Such a wonderful experience! It truly reminds you of how far weve come as a society. From beginning to finish, it was a seemingly easy endeavor. The staff were extremely helpful and assisted in downloading the app (best if done before you get there) and queuing for the two tram tours (training complex and rocket park). There were so many exhibits any such a vast variety of sights to see! We went on both tram tours, watched the fifteen minute movie, saw the 747 shuttle carrier, and the Falcon 9 rocket. That you us about 3.5 hours and we definitely could have stretched it out longer. I would say get there early. At 10-11a, I felt it wasnt busy at all (during the week in October) and we were able to take our time. As the day carried on, it became progressively busier. If youve never been here, it is A MUST!!! Go already, you wont be sorry!

I can’t say enough about this place - very inspirational and full of history! I highly recommend taking their morning tour! We didn’t expect that it would be convicted before the museum is even open, so your group will have so much time and space to explore, take pictures and ask questions! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I also recommend coming on the days when you can sit and listen to the real astronaut! You won’t hear those stories anywhere else!!! Such a cool place! I wish it would be bigger and had even more things to look at - loved everything about it!

If youre in the Houston area, you might as well drop by this place. I did the $50 Space Expert Tour. It was very interesting. The tour took you on a tram to their other site where they keep the other rockets. It was 1.5 hours long and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I dont think you need to pay for parking because when I got there at 8:50AM and left at 11AM, no one was attending the gate and people were just driving in to park. Save yourself $5 and dont buy your parking pass online.

Space Center Houston was an excellent museum to visit. Our highlight was seeing the newly retired Falcon 9 Spacex rocket which flew the CRS-11 and CRS-13 missions. It was truly amazing to be able to see and touch such an amazing piece of history and flight hardware! There are several other extraordinary exhibits including a Saturn 5, the Apollo 17 command module, the test lunar module, and a converted 747 to transport the Space Shuttle model Independence. One thing I wish that was better would be the labeling system for their artifacts, some were not labeled in such a way that you knew if they were flight proven or replicas of the real thing.

Great place to learn about an unseen portion of our space history. People forget behind those astronauts are a lot of people making sure the mission goes smooth or has answers if they need it.We were lucky and got to see both the rocket park with the Saturn 5 and the astronaut training facility. The guide we had was great and kept the tour interesting and fun.Safety and protection from covid19 was very good and thorough in the main building and on the tram. As an aspiring engineer, I was very excited to see this museum and had high expectations. It totally met those expectations! I think they probably let too many people in at once (considering COVID) and all of the hands-on entertainment was still open, including the arcade, which I would say is currently unsafe given the circumstances. Although, they do a good job of offering some other hands-off entertainment as you move through the exhibits such as speeches by real astronauts and tram rides through the NASA center. Whether youre a couple on a date or a family of 5, this place has something interesting for you especially if you love science and space!

We came down from Dallas to visit here. This place was absolutely amazing, the last time I had been was when I was 8 years old. We spent 7 hours at the Space Center and my family enjoyed every minute. They had tons of hands on stuff for kids to do. They had a pop up science lab and the employee that conducted the lab was great. Children can learn a lot of scientific principles. The employees were very friendly and helpful. This is definitely a place worth visiting in your lifetime.

We (2 adults) visited the space center with no expectations, and had a great time learning about NASA. While a lot of the space center was geared more towards children or young adults, there is enough sophistication to entertain us adults too.The best part for us was the tram tour which takes you to the NASA compound, and into some of the buildings, training centers and finally to see a Saturn V rocket which was HUGE and super cool to get up and close with.Definitely recommend for all ages and family sizes

Space Center Houston tours are fantastic. Theyre coronavirus-safe. Call ahead to see whats on the tours. Picture is of the simulator lab where the astronauts train. The auditorium movie is a great retrospective. The Mission Control rooms (there are five of them now) are mostly unavailable ffor tours for obvious reasons. A new exhibit with the Falcon 9 has been added that is interesting if you can get it on a tour. The always popular Saturn V Park is definitely a highlight of the tour.

We were excited to check this attraction out given with both like flight history and space exploration. We went on a weekday. Not every busy. Easy parking. Kind of confusing where to go in. Tickets were a bit pricey at $30/person + $5 to park. There is a lot to see right when you walk in. A bit overwhelming as to where to start. They suggest using the Space Center Houston app in order to figure out what sort of tour you want to do: Astronaut, Mission Control, Engineer, etc. They were helpful- only downside is the steps were a bit all over the place from one side of the holding to the other. You also use the app to “order” tickets for the Tram Tour. Due to COVID, you have to get a boarding pass (free) so they don’t overload seats for social distancing. The Tram Tour was definitely a highlight. It took you over to see the Saturn 5 in the building it is housed. It is amazing! The guide was vey helpful and had lots of great details about the rocket. It is a sight to see! It was only 30-40 minutes long. Had hoped you would get to see more things or perhaps more about Mission Control. The other must see exhibit is the plane that carried the shuttle Independence which is set up outside. It is a sight to see itself and had lots of incredible details inside. A must see! One of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is outside as well.We also watched the movie in the theater. It is worthwhile. We meandered through the rest of the exhibits. They were “okay” but I felt that lacked a bit of depth. Seemed more “Disney-ish” rather than substantive. Near where we live in Ohio there is a Neil Armstrong space center - felt although it is much more dated, it had more detailed exhibits. One benefit it that everything is very handicap accessible. And all COVID guidelines followed. Wish we would have spent the $50/each and done the guided tour. But it started at 9am only and we were coming from 3 hours away so it wasn’t feasible.

There is a nice tram tour, just make sure you get the Houston Space Center app and use it to get in line before you enter because there can be over an hour wait.May not be the best place to go during covid. This is a great place to visit, and the exhibits are fascinating and informative. It seems appropriate for all ages. The reason I give it a 4 not 5 is the app did not do a good job of showing what was available and how to get to it. There were no paper guides, and the Center forces a visitor who wants to navigate their experience, to download and use the app. Bring a fully charged cellphone with you if you want to know your way around. That said, the staff was wonderful and the tram to the Saturn V was worth it.

This is a very common tourist spot in Houston, as most people do want to see where the classic line “Houston, we have a problem” originated. I am a fan of space and love learning about stars, planets, and solar systems - but I was alright visiting here once and calling it good. There weren’t a lot of exciting exhibits for me, the gift shop was alright, and the tours were decent. It was definitely something too sweet! As a personal opinion though, it’s not something I would visit more than once, but am grateful that I did go. If you’re a fan of space, check it out! If you’re not a fan, analyze the group you’re going with and make sure it’s a fun, enjoyable group to explore with.
