Nice place but it is embarrassing having to be weighed twice before riding rides. I would feel better if they weighed everyone not just the pleasantly plump. It was pleasant and the staff were pleasant. The different snack shacks gave me and my group awful food but it was corrected fast. So I have no complaints.
What can I say about Cowabunga Bay. I have been here a number of times over the years. While overall the park is fun, it is very small. There are only about 9 rides and a kids play area. Rides include a wave pool and a lazy river. There are numerous lifeguards around here and are at every attraction so if your not a strong swimmer they are never far away. They also provide kids life jackets and ones for adults for free. There is no actual restaurant here. They have a snack bar which has pizza, nachos, chicken fingers, and tacos. And they have little snack carts scattered around with pretzels, ice cream, etc. When your done swimming they have complimentary showers you can use. Last time i was there, about two weeks ago, the (shower curtains) were disgusting, they were stained and yellow. I tried my best not to touch them and get out as quickly as I could. All an all its a nice way to spend a summer day.
Got the pleasure of visiting Cowabunga bay, in Henderson Nevada. Its perfect location right outside of the city, with ginormous water slides, the wave machine a lazy river and some outstanding scary fun slides. They had lockers available, along with cabana rentals. There was fried food available, along with drinks also alcohol drinks were available for purchase. The ground was a little slippery to walk on. Other than that great spot, parking lot was also clean and easy access to the entrance.
Lines, lines & more lines...you will spend more time waiting to have fun then actually getting to have it. The only way to make the experience worth it is to spend the whole day there or to get season passes (this is the route we chose and it is definitely worth it). The best experience is if you can afford to rent a cabana or lounge, but thats costly. If you do that, you get a mostly dedicated attendant that does all the running for you. If not, then be prepared for a 30-45 minute experience to get food and drinks. Also get there early to get a decent spot to sit. I wish they had designated spaces, as you have people who have no common sense or courtesy and will practically sit on top of you and there arent allot of areas to stretch out in. Tubes arent always available in the lazy river. Movie night is cool but again they dont control it so people are making space where there isnt any and walking in front off the screen. I think that if they controlled things slightly better it would benefit the honest people and put a leash on people who insist on being jerks. Most if the staff is friendly, some are definitely not. Slides are decent. Wave pool a little chaotic. Experience can be fun or not so great, just depends on the day.
Nice water park, kids loved it! Best part was the SHADE when standing in line for the rafts & the stairs.....YES the stairs, very easy to climb up. Unlike at Wet N Wild, their stairs are extremely steep. Climbing up steep flights of stairs really sucked bigtime! I now know which water park ill be purchasing my season passes from.
It was my first time going to Cowabunga Bay and I really enjoyed it place was not too busy and the fines for the rides were not crazy long either. The food was a little on the pricey side but was better tasting than I expected coming from a water park. You didnt have to wear masks in the water or in the lines the only place that required you to wear a mask was in the concession area or gift shop or front desk area. Was my first time going there and I definitely will be returning
It was very fun to enjoy I didnt experience any of the rides but they have a little place for younger children. They also have a nice wave pool that every few minutes waves will come then stop so you can relax in it too. Lazy River is amazing.
This place is so much fun. Great escape from the heat. I feel bad for the business that they have to operate at 50% capacity but right now is definitely the time to go. No long lines, things move pretty quickly. You get to enjoy more slides at faster pace. Lazy river or wave pool are not as congested as they could be at regular capacity. Well worth it. Season pass is also worth purchasing if you go at least 3x in a season, except these days you never know how long theyll be able to stay open.
Absolutely the greatest place for adults and family! Enjoy a beach blanket party!
Its pretty good! But in the water you cant really wear mask and its impossible to keep 6 feet. If you care about that maybe its not the place to go. Overall its still fun to play with water.
The family had a blast! We rented lounge chairs and the service was incredible. The lifeguards were making sure everyone was social distancing. My daughter left her AirPods in the safe and Brooke was kind enough to retrieve them and hold them until we can come get them. The management is doing a fantastic job!
This was our first time here and we got the deal for the season passes. With the season pass we didnt have to wait in line. For this time we decided to get a cabana and our servers were great, very attentive and fast, friendly service.
We had a very good time. Price for seniors is great, as we are barely there, but we are! Staff is friendly and courteous. We would come back ! Thank you.
Super awesome visit. The park was very enjoyable, food & drink prices were reasonably priced, the wait lines werent long. Would most definitely go back
We rented a chair cabana and that was the best part of the visit. Our server was fantastic. Unfortunately, the slides were run so inefficiently that it was more than an hour wait (even at half capacity). Sometimes it was longer than 3 minutes between any tubes coming down the group of 4 slides. I was told it was slow due to social distancing requirements, but getting people in tubes and into an empty pool faster than once every 3 minutes would improve the time people were standing next to each other in line.
We had fun at this place. Wave pool was fun the slides were fun. My kids loved the little play area for kids and the kids slides. We went during the Reopening and it was only 50% capacity it wasn’t badly packed but I couldn’t image coming at full capacity. It’s so hot outside that the ground will literally burn your feet! So definitely wear water shoes. Like that is a must! Bathrooms were cleaned. Food was a little expensive but one thing I liked was they offered free refills on water. So after you purchased a cup you can get it refilled as many times! That is nice especially with the heat.
2 years ago I gave it 5 stars. Totally deserved rating which made me a regular pass holder for 2 consecutive years. This year I would give it a one star, so I edited to an overall 3 considering past experiences. The park is not observing safety regulations as they should. The lines for the rides are packed with people standing at shoulder length from one another.I simply will not support a business that has little to no sense of social responsibility.
Good thing I didn’t have to spend my hard earned money to enter this place. The first last and only time I will ever go here. Waited in line only to watch the ride get stuck for 10min on the big blue wave thing. As other people in line were yelling to employees that the ride was stuck. Finally someone get in and got the 4person tube floating again. Note I stated 4person raft. So when my daughter and I get to ride we can’t due to in accurate calibration on the scale. We collectively weigh 180 pounds which is well under the load limit per manufacture specs. We were then forced to go down an adjacent ride to get to the bottom as my daughter cannot ride by herself nor would they let her ride with anyone else due to the fact of this floating disease in the air. I express my opinion to the operating manager on duty only to be chased out by some maybe security punk because they did not like my attitude granted I had just been standing in line for 45 minutes in the sun do you have a very unpleasant ride down the slide. To cap off the icing on the cake we all left after that party of 4 and as my girl exited they let her leave with an alcoholic drink in her hand.
Come here every summer with the family. We always have a safe and fun time. Me and the wife love it just as much as the kids. The food is also great and reasonably priced. If your thirsty I recommend getting the souvenir cup. It is only $1.50 to have refilled and it will keep your drink cool even in 110°F weather.
We came through vegas for night on family vacation. Brought the kids over here for something to do. They had great time. It got real busy doing mid day and waits were longer but kids pool was good spot during that time.
It was great to finally get back to cowbunga bay. The few changes that have been made due to the corona virus are not really bad at all. For the most part the park is exactly how I remember it. There are plenty of lifeguards on duty for your safety as well as a few more employees asking around to clean and make sure people are following madk rules. When your in the water or in line on any of the slides you dont have to wear a mask which is good. The wave pool is still awesome but no tunes are allowed in the pool anymore. They also have a fence up so they can monitor how many guests come in and put of the pool area. Its not busy at all when the park first opens but as the day goes on it does get a lot more busy and lines get a little long. The locker area is still easy to access as well as the restrooms. The gift shop is the most disappointing not much to buy there anymore. We did get a souvenir magnet . We had a good time and didnt feel anything but relaxed and enjoyed our time.
I am a season pass holder. I have children and we all love this place. The season pass is soooo worth it! Weve definitely gotten our moneys worth. Even though the weather is really hot in Vegas, walking around the park after being in the water feels great. The staff is super friendly. The food is actually good, especially the roasted turkey leg. Add a dole float and it is worth the 20-minute drive! Sometimes we stand in line for the slides (which are all fun) but we spend most of the day in the wave pool and lazy river. Today, we had a VIP Cabana and the kids loved the lounge pool. Due to Covid, masks are required while purchasing items, but the staff is really attentive and ensures social distancing while waiting for slides or in lines. This is our favorite place during the summer. All good times!
This experience was actually insulting, I’ll start off by saying I like this park and is a great place to take the family. The issue was with our cabana, we paid a premium for the upgraded cabana and it was absolutely awful. I honestly don’t know what I paid for. The “upgraded” cabanas are in the far corner of the complex away from everything, they claim you have a server instead of a call button but I ACTUALLY never saw one. Not once. When I finally flagged down what was suppose to be a server it was a child that couldn’t speak sentences or respond to questions. It was really really weird. This wasn’t just wasted money, it was wasted everything. The experience was so bad I genuinely would have thought it was personal if I hadn’t talked to a different cabana and they were having the same experience. The reality is I deserve my cabana money back but when the staff can’t even speak words what’s the chance he can figure out how to do a refund. Not EVERYTHING is Covids fault. Hire people that can speak and realize that you are dropping the ball on what should be some of your most valuable guests. I went there to spend a lot of money and actually wasn’t able to do it. Instead I got ripped off for 250 and will never spend a cent there again.
We rent a cabana annually, and have found Kylie and Caesar to be outstanding cabana servers! During our last visit, they came by so often we hardly ever needed to touch the server button! Additionally, all of our food orders were filled remarkably quickly. I wish I could give a 5-star review just for them. However, throughout the park there were no social distancing guidelines being enforced whatsoever. This included entering/exiting the park, lines for waterslides and attractions, and food trucks. People were packed within inches of one another within all queues. I also noticed that employees, while wearing masks, were not wearing them over their noses. Most guests were not wearing them either. Unfortunately, while the cabana servers provided exceptional service, I will not be returning until the proper social distancing rules listed on the website are strictly enforced in the park.
I am a season pass holder. We have had an amazing time this year visit during the pandemic. This place has followed all protocols from the Gov. All the employees are amazing. We will be buying passes every year...
Fun place to go with the kids, but wish they had more rides. Decent food, decent wait time on rides, friendly staff
Had a really great time with the family! all the staff had masks and everything was great with the food drinks. I highly recommend getting a cabana, savanna our server was great and very accommodating to us! Thanks for the awesome day!
They asked us to social distance but nobody really did. Some of the slides are kinda boring and they removed the fun parts of certain slides. They werent doing double tubes on the pink slide. Other than that the slides were extremely fun
Great family fun! They were really good about occupancy restrictions.
Visited last weekend had so much fun. It’s a cute little park. The staff were attentive and the goers were respectful. No issues. Had a blast.
Such a great place to escape from all the craziness of daily work. My kids love it here!
Great for family fun. I took my brothers and it did not disappoint. Will be going again.
Just spent the day at Cowabunga Bay. Really enjoyed ourselves. This place is so much cleaner than the other Waterpark. We had a cabana with a private pool and a great host. What a nice a relaxing day. We definitely will be back. They followed the covid guidelines as well and announced them all day to follow them.
Its always a great day to float !
Great place for kids to get a splash. Nice rides. Wait for rides are really long especially in the 100+ degree weather. Food is extremely overpriced. *ask for water cup* (bring a small water bottle). I do recommend, just not on a 115° day like I did lol.
It is a fun place to take your kids. Affordable. Didnt get a five cause theres limited big slides. Still a lot of fun
Great if you have a range of ages in your group! The kids area is the absolute best we had ages 3,4,7 and 15 there’s something for everyone
Great place to go have fun when you want to get out of the house. We went during the week and there werent any lines. Lazy River and Wave pool werent packed.
I love this place! So much fun- Rides are AWESOME!! Food is decent. Staff is friendly. Will buy another season pass in 2021!!
This was a first time going there. We had a lot of fun. Dont mind going back. They have good discounts there also. Just ask.
What?! You kidding I loved the water park fun place it was spazzing dashing super fun!!!
Always fun to come here. The staff is polite and upbeat. Food lines are typically ridiculously long. The water is clean and the rides seem well kept.
Is a good place it would only be better if the water park was bigger
Had a blast at cowabunga bay Christmas town. It was a lot of fun for the kids. Especially the sled hill. As a family we purchased the 5 tastes from around the world and it was worth it. All four of us shared each item and drink from all the places. Which included Canada, Ireland, Japan, France, and Germany. Great price and good food.
Employees did a great job following social distancing guidelines. Reminding visitors to wear masks in food/drink lines and stay 6 feet apart. Only downside was that the lines to go on the water slides were extremely long. I went on a Tuesday which could explain long lines since all day passes are only $22.22.
We had a great time yesterday with our boys...this was their first post-covid outing and we were thoroughly pleased with the cleanliness and efforts to ensure proper social distancing of families...will definitely go back again before they close for the season
Food and drink are way to expensive! The gift shop is way to expensive and all their stuff sucks. The lines are way to long..the rides are way to short..the water is really dirty looking.. kinda foggy.. And they make you wear a mask. I was there 2 hours and I spent $40 for tickets..$10 for a small locker..$70 in the store and all I bought was a towel a tank top and board shorts..$30 for 2 drinks..another $30 on food.. and $30 in cab fare.. $210 I spent for 2 lame hours. Im really not that impressed..but it beats the heat..
My children and I came from California to Come here because we heard so much about it it was worth the 6 hour drive I can say that a 100% Thank you for the fun and enjoyment we had it was amazing. And a California girl like me we have a lot of water parks and fun in the Sun this was by far better than ours
Dole whip! My whole family always has a great time here.
Awesome water parkWasent full so tht was a bonus
Loved every all day moments with the gbabe!!
Was fun there wave pool was amazing... get a pogo pass well worth it
Had a great time with my family had the reserved lounge chairs in the kids cove. Cabana host was awesome (was in 18) I cant remember her name (blonde hair and always smiling) we weep definitely be back
We had only a great experience here. The service, from ticket stall to guest services to the cabana to every lifeguard- was so friendly and kind. Great job. I would return.Haley was an AMAZING server. The cabana was worth it because of her attentiveness. I only wish the website added that if you brought allergen-friendly food (which website states is OKAY and i have celiac disease), youd have to eat in in guest relations. So, i ended up not eating what I brought because that would have been a hassle.
It couldve been better. More rides
This is a great waterpark! Lots of fun for everyone in the family. My grandson is four and he loved the kids areas! Great place to visit!
We really like this place each summer. We went to their new Christmas experience last year(2018) and it was a lot of fun. They have refillable cups you can get so each time you come in you can either get free water or discounted sodas, highly recommend that!
Fun fun fun. 109 degrees and chilaxing in the lazy river. Food prices not bad at all. Yummy teriyaki bowls. Big bag fries. .25 will get you cup of ice and water all day. Kids area could be a bit bigger. Not tons of things for kids under 42 to do. Plenty to do especially in Las Vegas heat. Bring your tent or canopy and set up in grassy areas. Plus movies on Tuesday and Fireworks on Saturday.
I am a kid at heart and for the money spent, It was well worth it. Always something to do and for the Residence there are special nights with food trucks live music at times and security everywhere Including the parking lot. Lockers are available but go fast once you purchase them you can go in-and-out as you like your whole stay. Well worth it
Good times if you wanna swim in Vegas with out the hotel bs just a water park good for the kids too
Awesome park! Water was HEAVILY chlorinated though.
Great wave pool, great lazy river, I would definitely recommend
Not to crowded. Lines moved fast
Great place to bring kids and enjoy some great water rides and pools!
Had a great day in the park, it was 115 degrees we stay cool for the most part. We will be going back....
Lota of kids activities for kids of all ages. Very many lifeguards. Lots of life jackets for younger kids. Many well placed food stations. Average wait times in lines. Customer service is friendly and efficent. Very easy to find. Lots of clean up crews, great landscaping and lots of places to sit.
Let me tell you something, I Love this place! The waves, the frozen bananas and the pizza are delicious!
It was awesome! My family and I had a great time!!
My babies had a blast !! They really enjoyed themselves. We have a season pass so well be back !! My only issues is the family bathrooms ... Omg they were horrible with so many visitors at the park I get it, but man they need round the clock cleaning.
The kid zone wasnt toddler friendly. This place is just ghetto we got there pretty early 11:30 am and were able to find okay seats with some shade. I come back from the lazy river to my seats and childs stroller moved towards the sun while they took all our shade! People here seem to be very inconsiderate never again will I come back here save your time, money and the drive and go to to Wet n Wild .
Get a season pass. Worth the money. The wave pool is awesome. Lazy river is great. Slides are awesome. Great place for the kids.
Little pricey to get in love what they did with the wave pool the new gate seems much safer and plenty of life vests for the children
GREAT family fun. Park isnt very big which is actually nice. Friendly staff, food and drinks are good and park is clean.
Went here for my boyfriends birthday! It was super awesome. The only thing is the bathrooms are kinda subpar and the food/drinks are so expensive and you cant bring in your own
Great to relax. Im disabled but my daughter bday so lazy river for me.
We were very disappointed to see that they shortened the Surfin USA slide. They took out the last hill, making (arguably) the funnest slide into a short, boring experience. They probably did it to speed up the line, cause kids would get stuck if they didn’t make it over the hill. However, the kids still take a long time to get off the slide cause they don’t progress very far through the finishing flat portion. What a disastrous business decision!!
Family had a great time, cant wait for next time, it will be even better!
Everyone here is so nice and helpful!!great job everyone and thank you for providing us with a safe fun environment in these trying times!
Family had a blast! Great waterpark!
We had fun! It was a good day! Not much social distancing and it seemed just as crowded as it usually does, but we still had a blast :)
Bring your own food stuff unless you like waiting in crazy lines. Wear foot protection thats ok to go in water cuz ground is crazy hot. All in all loads of fun.
Awesome experience with the family. Our VIP cabana host Savannah was especially helpful and kind.
A lot of fun but expensive with a Cabana, free water and service. Service was great in beginning of day but towards the end they seem not to be aroundWater amusements was fun for the kids and adultsBest part of the water park.
The best Water Park in NV, - SEASON PASS, THE ENTRANCE KEY TO ENJOYMENT - you wont, yes, you wont regret it
We have small kids and bigger kids, we find that the big kids are able to run off by themselves and have a good time, while we take the little ones to the kid zone. We have been to both parks and find that the other park has a far more inferior kid area. Cowabunga Bay really covers all the bases, plus I think they even gently warm the water too, which is great.
Not a bad place for water fun, family friendly all together.
A nice place expensive on products merchandise Exedra the rides were nice the people were friendly.
Love it!! Great Prices Cool Rides
I love going here to relax. Get here when the park opens so the wave pool and lazy river arent so crowded. Around 2 it gets very crowded and the wave pool becomes unsafe (IMO) with too many inner tubes not being monitored. I saw 3 different kids/teens almost drown.Overall, though, a great place with or without kids (I took mine as teens, they are now out of the house)
Absolutely amazing time. Our server steven was awesome.
This place is horrible. The workers are horrible. The prices for the food are horrible the lines are horrible . You have to pay for WATER!! I mean its Vegas. Its over 108 almost everyday. Water should be FREE!! I wouldnt recommend anyone to this place . Worse waterpark I ever been to . bring back the old wet n wild .
Good place for kids, nothing much for adults.
It was so awesome.. I loved it
Family friendly, small enough to let daughter wonder around with friends with little worry, big enough for them to have fun.
Nice water park. Plenty to do for young ones as well as older.
We had so much fun and felt safe with staff managing social distancing and masks! Best water park in Las Vegas
Great Place! They have Amazing slides with a great wave pool We didnt want to leave! Love this place!
