A nice, entertaining, and hidden gem in Houston. I really felt like I went back in time thousands of years ago. The little food stands and souvenir areas were closed, maybe because of COVID, but other than that, I had a great time here.

What an amazing little place. It was very different and entertaining. We got to see really cool things and you can take pictures with almost everything. Its perfect for young kids or just you and your significant other. Tickets were also pretty cheap. Cant believe I used to live so close to this place & I barely went. Definitely a must see.

I took my kids to Lucky Land over the Christmas break. I was floored by what I saw. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The environment is peaceful and the grounds are well maintained. There are fountains, gardens, models, and a little market-like area where you can get some concessions. In this same area, which is kind of like a courtyard, is a dragon head you can control. My kids had a lot of fun here. It is open air and very nice to walk around. At the end of our visit, my kids went to play on the drums.Inside you will find a few different themed areas like the Happy Panda Village and an area of life sized Transformers. These Transformers were really cool. The sheer labor alone to put it all together is admirable, never mind the scale to which it was done. The employees were all welcoming and warm. Love this place. A real gem in Houston in an unlikely place in town.

Wow what a great find in Houston! I took my kids on weekday around 11AM and there was NO ONE THERE! Literally had the place to ourselves. Thank God for Google Maps because I would have never found this place. So much to do and see you can easily spend over an hour here with the kids. When we went it was cold that day so we wouldve stayed longer but my daughter was getting irritable with the weather. I loved all the different displays so many picture worthy scenes and sets. My only gripe is I wish they had displays that talked about more in depth the history of China and the customs. I wanted to my kids to learn more about the culture however they still had fun running around looking at the different exhibits and taking everything in. A definite visit for kids/families in the Houston area!

So enchanting, but they need evening hours so we can enjoy when its cooler. Also, there was a strong smell of moth balls. However,it is a very neat cultural place with Chinese atmosphere and setting details. Check it out for some whimsy and pull your friends in the old taxi around old China.

What a tremendous place to visit! I attended during a festival (Lunar) and so there was a lot going on- possibly things that arent normal. The staff was very friendly and the beauty of the location just blew me away as the area of the city it is in, isnt very pretty or special seeming. There were food booths outside- skewers & boba teas... also rice dishes too. Pretty reasonable. So many photo ops and scenes laid out for capturing the spirit of wander and the beauty of the Chinese Culture!

Nice place! Peaceful and perfect for taking pictures! Some unannounced fees: parking lot $ 2 (I hope they will use this money to fix the parking lot, it is a dirt road now, and I was worried about my tires!); riksha (tip based, I paid $5 for a ride of an adult and 2 kindergarteners); $10 - Chinese outfit rent (we ended up buying the rented dress for $20, my daughter loved it); fish food (a quarter or they also have $1 cups of fish food); then if you are planning to buy any souvenirs or have a lunch -add some more on the top. But they waived my six y.o. entrance fee so we saved $5.) The staff is super friendly, they have a lot of different mascots (panda, a Chinese boy, dragon), you can play the drum at the Panda garden and the entrance. It took us 1.5 hours to see everything and enjoy the peaceful Chinese music and decor! Highly recommend. PS: the park was open less than a year ago, so they are still working on it, I guess.

What a gem in the city of Houston! I was SO impressed by Lucky Land. Is it huge? No, but a great value and super interactive. Easily can spend 1.5-2 hours here. Bring your good camera because the photo opportunities are just plain fun. There’s a cool off zone if you’re overheating and umbrellas to borrow to provide extra shade. Because this place is very culturally rich, get more out of it by watching a video or have your kids do some research before they come.

Staff was incredible, super friendly and I was fortunate enough to be there on a slow time and was given a complete tour by the manager who also acted as my personal photographer. Will definitely return if ever back in Houston area!!!! Plus the souvenirs were priced extremely well considering souvenirs are usually way overpriced but NOT HERE. What a beautiful, peaceful, friendly place. This place is like an outdoor Chinese museum with beautiful artifacts. The staff was incredibly friendly and everyone treated us like they were genuinely happy to be there. We visited today and everyone was treated to FREE lunch and when we asked the staff why they were giving away free food, the gentleman said “we are so happy for the new year”. They were being nice just because they were happy! What a great place! I definitely recommend this place. We took our toddler and he was able to enjoy everything. We will be coming back soon. I visited Lucky Land 8/11/19. Expected a great experience only to be disappointed. Parking was a pain because the flea market used the entire area. I barely got a spot. Everything was closed, NO restaurant or performances. The exhibits were damged. Many of the statues are broken without heads, cracking, chipping. I was anxious to see the scale replica of chinese terra cotta army. Many of those figures had no heads and were toppled over. Emperors horse had no legs. The village was cute. But you can see it needs repair as well. The chinese pottery was lovely. They used fake plants throughout the park, not sure why. I felt it made the place look cheap. Real plants would be so much better. Touring the park took under an hour. The employees working there were very nice, but unable to answer questions. I asked when they planned to hold more events. Figured to try a second visit if theyre planning new shows. I hoped to see dancing and a martial arts exhibit. Bottom line dont waste time or money on this. I hope they were honest about the park being under construction. Time will tell. I may check back with them in the SPRING 2020 see whee theyre at. This place could be gorgeous if they do the repairs. I would love to have a place nerby to appreciate the chinese culture.

Im never inclined to write a review but the people are incredibly nice, the ambiance is so relaxing and beautiful...Ive yet to try to food but I have high Hopes! This was a gem to find in Houston. There are thousands of terra-cotta soldier statues amidst a beautiful garden. There are other life sized metal statues of everyday life in China. There is a miniature city with figurines, a Buddha corner, a panda corner, and pavilions to buy food and drink. They are building a bamboo awning. The people working there were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

Maybe Friday evening was a bad time to come here, but my experience was not like the rest of these reviews.First, the area this place is located does not seem the safest. At every light, there were numerous people knocking on windows along the street.Second, the parking lot is just a plot of dirt with numerous signs reminding people they are not liable for any theft or injury on the premises.Third, we were the only customers there. When we walked up, all the kiosks were closed and we honestly thought it must not be open today. A woman then appeared insisting it is open and it would be $10 each for us to go in. We politely declined and decided to leave.Again, maybe we chose the wrong day to come, but it did not seem worth the trip to get there or the money.I gave it two stars because the building itself looked nice and, from photos, the inside looked like it could be nice, but I really wish the location was better thought out.
