The hall is well designed and has good light quality.Unfortunately the sound system had glitches during the concert. The staff are not very polite. The location is inside the UH campus and very convenient for students.

The only reason I didnt give it a five is parking. Long walk for senior citizens. They should consider a shuttle on performance nights. The hall itself is very nice. Loved the Home Free performance.

Great acoustics and not really a bad seat in the place. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the refreshments are located downstairs and it can be difficult to navigate up and down when dressed up in heels and carrying 2 glasses of wine. However the selection of wine and spirits was really top notch! Of course they were a little high but the pours were heavy and the quality was great. I also purchased the cheese platter. It came with a few pieces of several kinds of cheese, a few different kinds of olives and some crackers. All very delicious. The lines were a little slow in getting the refreshments and the journey back was a bit stressful navigating through the narrow and steep flights of stairs. But my seat was cozy and my view was good and even though my neighbors were chatty cathys i was able to hear perfectly.

From the parking garage nightmare to the noisy misguided staff to the never there ushers, lets hope acts worth seeing pick a better venue. But at least the restrooms are pitifully small and less than inviting.

Attended the Annie Liebovitz talk. Great evening. Great venue. Easy to get to, but if you are going during rush hour take the alternative route. You can also leave early and support UH students majoring in hospitality by having dinner, a drink, or both, at Eric’s located in the Hilton, about .2 miles from Cullen. We parked underneath the Hilton. Easy walk and easy getting out after the show.

A blast from the past kind of building. Old school granite. This one was built to last the test of time. Felipe Esparza was AWESOME! The two bartenders in the basement were the BEST with drinks, convo, and entertainment. Were definitely going back!!!

The building was really shabby. Seats that were sold had been physically removed. Three inch screws were left protruding from the floor. Some seats had no backs. There was dirt all over the floor and debris in the seats. Theres no atm and refreshments were cash only.

The fact that staff comes around, telling people that they cant hold seats for their family members, is really unsettling. Everyone cant arrive at the same time and were there to support family and were in the same room but CANT sit together? Thats not cool and its very rude. Leave people alone so they can enjoy themselves, dang. The restroom situations are challenging also. ONE stall on the main floor and having to walk down to the basement is challenging for a lot of people. Thank goodness Its only once a year that we have to go through this. Other than that, its fine.

Great venue for a stand up comedy show. Good quality sound. The only aspect they could improve is seat numbering. They have too many sections. Therefore, non-consecutive seat numbering is an issue for someone who is not familiar with the venue. Other than that, great place.

Seats are way too close together and no leg room in the balcony area... saw Bert kriescher there and the event started an hour and half late. We were crammed in like sardines and couldn’t move. My legs and knees were bruised due to being jammed into the seats in front of me. Horrible experience

My boyfriend and I had a pretty bad experience last night during Brain Candy Live. Our seats were close to the back of the auditorium, and the ushers had no idea what they were doing. We missed the first 10 minutes of the show because there were so many latecomers. So instead of either holding all of the late people in the back of the theater until the transition between skits, the ushers just kept seating them. But instead of quietly walking people to their seats, the usher would loudly give them directions while standing in the aisle. Myself and another person seated next to me asked the usher to please move or to talk more quietly, but he just kept talking. He finally stopped when the sound guy (we were seated right next to the sound both) told him to leave or be quiet. The usher acted like he had never been to that theater. Or any theater for that matter. Absolutely terrible.
