and the valet stole them and tried to act like I was losing my mind when I had one drink and called them out before I even put my car in drive. Extremely rude. If you use them make sure everything is locked away. Extremely untrustworthy people.
This place is terrible, I have never see a place like this before.Since I am acostume to be treated wherever I go well and with respect but this time was not the same starting with the hassles in the valet parking and finishing with the bartenders. They think they are the best club but they are just scam, in this years I think places like this should not exist, where racist and bad service to others happens.
A lot of bad reviews regarding race are more than misleading. Girlfriend and I, are an average looking, middle class, black and Hispanic couple who had no problem getting in a big event. Yes, they have a strict dress code, so no tennis shoes. Men, were nice jeans, button up and decent dress shoes and youll be fine! This place is very similar to Vegas!!
Would let a fella in because he was BLIND. Not because he didnt follow the dress code, not because he was being rude or unruly, but because he has a disability. Police stood nearby and didnt do anything about it either. This club is NOT safe, and gets away with discrimination. Give your money to a club that has the decency to treat disabled people like people, not nasty club Clé.
Horrible place!!! My husband and I were turned away because of so called dress code. I had on a dress with boots. He had on a dressy sweater and jeans. We asked why ppl coming out were in tshirts and jeans but were still allowed in. Bouncer told us it was politics and the color of our skin. Literally those were his words!! Ridiculous!!!
I give it a 2 for trying. I understand trying to present an upscale vibe, but there is nothing upscale about waitresses walking around with their butt cheeks hanging out. Felt like a glammed up strip club. The grounds are nice, has a pool and poolside bar. But unless you plan on spending hundreds of dollars, get drunk before coming here. I went to order a Glen Morangie scotch neat and the bartender told me $54 dollars. I told the bartender I can get a bottle of 12 year GM for that price. Trying too hard.
Love going here! It’s always fun & if I can’t make it out, I always watch the stories on Instagram and they make me feel like I really am there!!! The social media for this place is the top of the line & the photos are ALWAYS dope! This place is really a KEY TO A GREAT TIME!! :)
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I bought a $60 ticket to see Kaskade a month in advance and was denied entry into the club even with my perfectly valid ID. When I asked for a refund, they refused and asked me to leave. The bouncer was rude as hell and this place is an absolute scam. Dont waste your time or money here. If youre looking for a good EDM venue, stick to Stereo Live.
Great, fun vibe. Clean. Great looking help and clientele. Ive had not problems at all with any doormen. They have a nice secondary room where you can actually go have a conversation and still hear the music. Outside pool is a nice addition. Just wish they had pool parties on Saturdays too.
Very exclusive place, best club in Houston, make sure youre well dressed. Just be polite and get there with 10 extra minutes of your time, & youll get in on nights. Nothing tops this place on Sundays with the pool party, I had a great birthday this week. Very good looking people everywhere .
How can you have a pool but cant bring in a bag with a change of clothes or towels?? Once inside noticed several people with bags
Well after reading others ppl cm about this place I have nothing to say anymore, before u go there to waste ur money read reviews abt them ...
The most sophisticated night club in Houston: famous DJs, glamorous swimming pool surrounding area, palm trees, and red carpet, of course.
I was depressed for my divorce. not need for sadness therapy since im party in Cle, because here is a 100000 beter that a therapy.
Would give 0 stars if I could. This club likes to break federal and state ADA law. Discriminates against people with disabilities at the door.
To most everybody who gave this place a one star: I dont see how you can hate from outside of the clubYou cant even get inIf you didnt get in, its probably cause you look like trash or the bouncer just doesnt like you. Get over it, its not racist and they dont owe you a pass in. Im white however i always feel like a minority there. People who go here are usually rich or famous, plus the drinks are expensive. If you didnt get in, come back later with a ton of cash in your hand wearing Gucci and a couple girls on your side; youll get in then. Stop hating cause you cant get in.
Stupit mean security. do not go to this place if you respect yourself. vip worshiping kind of place
Go to europe!!!!Finish at 2am hahahahahaha
Not service dog friendly. If you have a disability they won’t let you in, despite it being a federal crime. Horrible people
I did not like the music all that much, if it was house it would have been a real blast but the place is awesome... Miami in Houston!!
Don’t waste your time in here...
Crowded
Okay, so I left my debit card open there at the bar and tried to call them but they dont have anybody working on the phone which is inconvenient. The next day I came there and tried to get my card but they didnt have it and didnt let me talk to the manager. The front guy was the only one who could assist me with my issue. But apparently he said they dont have my card and I have to come back after their shift ends. Which is impossible since no one is replying the phone to let me know if they are open during the day or no. So my card was either stolen by the employee or they just do not care about their customers. Worst customer service provided!
Dont let the negative reviews fool you. This is a high-end establishment and with the environment comes the difficulty of maintaining their status. Sometimes that may mean some exclusion, but that is simply a necessary evil to ensure the rapport and popularity are maintained.
By far the best nightclub Houston has seen in a while. The crowd is top notch and super classy. Gorgeous staff and venue cant wait to go back!
Someone should llik the bouncer then. The world is full of messed up people good sit back and do nothing. While bad people keep hurting. I guess it’s time for the bad to get hurt.
Extremely racist. We could not get in until my friend who is a coach for the Broncos came to get us. Avoid this place at all cost! Spend your money somewhere that it’s appreicated! I’m from Vegas and although the decor and vibe here is somewhat similar save your coins and just Go to Las Vegas! I promise my city won’t disappoint you!
I was there for the Alex Sensation event on 12/14. Apparently alot of the folks that go to this club are racist I have never experienced this in a club so full blown racism been to mega clubs around the country this must be one of the worst as for the attendees that go there and if alex was not going to dj there that night. I would doubt spanish people will get in read reviews I AM NOT MAKING THIS STUFF UP. I am not saying the club is not nice yes it is but unfortunately its a one star. FYI management alex sensation is spanish Columbian.
Guys this is the worst club in the world. I was trying to record the video at the right stairs, but security pushed me down to the dancing area, I came back and told him I need only a few seconds, because I don’t see the DJ, and after that he started to push me outside the club. I was asking him about 15 times why are you doing this, and he didn’t say nothing, and keep pushing me, and I FELL AND SPRAINED FOOT. He pushed me outside to the main entrance and just left without any explanation. It was two sheriffs at the main entrance which saw that and they didn’t do anything. I started to ask one of them, his name W. Bible, what happened, I didn’t do anything bad, why I got kicked out, he said he doesn’t know and I can’t comeback inside, and he also said I can speak with a manager. I was asking him for the manager and then he said no manager anymore, I must leave. And his coworker, sheriff too, handcuffed me, and said you have to leave or you will go to the jail. Of course I agreed to go home. NOW I HAVE A SWOLLEN LEG WITH A BRUISE AND I CAN’T STAND ON IT. Guys don’t waste your time, your money your nerves and you health in this terrible place.
People need to realize that in order for a club to last and be successful, the bouncers have to keep out people that look like trouble, hood, ghetto, whatever you want to call it... But look at the pictures on the site, I see whites, blacks, Asians, Hispanics, etc... If you know this place is upscale, show up looking your best, dont go to the door with an attitude, take your best looking friends lol... Do what you gotta do... But this is why drink Houston died, the club had a dress code, no tattoos, no white tees, etc, that all changed and they started letting in everyone and the young ghetto crowd took over pushing all the rest out, no one wants to come to a club with a bunch of hood rats.... Club ended up closing down... I went two months before the close and you can tell the difference, I told my girl this place is ghetto and empty now... 2 months later it shuts down.... Dress code and good bouncers is how you keep a good club going.... Not hard to look good.... Cmon son!
The club in general is okay. I didnt like the music at all. If you like latino and hip pop this is not the spot to go to. Prices are ridiculous expensive. I wouldnt waste my time and money on this place.
Discriminates against Service and Guide Dogs.
People here think it’s upscale and classy. LMAO. Try traveling more. Houston doesn’t do the elitist thing properly, and I must say, I’ve been to some real exclusive clubs around the world and they felt more diverse than this trash place in the middle of the most diverse city in the United States. There is no reason I should see more people of color at the Nikki Beach in St. Tropez, a place with very few minorities, than at this club in the middle of Houston for Christ sake. Hahaha.
What a piece of s*** clubI had never met any racist people before ...had never felt that type of way when they looked at me up and down bs pulled me to the side for no reason. Purchased my ticket still no entry and no refund what a joke 2018 and we still have people that make you seem like less just bcuz of your skin color
One of the better places I’ve been
Cle makes an honorable attempt to bring Miami-style nightlife into Houstons downtown. And Cle does an excelent job at importing Miamis high cover and drink prices, while forgetting Miamis excellent music selection, doing quality, and lights.
The bouncers at the door are pretty bad. The club is bad because they racial profile the people and dont let you in even if you are well dressed. Even after standing in line for an hour the bouncer or doorman expects you to pay him for you to get into the club.I would recommend you go spend your money some where they treat you better and you get better service.
Based on the previous reviews, I had very low expectations. The club had a short line (it was raining) and a famous DJ playing that evening. The cover was reasonable and the drink prices were ok. They had free ice cream and beautiful servers. Not bad on a Sunday.
It takes forever to get in, even if youve purchased a table. Be ready to fork out tons of money for a sub par experience. The staff isnt that friendly, and the door guy is extremely selective on who he wants to let in. Youll get frustrated here quickly.
We had table reserved for 2 bottle minimum like they requested we said okay but when got to door I wasnt fit for establishment and it seemed like bouncer would let me in if I greased his hand everyone was dressed well because we came from Marc Anthony concert but nope. Oh well we didnt enter and went to other Club so fail on there part Real Talk
I love
I was discriminated against due to my incurable illness. I was told I wouldnt be allowed in because I didnt have heels, but yet my feet can hardly ever physically fit in any of my heels anymore.I tried explaining I cannot wear heels and tried explaining why and I was scoffed at and then ignored. Asked several times to speak to a manager. My illness is progressive and I just wanted to have fun since I can rarely ever do that as my illness worsens.
Its alright. Im not one for overly crowded clubs and Cle sure was crowded. Hey there early if you need to find a place to sit. Cocktails were good.
Went there to see an EDM concert and the doors to get in did not open until an hour after the stated time on the ticket. Wouldnt be an issue if it wasnt 100 degrees outside, and they didnt offer anyone water. Get into the main area and the management was still setting up the stage and other festivities so the dj was delayed getting on stage (unprofesional imo). Drink prices are higher here than at most other midtown bars. Overall, there are other, better bars/clubs in midtown for you to go and have fun, so I do not recommend this club.
New Channel 11 article about the owners and bouncer being racist and my friends actually experienced this. Big reason why I will not step foot in this place.Clubs are like high school anyways, four years and there gone.
Pretty bad. Very expensive, and the vibes were cringe.
Great club very nice service and cool place oh and the music is just so good
Been there once and had a good time together with friends. However, not impressed when I discovered that Clé had been charging my credit card multiple times with same amount for almost two months. Check your credit cards for fraud.
Awesome place not GHETTO as other clubs. Great staff
If youre not a white guy or a hot girl, good luck trying to get in without table service.Me and my friend had tried to get in three times and got rejected every single time. It wasnt until he made a reservation that we finally gained entrance.Too pretentious for my taste.Although I have to admit that theres plenty of eye candy in there.
Probably the coolest nightclub in Houston as far as venue is concerned. Its huge and packed so drinks can take a while. Do yourself a favor and just buy a bottle (or a few) and get a private section.
Very cool place with lots of Vegas energy. My experience was a good one because we got there early. They let us in right away. I liked the fact that they had an area with 20 plus beers on tap and many IPA options. The dance floor was fun and they really go out of their way for bottle service. Maybe not an every weekend spot, but forsure if you are looking for a energetic, fun, vegas type atmosphere then go there.
Went on a Thursday & will not be returning!
Bought bottle service. Was charged 40% gratuity for the worst service I’ve ever had. They were all very rude for a very average club.
Ill give it a 4 star for amazing decore. Its got 2 bars inside and a lounge pool with private cabanas outside.
I went with a group of friends for Halloween the year after last and while we didnt have much trouble getting in, we did have to talk down the cover charge. The club was pretty clean, but the drinks were overpriced and the music was generic. We didnt stay here long.
Never will I ever walk in this club! The manager was very rude and I felt like I was being racially profiled. We were celebrating my brothers 30th birthday and this club ruined it real fast! After giving them so much grief they allowed us to stand at the bar, but instead I went home, I will never spend my money at a place where I dont feel welcomed! Rudeness at its finest!
Came to houston from Florida on vacation and all the reviews are bad. Which people saying they dont let blacks or hispanics in. Im hispanic and my sister as well as her husband. We went in no problem. So not sure why the bad reviews. I had a blast. Overcrowded but it was fun.
My girlfriend and I had an AMAZING time at Cle’ last night. We didn’t have to wait to get in, the cover charge was only $10 each, and there were tons of people! The pool area is awesome and the dance floor was lit. Great music, vibes, etc. The drinks are a little expensive, but I expected that going in. Overall highly recommend this club!
Cle, what a disappointment!Went with a friend from abroad and my girlfriend, we planned to have good party night at Cle, after we were invited by a close friend of ours, although we paid for the Vallet, my friend and I were denied entrance, while the bouncer offers to let my girlfriend get inside. He didnt even care we paid for Vallet and waited in line, he just said Take your money back, I dont careWhat a bad a experience, Ill never go back there again.
This club/establishment is RACIST. Only “pretty elite white people” are allowed in. THE VALET WILL STEAL FROM YOUR CAR. This place is literally so racist, it’s ridiculous. It needs to be shut down.
Great events.
The worst club in my life. Will never come back!!!
They host an event tht clearly says it ends at 330am but yet they want to kick ppl out before 3 and say no one is no longer allowed. I heard bad things originally but now I’ve witnessed it in person. Save yourself the trouble and not even waste your time with these people.
Great place to have a day of fun at the pool!
