A life-long Houston native who has been lucky enough to play the Cypress Course 10 times or so. Have played golf all over the world and this course is as tough as it gets. I rank it up there with Firestone South and Troon, Scotland as 3 of the most beautiful and challenging courses I have ever played
This is one of the unforgettable golf club in my life. Well designed courses, difficult green. but most important is you can meet the founder of this golf, Mr. Jack Burke who was the legend of PGA golf. he always welcoming players and visitors. i got his signature in my cap and took the photo with him!!! Below photo shows theclub house.Cypress Creek Course, considered the more difficult of the two, is famous for its 236-yard No. 4, which hammered Ben Hogan for a 9 in 1971 and literally took him to his knees when he injured himself scrambling down the bank of Cypress Creek.Me in Cypress Creek Course? I had tried many ways of shots, but my average is double bogey in this hole. hmm
Best golf course in Houston. Greens on Cypress Creek course are fantastic

As always it was outstanding very good golf course
Best golf club in Houston. My dad was a member in the ‘60’s and now a friend lives across the street form them. I have such great childhood memories. Jimmy Demaret and Jackie Burke really hit it out of the park when they developed these courses.
Always a great place to celebrate at.
Great course, friendly staff. good food. fast greens, crazy challenging holes

The private Champions Golf Club is home to the Cypress Creek course (venue for the 1967 Ryder Cup), as well as the George and Tom Fazio designed Jack Rabbit course. The Cypress Creek course is a championship layout that ranks with some of the best in Texas. This tree-lined parkland course provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. This private course is generally playable only by members and their invited guests.
My husband and I love coming here on our off days!
The course is in perfect shape. Tees, fairways, greens are exceptional. And it is great to see Mr. Burke at the club smiling and telling jokes.
We have a social membership. EVERYTHING about Champions Golf Club is first class. Food and service are the best. The facility is gorgeous. The people are a delight. As good as it gets.

Champions driving range and golf courses... A members only club with exceptional greens and views that are strongly hard to believe to be still in existence right of 1960s area.
