Just went to the Harry Potter Goblet of Fire / Honolulu Symphony production, live music really enhances the movie! This was the fourth of the movie/symphony series, but the first time Ive been ... would definitely go again! Went early anticipating bad traffic, but it wasnt bad at all. They had all sorts of snacks and accessories for purchase outside and in the lobby! Fun evening!
Big building in the heart of Waikiki. Definitely older and needs some work but does the job for events. The box office is in the front, opposite side of the parking garage. You will want to turn on King Street to get to the parking garage. As of May 2018, parking was $6 cash. Tiny stalls so try and park up top. Fish for the children to look at and lots of activities so go online and see whats there. Most are usually free!
Saw Rent, the cast did a wonderful job of invoking a wide range of emotion from both myself and my date. Heres to hoping the remainder of the 20th Anniversary tour goes just as well. The theater was well ventilated, properly staffed with friendly and helpful individuals, and the seating made it easy for everyone to see and enjoy the performance.
Nice intimate venue. Smaller venues allow for a more personal experience. Clean facility, friendly staff, just make sure you eat before you go......the stadium food isnt very good nor is it affordable.
Our Honolulu Symphony Orchestra is really, really good! They are teaming up with some great partners to bring us some exceptional performances!Make time to take in one of their programs, youll be surprised. The venue is nice. Seating has spacious aisles and the restrooms are adequate and clean. The Docents are very friendly.
Enjoyed performance of Rent. Sound system could have been better. Could not hear all singers clearly.
I like to sit closest to the stage so I can see the artist. This time I had balcony seat. I usually dont sit up there but I chose a seat where theres no one in front of me. And could see the entire stage. Would recommend balcony row H, middle section.
Attended Jim Brickman Concert. Acoustic in Concert Hall was excellent. Many ushers to assist you finding your seat.
Great night as always.Tonight we were able to catch Rent. Great cast, and the whole family enjoyed the show.
Pretty nuts how seats one and two are center stage and the even numbered seats go west and the odd number seats go east. The sound is great in this venue.
Great concert venue which holds many major performances. May need some renovations since this was constructed in the 1960s.
Went to the Blaisdell to watch Phantom of the Opera.Absolutely one of the best productions Ive attended. Great actors, singing, stage sets....and awesome orchestra.Thank you for the enjoyable event.
Johnny Mathis concert was great! His voice is as smooth as butter after all these years!
Our Neal Blaisdell Center is best viewed and appreciated for what it is, a true Classic of Honolulu old school design. It could use some updates in the next decade that make it an even more people friendly place. Please check out this venue if the opportunity comes
Every show Ive attended here has always been an amazing experience. Seats are comfy and views are always good. And always cant wait to see what comes next.
Balcony seats provided the perfect view of the stage. Comfortable. Clean. Good sound quality.
Great place to sing in, Acoustics are good. Needs remodeling for such a beautiful space.
Blaisdell is set for a major remodeling rebuild I will get pictures of the plan shortly.. there are many wonderful events. The location is very easy to travel to by bus or by car..great parking and the security guards are well trained..always use caution when visiting at night..
Johnny Mathis Christmas concert was magical. At 84 his voice is still strong and his enthusiasm was infectious.
Lots of good seats. I just wish they served more beer options.
I like it. Even if youre on the top rows you still have a pretty good view.
Great place to spend a relaxing evening with talented Hawaii Symphony Orchestra.
Very nice venue, could use some better food options. Maybe a food truck Court.
This place is very nice, but for the women, I suggest using the bathroom to the far left corner when you enter, its nicer. Depending on what you come to see theyll either permit you to eat and drink while inside or not. Also, do not take pictures or videos while they are performing, it is not permitted. Weve started coming here and we loved it so much that we go pretty often.
Went to the concert hall and saw Rent.... they were awesome.
Great acoustics but this theater has no handicapped access to the balcony which is really unfortunate for those who wish to sit upstairs for the view but are prevented from doing so. My season tickets are front row center balcony for 19 years and eventually I will no longer be able to climb the stairs to access them. How sad. Time for the installation of an elevator or escalator and a total refurbishing of the concert hall.
Seats a little tight for Hawaii peoplw. Either the seats or the stage need to be angled more for better viewing. Hawai Symphony concert was outstanding along with the vocal performers!!!
I attended an event at the Concert Hall on September 6th. it was very clean qnd getting in was handled efficiently. The acoustics are good there. Unfortunately, if a taller person is sitting a row in front of you, you cant see the entire stage.
Just watched Phantom of the Opera.. Great play. Excellent venue. Over issue:. it got warm at times.
I saw the Ballet show The Nut Cracker and it wqas amazing. The event ran smoothly, everyone had an amazing time and the abilitity to meet some of the cast before hand gave me a sence of great connection to thw performanceI was at the back and still felt right part of the action.I highly recomend both seeing the Nut Cracker and any other show put on here.
Excellent great time. Fun concert venue with decent parking.
The Honolulu Symphony orchestra just played the most gorgeous music! Students of any age with Id get in for $15
Amazing venue and easy, accesable parking! The inside of the concert hall was very cool and comfortable though the lobby was hot.
Seats are old, but otherwise everything is great. i could hear everything from the balcony, and i could see all the performers from the balcony. consistently pleased here. plenty of parking. good theatre. feel the aloha.
Get there early in any if the event to give you time to find parking
Awesome place for concerts! Amazing audio visual and it was very air conditioned!
The seating was comfortable, the show was great, but they need to be able to accommodate larger crowds with better restrooms.
All around great first time experience. Very hospitable staff and ushers.
Great seats and good leg room.
This time I was able to watch The Phantom of the Opera and I enjoyed it immensely.
Went to see a magic show. It was terrific.
Hawaii Symphony Orchestra plays the music of Queen... Awesome!
Many great memories have been created here since childhood
Always had many wonderful events of all kinds with quality service and experiences
Johnny Mathis Christmas Show great
Phantom of the opera was good but your AC was so hot
Wish had more seating outside. Lobby too hot
Ballet Hawaii was AWESOME SAUCE!
Great venue for ballet and the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra. Seats are a bit oddly laid out with a lack of aisles breaking them up for access.
Went to see Ali Wong and Bill Maher. When I arrived 30 minutes early over 100 people were waiting outside because the doors were not open. Why?They told me they open doors 15 minutes before showtime. Most venues allow people to enter one hour before showtime. They need more ticket takers and to be better organized. The venue is old and needs upgrading (old carpeting, etc.). I went to buy bottled water and had two choices: (1) wait in the liquor line which took 20 minutes (cash only) or (2) go outside and have to go through another security check. WHAT A HASSLE! When I finally got to the bar I asked staff why they dont have a counter just for water. She referred me to the City and County of Honolulu. Once the show began the entry doors at the back of the hall were left open. People were talking as they entered and light from the lobby was a distraction.
The concert hall itself is great, and some great performances are held here. Theres food and drink, and your seats are easy to find. Staff is cool too. I deduct 2 stars because of the parking. The parking lot is a major pain in the rear! First off, there will be major traffic to get into the lot. Took me 40 minutes to get into the lot from just up the street. If there are events at both the Arena and concert hall, this parking lot will get full up. Fast. It is a mad free-for-all to find a parking spot. If you do manage to park, after the event, it will take 30+ minutes to leave because the exit gets so congested with cars. Great place for an event, but get here EARLY for parking, park elsewhere or Uber/Lyft here.
They bring in great shows
Amazing time at Mike Tysons live show, came all the way over from Ireland while I was pregnant, absolutely loved it. Got to meet Mike briefly after the show, was well worth it. I wanna come back to Hawaii again when my babygirl gets a little bit older definitely want to come back.
Great food and great service. Will be back again for sure.
Great date night spot
The concert hall could definitely do better to improve wheelchair accessibility. When someone buys tickets here, they must call in to Ticketmaster where they dont have a choice of section. We were put in the very back even though no one else was sitting back there and there were plenty of wheelchair spaces nearer to the front, listed at the same price. Plus, the spaces are at an incline, which is uncomfortable. The venue only offered a board to place under the wheels, but that reduces independence.
Shen Yun was performing at the concert hall....it was very beautiful and interesting
Restrooms arent that great, but the venue itself is nice. Watching a play or any performance is always nice here.
Great production of Rent
Farmers market on Wednesday got some good deals on veggies and fruits, and interesting choices for food.
Awesome facility for all kinds of events..no matter where you sit the view is awsome
They mad lots of improvements but now the parking is very expensive. If you can look for street parking.
My son took us to watch the Phantom of the Opera! LOVED IT!!!!
Ali Wong show. Fantastic
Needs more parking but other than that its a awesome place
Great phantom of the opera show.
Watched an MMA fight here, easy and inexpensive parking. Cool venue!
Valet parking was great. Performance great. Seating comfortable.
Comfortable seats. Which theaters seats were as comfy as these
We came here to watch Phantom of the Opera. My only complaint is that it was pretty warm inside and we had to fan ourselves the entire show.
Loved the Phantom of the Opera.
Traffic was horrendous, crazy & stupid. But the Phantom was awesome.
Enjoyed a symphony tribute with my Sis! The Journey tribute was great and the lead singer was so involved with the crowd!
Best Christmas concert
Johnny Mathis 83 fantastic never lost it and has honed his talent to a higher level. Chances are we will see him again next December 21 and 22 2019
Loved going to the opera or concerts
Johnny Mathis can still put on a great Christmas show!
Valet service was efficient!
Would have gotten 5 stars if they pumped up the AC when it is a packed house and it has been humid outside for the last several weeks.
The place is fine but it could be better. Outside of the Broadway shows that come, the performances lack visual style. The audio is often mostly good but there is often a mic that isnt quite right. I have such mixed feelings. It is fine: Perfectly so But it could be so much better. I guess its. Catch-22. Need money to make improvements. People wont attend until there are improvements. Want to attract a younger crowd but the older crowd spends the money
Went for Kamehameha High School Christmas Concert 2018. Ample seating, a bit cool in the Concert Hall, bring a jacket.
Great acoustics, as long as you dont sit under the balcony.
Disappointed show..not my cup of tee..
Good area for events. Went there to see Paw Patrol Live with my wife and kids. Will go back for other events.
Misora Hibari Music Festival commemorating 150 years since the first Japanese immigrants came to Hawaii (gannenmono). KIKU TV thank you for holding the drawing.
Love this.place usually see HSO or opera never a bad seat
