The world of Kabuki was excellently explained in English and performed here at the Kennedy Theater. Very impressive and inspiring performance!!! Since stage setting plays an important role for Kabuki, this theatre did a great job to host Kabuki in Hawaii 2019. Only dissatisfaction was a limited parking space. Max hours of parking (3hrs=$12)were a little short to watch Kabuki. It will be very difficult to find a parking space if you come to the parking at the last minutes.
Here you will find unique and outstanding theatrical performances. The Last King of Bali featured Balinese shadow puppetry and an authentic Balinese rhythmic orchestra called a gamelan.
Went there to look at some work to provide price for repair work. Looks like a great place.
Their Late Night student series has unique shows, and their Asian Performance program is unparalleled.
What a great Performance. Kabuki well done. Very captivating, Awesome
Kabuki in Hawaii 2019 was wonderful! I hope it isnt another 52 year break before they return...
Its a nice theater, little tight in the rows if youre tall.
This was a great venue for my sons birthday concert. Dont sit in the first few rows. The view is better a little higher up.
Situated at the University of Hawaii; filled with cultural events.
Parking during other events is terrible. You still have to pay to park, even though the parking lot is full.
Watched a show here. The show was great but the sound wasnt the greatest. Not sure if its the venue or the sound booth guy. The venue is showing is aged though since I went to college a long time ago.
Nice seating, nice interior.
Beautiful facility with great offerings on stage. Plenty of parking after 6pm (small charge for it, but free on Sundays I think). A real theatre!
Always a pleasure to see the often quality performances in this nicely scaled space. Good acoustics lighting and HVAC system. Comfortable seating and handicapped parking, as well as ground level entrance around the corner from the restrooms, avoid the stairs makai and mauka necessary for most patrons. Come early or stay late and enjoy the Japanese tea garden in back of Jefferson Hall. There are no unfriendly ghosts there. Parking is a bit hit and miss
Good venue with lots of parking. Comfortable seating.
Saw performance on 7/20/18. Children on stage did a great job, but the sound system was terrible. They played the music accompaniment too loud. So loud that it drowned out the sounds of the children singing. Funny that the directors didnt check on that during rehearsals.
Awesome theatre program and awesome venue!
Nice clean and cool

Went to A Manoa Christmas production and was blown away by the staff and students! Great performances!

The theater is a bit rundown could use a tune up. Especially for a college university
