My only regret with Hershey Gardens is that it took me so long to discover this place! Granted, I had been here before for events (a jack-o’-lantern trail, for example), but those were at night, and I did not get to truly experience the gardens. Such beautiful scenery in every direction, you can stroll for an hour without even realizing time has passed! There are sections specifically designed for children, but I enjoyed those as well. The venue is also perfectly suited to host events. I will absolutely, without any doubt, be back here as soon as possible.

This place was amazing! Such BEAUTIFUL gardens! I have never seen so many different colored roses before. They do an excellent job keeping their gardens in top notch shape with the bushes trimmed, weeds pulled and grass mowed. You can tell they care about this place! Staff was super friendly and masks and social distancing indoors helped us feel safer. It was fun to see the bee hive and look at all the fruits and vegetables growing. The butterfly atrium was so awesome! What a nice variety of butterflies!

Wonderful place. This is the first actual butterfly atrium me and my wife have been too, and our first gardens. We loved it. Some things were not in bloom as to be expected as everything cannot be year round. We will revisit in the future.

Amazing! A lots of butterflies are flying!It is limited number of people to get into the butterflies room, we waited to 2 hours. But the garden is very pretty and good atmosphere, we walked around and took pictures.Especially the children garden, there’s bee’s house. You can see hundreds of bees are working through skeleton box!

We arrived promptly at opening hours. The staff was accommodating, professional and kind. The front desk person had mistakenly charged the incorrect price based on the person buying a ticket and quickly apologized and corrected the mistake without hesitation. The butterfly atrium was really beautiful! The tour guide was super knowledgeable and kind. Tje grounds were well taken care of and it was pretty cool to watch staff manicure the gardens. The continuous lawn mowing was not appreciated but I guess it must be done. This was my first experience and I will be returning soon.

Beautiful garden that is part of the Hershey estate. Visited in November in the late fall. While most of the flowers are gone this time of year, the garden is ablaze with fall colors from an amazing variety of tree specimens. A few roses are also still in bloom, and the garden remains a pleasant walk. The butterfly exhibit should not be missed also with a variety (but not overwhelming) of beautiful butterflies flitting around about you.

Beautiful garden with so much to see! The Hershey Garden has a variety of plants, flowers, and so much natural beauty! It is definitely a must see if you’re in the area. The price for the ticket is about $14, parking is free. Ticket price includes access to a butterfly atrium which I would highly recommend as well! So much beauty in one area, I’ll have to come back in the near future.

It might be biased as this is where my husband and I got engaged, however I absolutely love this garden. Ive been coming to this area since I was a child as my family is from here - you used to be able to smell the chocolate from the garden, but since the old factory closed you dont really get that anymore, but that does not take away from the beauty of this garden. The butterfly garden, the childrens garden and the garden grounds all have their own beauty. You also get a great view of Hershey!

Had a great time at the Glow Pumpkin Festival. This was our first time at the Gardens and my family was surprised at how sprawling the grounds are. We are looking forward to returning in a few weeks for the Christmas lights.

Absolutely adore visiting Hershey Gardens. I try to go now, once a year. It is one of my favorite gardens I have seen so far. The beauty of the rose gardens, the butterfly room, and the grounds in general is breathtaking. There is also a lovely Childrens Garden area for families to explore. Highly reccomend.

Absolutely gorgeous flowers, trees, shrubs, you name it! The variety is immense, and I like how most plants had a sign with their name nearby. The garden is split about 2/5 flowers and the rest other plants. I wish there were more flowers, but maybe its because it is fall. The butterfly atrium was also a great experience that came with the ticket price (which is around $20-$22 I believe). The only thing is I felt like I was being rushed through it by the staff. Also, there was zero social distancing inside the atrium. People were practically on top of each other trying to get a picture of a beautiful butterfly. Finishing the whole garden took less than a hour, but it would probably take longer if you had kids. Overall I think itd be worth paying $15, mostly because of the small size and lack of engagement.

This is a great place visit! They host a great variety of trees and flowers, including a giant sequoia! My personal favorite was the butterfly atrium, its a must see! There is also a wonderful view of Hersheypark, from the front of the building! Highly recommend!

It was beautiful here. I do wish there were more flower gardens to see, verses the ornate grass and rock garden. The childrens garden was lots of fun. The butterfly atrium was also a hit, but not as large as I expected.

My wife and I of 19 years were married here. This is a beautiful garden and well kept. Plus you get the added whiff of a chocolate scent when the factory down in town are producing chocolate.

Its larger than I thought it would be. They have a butterfly garden which is beautiful. We didnt see all of the property because it was way too hot but what we saw quite a bit.

Coming here felt like role playing Alice in wonderland. There were beautiful roses everywhere, there were sculptures and carved art works hidden among the trees, there were paths and trails and hidden resting spots, plenty of benches to sit for awhile. I wasnt willing to leave! A lot to see here for the whole family. I loved the whole experience. Inside was clean, bathrooms were clean. Lines were quick, everyone was so nice. Lovely time, would go again for sure.

Beautifully tended and loved Garden.We were there on a day that they were pruning all of the roses. I couldnt believe that they were just going to the compost pile. The lady explained that they produce so many blooms because they prune aggressively. Then, she asked if Id like of of the blooms she had just cut.You can see everything and take lots of pics in about 1.5 - 2 hours.For the atrium and Garden, Id allow 2.5 hours.

Very beautiful and well tended rose garden. There are also many other sub gardens included in this vast garden. This could take an entire day to see and smell and experience all that is here. We will definitely need another trip here. Extremely breathtaking!

Beautiful garden with many different botanical species and new type of indoor and out door plants and flowers. Many beautiful different type of colorful butterflies. Very professional, courteous and friendly staff who greets visitors with smiles. It is such nice and wonderful place in Hershey.

It was the end of rose season but the mums were beautiful. Well worth a trip. We went to the butterfly atrium as well which was something nice and different.

I enjoyed my time. The butterfly atrium experience was fairly shortlived (being limited to around 10 minutes or less) for the price but the albeit smaller-than-expected grounds were beautifully maintained and the staff seemed very friendly. You cant blame the grounds, or staff, for the heat but I would like to see the gardens be expanded with more indoor sections containing a more diverse group of plants. I saw many grass and plant exhibits, but the only flowers of true mention were the rose garden. If I was forced to make a complaint, I could only say that I believe the gift shop was a little lacking. Maybe it is personal preference, but I enjoy perusing the bottles of organic local honey, and products that feature the local area and community business over branded t-shirts and small trinkets. Thanks for reading this review, I think families with children will enjoy the short summer visit whilst breaking from the thrill across the street at Hershey Park, or the longer romantic end of summer, pre-fall strolls. The price isnt too bad with two adult tickets pricing at what I believe was twenty-seven dollars. Although, with the heat and roughly only 10-minute butterfly atrium tour, I dont think Ill be returning amidst the summer heat.

A great spot to visit during June. Sitting on top of a hill looking down Hershey Park is Hershey Garden. We had an experienced tour guide and gardener show us the many varieties of roses, trees and monuments. We enjoyed a nice time in the butterfly garden which was included with the admission. The volunteers and employees here were very pleasant.

Extremely well maintained and kept plants healthy. Butterflies flying freely. Very impressive! Too bad that we are allowed only 10 minutes to enjoy them...

A wonderful place for a scenic walk. Beautiful flowers that are well-maintained and an easy walking path with few hills. If it’s a warm day, I’d highly suggest doing the butterfly atrium first as once you’re done walking the grounds, you’ll probably be uncomfortably warm in there.They have a wonderful little children’s garden with lots of things to touch and do. They have a little pond with goldfish and bullfrogs. There is also some large, outdoor musical instruments for the kids to play and make noise with.It’s a nice leisurely stroll that you can do at your own pace and enjoy. The pathways are also perfect for strollers or, most of them, even wheelchairs.Another great thing is that they offer a military discount. It is free for Active Duty and $3 off for dependents. Children under 2 are free.

Cool garden! Probably ones of the best botanical gardens which I have been any seems. A lot of flowers, very interesting expositions, stanning view.Its very good to spend few hours here and relax. A lot stuff to do for kids.And butterfly atrium just very nice add on.Price are very reasonable - $13.50 per adults and $9.50 per kids.I will definitely recommend for everyone and hope to back soon.

Absolutely incredible place. Beautiful trees and flowers on a beautiful piece of land. This is fun for the whole family, with paved trails and kid friendly areas. Bring good walking shoes if you want to do the whole area. Butterfly atrium is worth checking out as well. Mothers Day special- Moms get to come in for free! I think this place has something to offer for everyone and is definitely a must see for the area.

Granted, I visited Hershey Gardens in the middle of a pandemic, but the whole experience was just kind of underwhelming. Lots of empty beds. Most of the flowers were beautiful but common. I did enjoy the trees! Lots of interesting conifers. I was especially a fan of the Golden Larch. The butterfly house was interesting. I hope this season was a fluke and things will be more exciting in the future!

Loved the Butterfly exhibit. Even in late fall the rose garden was awesome.

I am the assistant director at a daycare and we bring out Kindergarteners here for a field trip, as well as our summer campers for an outing. The staff here are fantastic and helpful. They make the trip so enjoyable for both the kids, but especially the adults who are trying to make sure it all goes smoothly! Highly recommended!

Hershey Gardens was a great experience! Highlights that on my way in the door theres a great scenery of the entire Hersheypark. I was able to catch a pumpkin carving Expedition and it was awesome. The heart is there really knew what they were doing and entertained us very well. Also if you go see this pumpkin carving Expedition make sure and go at night so you can see everything they close they also had pit stops for trick-or-treating for the children.

Even in the fall as the leaves were beginning to change colors the flowers were still in bloom! So many roses and countless other flowers, trees, and flowers! Did I mention there were lots of flowers? There was also a kids zone that we got some great ideas for implementing at our house with our kids. This was a great date destination even taking kids would be fun!

Just wow. If you are looking for a romantic way to spend an afternoon this is the place. Around every corner there is beauty. Stopping by the butterfly room on your way out is a must. All the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, a wonderful place to spend a sunny April Saturday.

For a mid April day, it was beautiful. There were alot of spring flowers and plants in bloom. We got lucky enough to see the butterfly atrium and the childrens garden.

What a delightful afternoon. The butterfly atrium was my personal favorite, not to take away from the beautiful gardens themselves or the many wonderful flowers and plants on display. Well kept and beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There were some insects on display and a very nice gentleman told us all about them and even let you hold one. My kids had a blast in the childrens garden as well as the butterfly atrium. I easily could have spent a few more hours just browsing and taking photos. I appreciate the work that has gone into making the gardens what they are and will gladly be returning soon. Thank you to everyone involved.

The tulips were in spectacular full bloom on this Easter Sunday. There was a great variety on display. The arbitorium, with its spring show of colors, was also breathtaking. In addition, as always, the butterfly house was delighful.

The Butterfly Atrium was absolutely amazing! I could have stayed longer in there.

My youngest daughter has been on a its all about butterflys kick. So while we stopped at Hershey Park for the day and spent a night at Hershey Lodge. (to celebrate birthdays) Whom gave us complimentary tickets to the garden. It was like destiny to go. We spotted a few birds and butterflys that we knew, like an American Goldfinch and a hummingbird. as well as what I believe was a swallowtail outside.

This is such a beautiful place! Great family day and dont miss the butterfly atrium.

They have seasonal events and its a great place for toddlers.

The churches of Hershey have an Easter Sunrise Service at the Gardens every year. Afterwards you can wander through the gardens. Beautiful way to celebrate Easter morning.

Taking a walk in the garden was so tranquil that I almost forgot I was right across the street from the Park! The butterfly atrium was a joy to be in with lots of brightly colored butterflies going about. Definitely worth a second visit!

I loved the place, even though there wasnt too much in bloom. The grounds were beautiful and provided for a very nice walk. I believe the guide told us there is something like 23 acres of land and you can walk almost anywhere. They encourage you to walk into the grass and explore the trees and such. The butterfly atrium was also a very lovely experience as the butterflies seemed to be so people friendly and flew right up to people. It was a wonderful experience overall, though I would recommend going when more is in bloom, though every day they have a table that shows what is currently in bloom. Definitely recommend to anyone who is going to be in the Hershey area.

I dont recommend visiting here during the winter as there are no beautiful flowers or crops. I wish I couldve waited until spring to come. I think that is more of an appropriate time. But the butterfly exhibit was interesting. Just wish it was free. Spending $25 just to see the butterfly exhibit isnt worth it. Even though it was cold I did see most of everything before I went home to get my moneys worth. Also they wont just allow you to walk into the exhibits they make sure you pay. And they dont accept student discounts which was a big bummer as I am a poor college student.

A beautiful garden located on the hills of Hershey, the Hershey Gardens has a large outdoor garden area and a butterfly wing. Having been to many gardens/arboretums across the country, Im not sure if this place is really worth the $12.50 entry fee. However, the free view of the Hershey Park from the parking area outside the gardens makes the place worthy of a visit.

Beautiful! Went here around Christmas time to see all the decorated trees but there wasnt much more to see other than that then. We went back at the beginning of spring and saw so much that we loved that we decided to get year passes to go anytime we want! Looking forward to going back and seeing the roses bloom around the pond!

Wonderful place for kids and adults. Admission prices are reasonable and include the Butterfly Atrium. Wear comfortable shoes so you can enjoy the scenery and explore the paths throughout the Gardens.

A very cool place to go off season and I think it would be better during the summer. The take away for me was great place to take friends and family visiting for a day or two looking for something different to do.

The flowers and greenery were beautiful. It is a very nice stroll throughout the property with numerous places to sit and take it all in. From the main gazebo you have a view of the fountain and the many rows of the brightly painted roses. At this time, I did not see water running throughout the garden as it was set up to do and I am not sure as to when this might take place. The Japanese bridge area looks like there could be some work needed to spruce it up a bit and that may happen farther into the season. The childrens garden was well thought out and a fun addition to the garden. Overall, it is definitely an attraction for weddings and receptions if anyone is looking. A gorgeous backdrop for that special day with plenty of space for everyone and a big tent for a reception. Enjoy the view!

Great place to spend a few hours strolling through the grounds and enjoying the many different gardens on the property. The tulips were the focal point on our visit but it looks like roses will be popular as the summer sets in. Make sure you visit the butterfly atrium to take in the many varieties they have throughout the exhibit.

We went before spring started to bloom so we missed out on the gardens.. but the kids love the childrens garden! The butterfly atrium was the best part. Its very warm and humid inside l, but the butterflies are free in there. They will actually land on you! It was a neat experience.

The new Butterfly house was amazing and fun. A great variety of flowers and trees. Although there were many visitors it was relaxing without bumping into people as you take pictures and time to look without being rushed.
