It was very beautiful. Nice and quiet. Made for a very nice place to take the time to enjoy the day for a moment. The wildlife was amazing and the area was very clean and well looked after.

This is a great place to meditate, workout or just enjoy nature. Many people were out sitting in their cars, sitting under the shelter or playing with their dogs. Everyone was socially distancing. My friend and I had an amazing time there and will definitely go back!!

Very pretty park with a picnic shelter overlooking the water. Looks like it has multiple RV hookups. Huge trees that are a perfect spot for a picnic. Lots of Canadian geese. No real trails but still very peaceful.

Its a relatively small simple Park but there are few picnic table shelters and open space. Theres a hill, from the parking lot, that goes down to the water and theres decking out there so theres plenty of places to enjoy looking at the water or fishing. Its very beautiful. I wish there were a little bit more shady areas right close to the waters edge.

Good spot, but not so good with kids. They have 2 shelters on 1 side and I believe 3 on the other. Was quite hot when we went there but near the water it was breezy and kinda cool.

This place is a total gem, at least for me. Usually very quiet spot to take in a great view. Ive noticed lately that some of the birds and geeze are a bit aggressive, which means folks are feeding the animals. Most times a loud noise will send them away, just be aware that some of these geese are as big as a toddler!

Nice place to relax. They have couple of shelters for picnics and they have maintained it pretty well!

The North Overlook is my place of peace. Good playground on the south end for the kids, too.

What a great place to just hang out with family and friends.

Super cute park. Perfect for picnics and celebrations. There is a dam in the middle of the park, and on one end of the park there are swings and a mini playground. Across the river you can see a beautiful golf course, and enjoy a gorgeous sunset while sitting/standing at the hill top. Running up and down the hill is a sure way of getting an awesome workout. There arent many trees in the common areas, so it may not be the best place to be at noon on a summer day, but as I said before, sunsets are beautiful, so near closing time is a great time to go.

Great location. Easy to find. Nice venue for outdoor concerts & the like. Includes a lovely lake, and nights provide a clear view of the sky, moon & stars. Sunset sets are amazing too!

Very nice place for a date.

The park is nice to go for a walk and look out at the lake. Fourth of July here was fun with a nice fireworks display above the lake and a little variety if food vendors. Parking was $10, but very organized. The band that was contracted for the night was playing older music which I thought was awesome. They even sang a Bruno Mars song for the younger generation.

Home to the Oak Hollow Open disc golf tournament, July 4th fireworks display, and various other events happen year round at the park grounds. The park features a number of amenities, including covered shelters, a bathroom on both sides of the dam, ample parking for events and is well maintained by the city.

Beautiful parks, lots of wildlife. Not much in the way of hiking trails. Theres no way to get between the 2 sections as the foot bridge that linked them has never been replaced.

Nice place for a picnic. The deck can be used for yoga or sunbathing.

This is a great location. Nice area to throw a blanket down on one side then the other side there is a kids area. Just a simple park but for sure on July 4 th, this park gives High Point one amazing firework show that is the cities tradition! I have so many good memories of this park! Like any park or area as this, always be sure that you are aware of your surroundings and if the kids are at play that you keep an eye on them at all times. Check it out if youre in the area!

Only problem is they kick you out about 15 minutes before sunset.

The John Coltrane Jazz and Blues Festival was awesome. Eric Gales, Jason Palmer and Brian Culbertson showed up, showed out and I look forward to seeing em again!!

They had the rowing competition going on. We sat on the bank by the playground and watched and explored the waters edge.

Excellent public green space. Just sit in your car and unwind by watching the water or have and old fashioned picnic.

Lovely breeze and well kept picnic shelters make this a great spot for the kids to run and play. Over looking the lake, you can just take in the fresh air.

Theres not much to do at this park, but it is beautiful! A couple large pavilions and restrooms are there. The biggest attraction, I think, is a huge dock and grassy hill overlooking the lake.

A nice view to see. Enjoy the view of the lake. Enjoy going to the festivities at the park all the time.

Peaceful and relaxing and safe.

Lived near this lake for over 10 years and driven by it countless times but never actually visited it until now. Not sure why I have never stopped to see this beautiful lake. Nice place to take a stroll or just park and enjoy the water view for a quick break. I will certainly be back more often.

Great place to bring the kids for a day. City of High Point also sponsors several events year round here as well.

Nice view of the lake, wish the parking lot wasnt always full of people with their engines running.

Its a big part of the East Chester area. A large unfenced lot of grass and some trees. Theres a water area not for swimming. Its not exactly inviting.

Beautiful, Clean and Huge Park in the Center of the High Point City in North Carolina

My biggest complaint is how insanely early the park closes. The biggest reason we go there is for the sunsets and they close at 5pm some days

If you need a break from life take a few minutes and go to the Oak Hollow overlook. The sound of the water and the beauty it holds is relaxing and calming!!! I promise you will not be disappointed!!!

Good place to take pictures and relax. They have a picnic area on the other side that you can hang out it. Fishing is only good if you go deep in a boat or a kayak.

Beautiful park, breezy because of water/damn and the north winds. Perfect picnic places and lovely shaded areas for blankets and basking in the sun.

The park was clean as usual. They only they should do is add recycling bins right next to the garbage bins. I just feel guilty throwing my recyclables in the trash bins.
