I just moved here from Miami. I thought the park was Awesome. My kids and I had a great time walking the trails, bird watching, and enjoying nature. It was definitely a refreshment from the busy city life!

The mountain bike trails here are awesome! The loops are long enough that you can ride for a while and then you can combine different trails easily to get more or less mileage. It also has some really fun downhill stuff and the pump track is great. I ride here at least once a week. There is also a paved trail through the middle which is great if you dont want to ride the single track trails.

I’ve been to Lake Hickory several times this year. Great place to ride. The jump line has been re worked. Also they are doing some work to the main loop. Can’t wait till that’s finished. Springs loop is also a very beginner friendly trail and also a great place for experienced riders to get better. Definitely a must visit.

Well maintained trails that are a blast to ride. The jump line in particular is phenomenal. Be wary though the climbs are not for the faint of heart as they can get very tough.

The lights at this place are very difficult at night otherwise during the day its a great place to play tennis

Great bike trail system - has technical places but theyre short and sweet. Lots of flow, two fun jump lines (can easily be rolled). Nice old school single track with some machine cut clean mileage as well.Hickory has beer options :) for post ride.

Great biking trails for all skill levels. Awesome beginner loop that’s flowy and fun. Intermediate is challenging but not enough to kill you. The jump line is the best within an 1hr drives radius. And don’t forget the pump track.

Hickory City Park is a well maintained park with several new looking tennis courts. It has a paved parking area. This park also has clean public restrooms and they keep the doors locked when the park it closed. The park also connects to the walking trail at Rotary-Geitner park.

This is where greenway trails are, Rotary Geitner park as well, tennis courts, great beginners mtb loop, Spring Loop. It’s isn’t too much incline and really flows. This is our favorite. The kids love the pump track too. People are nice here, and we met 3 other families with multiple kids, so it’s a nice family place for biking or walk. Are other trails for mtb jump line, and intermediated.

Folks should really clean up after their dogs, especially when bags are provided.

Has a nice assortment of mountain biking trails, and a paved walking and biking path that goes down to the lake. Good place to get some exercise outdoors!

For 3/4 of the trail there is shade so it is a great place to walk in the heat.

Love the wooded trails, but sometimes closed for maintenance. Fast bikes can surprise walkers, so be careful on foot.

It has such positive energy and enthusiasm

They have redone almost all th mtb trails and they are awesome especially for it to be in hickory ..the trails are all marked and the map is easy to follow ..also if u havent been there in a while they now have a bike work station which is absolutely great ....thank you city of hickory and catawba county for making theses kinds of trails for us to enjoy

New single track mountain bike trailsAre Excellent use of park land. Well planned and professionally made with local private funds, these are now some of the best trails in Western North Carolina.

Spooky dudes come here a lot if you know what I mean. The trail has lots of curves and multiple routes thats the reason they come here to do it. Even though there are a lot of good people that come here to exercise it still needs to be monitored. Try the soccer Park its much nicer has a good long track and its more open which scares the boogeymen away.

The trails are a welcomed addition to the Hickory area.

This is an awesome walking park . The parking area right now is under construction by the V.F.W. The lower side of the park is still open for cars to park.
