What a great place to play! It’s also not too far from the port so I can end the night on my boat!

I worked for river oaks country club in the beginning of 2020 amid coronavirus pandemic and i can honestly say working here was a struggle for many reasons. I will admid that it is a very professional looking establishment, but very corrupt in its own ways. I dont recommend visiting nor do i recommend giving them any business.

2019 US Men’s Clay Court Championship - go the first Saturday and Sunday for the men’s qualifying and it is free to enter the tournament. This year Good Company is catering the event, Beck Prime lost it finally! Time for a change

Love coming here every year for the Clay Court Championship! They update it every year and this past one was the best yet! The overhaul of the entire event was amazing! Sad that the championship falls on Easter this year so we will not be able to attend. The one thing that needs updating are the stands. They are very tight and not comfortable at all; hardly any leg room.

Wonderful place for our company Christmas party! Only drawback was the time it took to get there because of Christmas light gawker traffic. Be sure to allow an extra 20 to 30 minutes for this!Facility, Food and Service were all exceptional.

Attended a lovely lunch event here in support of the Alzheimers Association. The speakers and lunch were superb. Beautiful event venue.

Yup, when its time to relax & kick the heels up. Order the T- Bone steak with the lobster tail glass of Merlot its like home.

Beautiful grounds and building, one of the best country clubs in the entire U.S. I have been there as a guest for dinner- always excellent, even with large scale dinners, events- again excellent or for the clay court championships- again perfectly well organized. If you ever get an invite go. Membership is highly sought after with a multiyear waiting list and 6 figure initiation fees.

Lights at Christmas are magical! But try to park off San Felipe and walk up & down River Oaks Blvd. Trying to drive Lazy Lane/Del Monte/Inwood not the best idea!

This venue is outstanding for the Clay Court tennis tournament every year. This retro, wooden stadium is intimate, and no matter where your seat is located, you are right on top of the court action. A word of advice: this is a stadium of benches, not seats. Buy a stadium chair so that your buns are padded and you have some lumbar support.

Ive never been inside this country club before, Im only rating it 5 starts because sometimes I drive past it in pure awe of how large and amazing it looks. It is absolutely stunning from the outside. Im sure thats about as far as I will get into this country club but nonetheless the outside view is spectacular

As an X employee . feel they are unfare.with there employees. playing favorites., with those. that kiss a....A lot. Some of the members are, super nice. others. rude, and obnoxious..Just like some of the, management..very few English speaking employees...Hard to communicate with. members, And others..would never recomend, any one to work there...Bad news..very, discriminatory, in many ways...

We went to go see the Christmas lights at River Oaks for the first time this year. After years of listening to the hype, honestly, I dont know what the fuss is about. It was overrated and left me disappointed. The mansions however, were beautiful.

Had a blast here with my son and my niece. We seen all the Christmas lights they had up, it was definitely a site to see. We will be returning next year. :)

Really great Christmas lights going down the road that leads there. On christmas eve theres a lot of traffic, which is cool bc you get to drive slow and appreciate it. But dont see it if youre claustrophobic or dont have time. Its a dead end col-de-sac. Once you enter, youre committing to the whole thing.

Grand and glorious as suspected. Wonderful expansive view from the main ballroom. They insist on parking your car for large events. Plan on at least a 10 minute wait to leave.

The pool looked under maintained, in need of new flooring and carpet. Window cleaning seems necessary, granted the time of year is not pool season, then again i expect the River oaks country club to have heated/year round swimmable pool systems.

As an Uber driver I despise the white privilege of riders that I drop off here. Our rates are half that of a cab and these entitled self important people don’t tip! Sheesh!

The Country Club is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and the tables are decorated to impress and wow you.

Lots of beautiful lights but the weather was cooler than we wanted. The drive through the area was the best we could do to enjoy the Christmas lights.

Went for a seminar. They served breakfast and it was outstanding. Great staff and beautiful place to host an event.

One of the most Prestigious locations for large events. Centrally located in the River Oaks area which is one of the wealthiest parts of Houston. I was impressed by the quality of the food considering our party was 200+.

I went to see the light and Christmas decorations because I heard it was I most do, and its beautiful, every house looks different and it make you feel the Christmas spirit like in the movies.

I love going in April to the US mens clay Court championships. One of the best places to see pro tennis because you are simply feet away from the players

My family has been members for generations. And even though I did not grow up as a member, they always treated me top notch when I was a visitor. My mother also had my engagement part there (1st husband) and it was beautiful.

Went here for a Rehearsal Dinner, a really really nice rehearsal dinner. There was at least 600 people in their large Ball room. I had never been to the Country Club, but had always heard stories of its elegance and opulence. They were all true. It was like being taken back in time to what some of the olden times of Houston used to be like. The ballroom over looks the well groomed golf course and even at night it is beautiful. The meal was also well prepared. When catering for this many people it can be tricky, but the Clubs chefs totally pull it off. The Bride and Groom specifically requested baskets of their famous fried chicken be put on each table as well as the main course. I had also heard stories of this legendary fried chicken and I must say it was some of the best. I couldnt imagine the epicness of what it took to put on such a grand party, but the River Oaks Country Club did it perfectly

I attended a fundraising luncheon here today and was quite impressed with the Country Clubs ability to handle a very large influx of guests (valet), excellent service, and excellent food.

Nice venue, red clay courts and lots of good players for the ATP tournament
